1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. i pilling all my boxes (in which is the doll itself, not the paper around the boxes) on each other and use it as a little Rack ^^ with a little lamp, a selfmade tone spider, free gift rose soap from dollmore *XD* in the fairyland box are my face-up utensil, oh and on top are 7 twillight new moon poster XD"

    2. I think most of the boxes I have are awesome and pretty so they're displayed right behind my dolls. Most of them are either pretty colors (Like Unoa and Castle Anne) or have shiny things on them (Soom or AngelRegion) or are just an awesome pattern (Souldoll with that great flowery, yellow pattern. Eros, unfortunately, didn't come with a box, but he has a carrying bag which might be even better. x3

They also come in very handy for displaying them at some point or another since I've been far too lazy to get proper chairs for them. This works especially well for the shorter dolls.

    3. I usually put anything for the doll I am not currently using inside it then stack them in my closet.

    4. Seeing as how i havent had a chance to build my full doll set yet due to a lot of moving around in my household the doll boxes actually stay safely tucked under my bed, which is the perfect size even for the big soom boxes to slide under unnoticed. The boxes have in them all the cushions, papers, cards and goodies in them that i havent used (i have a couple mousepads apparently) so they act as storage for those said things. I feel that i keep them because if i ever move at least i know i have a box with protective cushions that my dolls can automatically be packed in without worry. That is already labelled and i know whats in it including their things.

I also use some of the boxes as couches or beds on the actual doll set that i do have up temporarily. Its surprising what you can do with simply covering the boxes and using the cushions too :3 I got the idea from some friends after id seen their own doll set.

Those boxes arnt going anywhere anytime soon :3 I think im stuck with them!

    5. I would like to make them into doll beds or something but since I don't have the space, I fold them up and store them in my closet for safe keeping... just in case I ever need to sell my dolls or bring them anywhere with me. So convenient. : D

    6. I gotta keep em- for storage, until I have a cabinet made up. I dont trust my cockateil around my dolls LOL

    7. I keep all my doll boxes (A whole 5 of them + a body bag and a Puki "Book" when I have 8 full dolls and two heads with two more heads on the way! lol) in our living room with a tablecloth over them in the corner.

    8. I'm a leetle ocd with my dollies' stuff. I keep everything from the shipper boxes to the cellophane packaging. They're all stashed away in cupboards at the moment.

    9. All of the boxes are piled in the corner. I store the paperwork in them and the certificates and any other goodies that came with them. I also have a lot of the original shipping boxes in the attic if I were to need them for something.

    10. Hmm, I only have one doll at the moment, but i dont think that i could ever throw the box away, it might be weird, but i find that everything that my doll came in/with is so precious to me, so i just keep the box in my room, and out of the way. But i guess i never really thought of what i was going to do with the box if i got another doll, i guess i would just store it in my closet. (:

    11. I store them in my basement :) Never going to throw them out, just in case you know

    12. The boxes are so pretty I just can't throw them away! I only saved the boxes and have them stacked under a dollhouse. I don't have anything stored in them at this point.

    13. I keep the boxes! I have 5 dolls (3 MSD, and 2 tall tinies), and 5 boxes. 2 MSDs live in one MSD box together, the third MSD and the two tinies live in the second MSD box, the third MSD box has lots of fabric scraps. The two tinies' boxes hold shoes+eyes in one box, and wigs in the second box.

Boxes are easy to find a use for; it's the cushions that accumulate!! What am I supposed to do with all of them?!

    14. I threw mine away, because my parent's house is so cluttered there's nowhere to keep them. ^^" I did use my EID box to ship out a doll I sold, but other than that, there's no reason to keep the boxes around. For transporting them around, I just use their carrier bags.

    15. I'm going to store them in my closet .. I'd never dare throw them away D:

    16. At the moment I don't have many boxes, just two. One of them is sitting beside my wardrobe, and the other one is under my bed, containing my mum's Sephiroth-to-be body, completely unstrung (oh, the horror!). I still don't know what am I going to do with the boxes of the ones still to come, but I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping them, neatly stashed somewhere in my room. I just love boxes!

    17. They are all in the basement.

    18. I usually chuck out the outer shipping box, and then keep the pretty box that they come in. Usually, I keep all their things inside it, clothes, wigs, eyes and stuff. The boxes sit on a shelf in my room, so I always know where to find their stuff, which is good, because I have this terrible habit of losing things, especially small things! So they're really quite practical for me

    19. I always throw away the outer shipping box and keep the inner doll box. My dolls hide out in there whenever I don't need them, so I guess the whole "What do I do with this?!" isn't as prominent in my life... Although I do want to find somewhere to put them because right now they're all just lying around on my bedroom floor. xD
However, I've been putting Quinn and Jasper's boxes to good use... I don't have a proper desk for my computer, so my keyboard rests on Jasper's box and my mouse rests on Quinn's box while I'm playing The Sims 2. :P
      It works out pretty well!

As for people who keep their dolls out of their boxes, I guess you could always store doll related items in them... It would make it easier to sort out each individual doll's things, although I guess they wouldn't store too much.

    20. I keep the boxes, I tend to keep boxes of most things I collect so this is nothing new for me (just a little bigger). I figure they can be a safe place to store the dolls (especially if I'm moving or shifting furniture around) or well, I just like having the boxes that things come in. As someone mentioned, they'd make perfect doll beds too.
