1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Nov 1, 2004

    1. I kept the box. I plan to store her clothes and the patterns I make in it. I lony have one BLD and I guess that's part of the reason why I want to hold onto it. That and Marina came an amazing silver box.

    2. It's behind the sofa at the mo and it houses all my girls outfits and wigs

    3. *Laughs evilly at Helene's answer*

I've seen your picture, and while I KNOW that Tensiya bags are LARGE, you are NOT that small bwahahahaha

      Seek peace

    4. I use my boys boxes to create a "twin sized bed" for them. I simply take the "packing pillows" and put them on the box, (the box upside down) and then i make a "fitted sheet that goes over the box and pillows. The result is a really comfy looking bed, for them to lay on. I then make a sheet set to go over the bed, along with pillows and pillow cases.

    5. Oh yes, its a very comfortable yet some what snug fit:celebrate........................;)

    6. I keep all of my boxes and shipping boxes:sweat You never know when you might need them again someday;)

    7. I didn't get my ren's box X_X because i got her preloved...
But i threw out the box she was shipped in because my room is so clutteredXD

    8. Due to space considerations we normally recycle the outer boxes straight away, but doll boxes are excellent storage for cds when moving (we have doll bags to move the dolls themselves) :)

    9. I have no idea where Key and Donovan's boxes are, but I do still have them. Mir's and Leo's are just sort of chucked in the game room which is our current storage room, and Yan's (well it's the box for his body) is being used as a bed by my cat. *L* She absolutely loves doll boxes, though she only loves the actual doll boxes, she doesn't care about shipping boxes. Maybe it's the padding...

    10. Kiyori's box was all nice and gold and stuff so of course I kept it. He did sleep in it for a while, but then he moved to my head board. I have no idea where Rune will go when he gets here..x.x. I have such a small place..

    11. I keep the boxes. They serve well as beds and well..I see them as sentimental objects, like "This is the cardboard material that used to keep my doll right behind it. Ah, what a grand moment it was." :']

    12. All my boxes are either in my closet or under my bed... though I'm quickly running out of room. The SD10 body's box is in my car... it'll probably be there for a long time. ^^;

    13. I have a recurring fantasy that I find a slightly dingy but very beautiful BJD in a thrift shop some where...for a super low price ;)

    14. I made beds out of them.

Volks boxes have a solid bottom and a thinner cover - the cover I have folded away while the bottom half of the box has one of the pillows inside as a mattress. Over that I have a folded piece of ultra soft fleece and a pillow.

Iplehouse doesn't ship their dolls in a seperate box but instead ship the doll in a carry bag. I took the box, cut it down with a headboard/footboard, covered it in duct tape, placed the two pillows and a blanket and voila! Another instant bed. ^^

    15. I got Luka in California, but I had to fly back to Boston and the box wouldn't fit in my luggage, so he flew in his soft case and I let Junkyspot keep the box. There was another person there who needed the box, so it all worked out. I think I'll keep the next one for storage though, as some people seem to be doing. :)

    16. I kept my boxes for ages, until I just went what am I doing? AHHHHGGGGGHHH and ripped them up. Those souldoll boxes are just far too big ;)

    17. Ah, I love the boxes ^^ They're under my bed. When they get to be too many, they'll be in my closet. I like to keep everything together, just with my BJDs, all my other doll boxes get thrown away, mostly.

    18. A couple of my boxes are covered with a piece of fabric and used as seating. I've used others for other tasks, like my ToYou box makes a great house for some of my smaller dolls...

    19. I really, REALLY, wish I had the...uh... what's a P.C. term... bravery (weak!) to throw my boxes away. I only have two but, glah, they take up space! One of the boxes isn't even the RIGHT box. It is an EMMA box for my CYNDY! but, you know, those are expensive boxes so... -.-

    20. I have too many now. ^^; I had to move them from under the bed to the top of my wardrobe. Except Ru's because he sleeps in it.
