1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. I am a reformed keep-a-holic, myself... You'd never know it to look around here, though! *blush*

But no, I don't bother with the boxes. I have way too much clutter as it is. I have kept a few of them, just in case I should ever *eep* sell any dolls. These had to all fit within the largest one, and stack on the top shelf in my closet. Works out pretty well.

    2. I keep all the boxes. I'm such a pack rat. I think all the boxes are in the garage, some of the boxes I have dont fold down so thats pretty annoying. I used to have then under my bed but then I found my cat liked to sleep on them and scratching the tops (2 of the boxes have claw marks >.<)

    3. I also keep both the original boxes AND the shippers - the shippers are stored in the garage, well some of them, and the original boxes are in an armoire with the rest stacked up against a wall or within the big volks bags. I'll need a closet just for them quite soon, and yeah, its cluttering up my bedroom even if some of them are put away in a piece of furniture. On top of all of that are the carriers which are on top of the armoire, on the floor and a few in my closet - Alex

    4. Since not all of my dolls are new, not all of them have come to me with their original boxes... but for the ones that have, yes. I always keep their boxes. I also have a few of the shippers, just in case I ever need to send a body or a doll out for some reason.

I keep them all in the storage unit where we put the big aquarium and the other things that we didn't have space for in the apartment.

Why have I held on to all of them? Eventually we'll move again, and I want to have something safe to pack as many of my little resin minions in as I can. ^_^

    5. I do keep the boxes, but I have two rather large closets to stash them in.

    6. So far I have kept the doll boxes, but not the outer shipping boxes. Lol, I have too much junk and not enough room as it is, so a compromise had to be made somewhere. ^_~

They are all stored over in the garage of my other house which I rent to my aunt. She doesn't drive, so I get to use the garage for storage. :)

Mind you, I'm not really sure why I'm keeping the boxes...
I don't plan on ever selling anyone, except for a couple of girl's bodies and maybe an Arashi head, and no expectations of ever moving again.

    7. I keep all of the boxes. My SDC Kurenai's and FCS F16's boxes are both still in pristine condition with all their pillows and such - one is in my closet on the shelf, the other is downstairs in the "dollie room". Absynthe and Rosiel came in a carrier instead of a box, so that was a good deal.

Elizabet's box, however ... I had to break it down and cram it into a suitcase, then put Elizabet and Kurai into a carry-on bag to take them on the airplane with me (I got Elizabet in LA at the first Tea Party). So unfortunately, Elizabet's box is in pretty bad shape. I wish Volks had an option at the Tea Parties to ship the dolls to the winner's houses since many of us travel via airplane.

    8. I keep them! I'm a pack rat. I even kept the box my boy's body came in. it was a sweet dreams Mika box. I don't even own a SD Mika!

    9. Our place is pretty small, but we keep all the boxes in the bedroom closet. To me, they are important, and come in handy especially when moving.

      Sera~

    10. Huh. I can only keep a finite number of boxes because my apartment is very very small. I recently got rid of about three boxes and I don't regret it because I desperately needed the storage space.

The boxes that I got rid of were not from any of the less common dolls I own, however. Those boxes I still have, but they might be broken down any day now. I still have a box sitting around cluttering up everything and it angers me.

I don't feel at all bad about getting rid of the boxes, I only kept the ones I do have because I might need to send my dolls back to myself soon in another country.

I don't like having lots of extra stuff sitting around.

    11. I keep all the boxes and the shippers as well. We've got several huge stacks in various places around the house, wherever we can find space. I think we're out of room though, there's one in the hall and one at the end of the bed... :sweat Need to reorganize.

    12. I don't have too many, but I keep all the boxes. It is starting to get out of hand, I have a very odd shaped room, and they take alot of room! haha!
Also I have a hard time throwing out the shipping boxes.
It seems like such a waste of a perfect shaped box....

    13. I keep them all. Mostly because if they need to be stored or moved it's nice to have the proper boxes.

    14. I keep all mine for both the "fullset" aspect and the fact they are very handy for moving/emergency evacuations .

    15. I keep them all - they're all piled on a high closet shelf pretty much to the ceiling. I just like having them around.

I keep the shipping boxes if they're in reasonable condition because I never have large boxes around when I need to mail large things. These I keep in the basement.

      Marcia.

    16. I only have four as yet, so I'm not sure if that counts as 'a lot' or not... but yes, I'm one of those who has to keep hold of the boxes. Part of it is nostalgia value, I think, while part of it is a feeling of completeness (and the Tenshi no Sato box that Dee came in is so pretty... I'm keeping the box and the papers for the pretiness-factor alone) And as other people have mentioned, I'm also looking ahead to next year when I move into a place of my own: I'd rather have a strong box and pillows to keep each of my guys safe in when I make the move than trust to luck not to have them damaged.

    17. I keep the soom ones under my bed and the Luts box in the storage...
My cat seems to like to scratch Luts boxes
Quite handy when one moves house...

    18. I kept all of mine, both the box and shipping box. I only have 4 since Helios came in a DoD bag. All four are under my bed, I keep them just in case one of my dolls has to be shipped off to get somthing done.

    19. I've kept all 3 of mine so far... but my room is rapidly shrinking ><;

But really, it's not the fault of the boxes, it's my fault for hoarding so much stuff. XD I need a good clearout, because then maybe I can put the boxes in the wardrobe. Then, I can use them to store things I want to keep, but don't use very often!

My wardrobe is still full of 20 years evidence of being an only child XD! I'm sure I can find somebody who wants my toys more than me. XD!

    20. I keep them all and they are stacked in the rafters of my garage.
