1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your doll?

Nov 16, 2004

    1. Mine have an area on top of my dresser( well....the whole top now) The boys are always there and the girls migrate back and forth from my sis's room to mine( she has the girls and I own the boys)..... All four SDs typically mash onto on little couch, mostly with Siorei untimately ending up on his rear and off the couch, with Quill snuggling the girls. I need to get a bag for travel eventually....they hang like puppies out of a big beach bag

    2. If a boy is "finished" for the time being - costuming, face-up, etc., then I will use him as a sort of art installation in various parts of the house. For example, the Bermann is seated - contemplating Resin Life, I suppose - on a bookshelf filled with Jungian Alchemical texts, the Shiwoo fox is sitting on a stack of hardbound Sandman graphic novels, the Saint in his wings is sitting on top of a large bamboo birdcage on the dining room table...

      I'll take some photos and post them.

    3. Oh yes! I would love to see the photos of your bjds in a complementary environment. Please!

    4. weee fun topic! Gise typically never stays in one place for long, but his typical lounges are my bed, the top of my computer tower, the couch, the kitchen windowsill, my lap, and my drafting table.

    5. In college, Shin lives on my computer desk (I haven't had both him and Azel at college yet), and at home, they reside on my bedside table. :>

    6. anywhere there is space to put him without being crushed or stepped on >_< my house is very messy and my dorm too, there isnt really a place where i put him cuz he's always in the way next to my piles of junk. but at night i put him on the floor next to my bed where he gets buried under pillows that fall of my bed while sleeping^^

    7. IN HIS ROOM. That I built. I'm hopeless.

    8. Our dolls mostly stay on the huge dresser I built in the bedroom because we like to see them when we wake up. Some of them will hang out in the work room where I've emptied the upper half of a bookshelf to make a little room for them. Unfortunately, our destructocat will get them if they're anywhere else in the house.

    9. Elliot mostly hangs out on my computer, watching over things and making sure I don't post any pictures of him online that show his ultra-girly nature.

    10. I take my boys with me everywhere around the house. XD But if I'm out, they usually cuddle either on the couch or the bed.

    11. PFFFFT! Too late. X3 You don't need pictures to tell~

    12. Ciel sleeps in his box next to my bed until I am ready to play with him.
      There's so much junk around that I'm afraid he'll fall off things, and I don't
      think he minds sleeping so much ^^;
      Although sometimes he does sit next to me when I'm on the computer. :3

    13. P'rinka sits with her brother on the dresser but when she's me at my boyfriends she sits on a box..

    14. My girlfriend and I have a nice little living room set up for them in our entertainment center. They haven't arrived yet, so we don't know if they're going to be comfortable there, but they have a couch and a giraffe lamp and a big ole lace rug, so I think they'll be pretty happy with it. :3

    15. Iikba's bed is in one of my bookshelves. . .

      He's lucky he's so big; 14 people cram into the space below him!
      [IMG]
      If he's not there he's usually sitting in the P-Chan chair my fiancee made. . .

      Other than that, I try to take him with me as many places as I can get away with!

    16. Right now I have one sitting on the coffee table in the livingroom, and one on the prior one's box on my table the computer sits on. Usually the latter sits on the old dresser in my bedroom, but since the second one came they've both been moved around every couple of days to various spots until I can finish the new doll up and have them both sitting together on the dresser.

    17. The space occupied by my little resin minions has expanded a bit since my first post. ^_^

      Everyone still has a basket to spend the night in, tucked away in my library where the cats aren't allowed...

      They still have the pink couch and wooden cabinet sitting on the counter between the kitchen and living room, too. Teacup, Harumatsu, and Jen are usually there.

      Recently we've added a white sofa (That matches our human-sized one. ^_^) on the end table next to my printer. Seimei and the Pups tend to take over that one.

      They've also claimed the top of the bookshelf next to BSR's computer desk and that's become a very exotic little sitting area with a carved wooden bench from Africa, a little Indian chest, two small umbrella trees in a bonsai pot and a vase of peacock sword feathers. Crane usually sits up there with Nightengale in "fuzzy" form. When Nightengale's resin form is here, he'll probably end up there. I can see Chanter liking that area a lot, too.

      I added another area for them yesterday... I found a big, velvet-covered, red arm-chair at Ross and put it on top of the other living room bookshelf. Sannru has claimed that one. When Serras arrives, I suspect they'll both be curled up on that chair. :D

    18. A shelf...I can't wait to move out to move them somewhere nicer and more visible.

    19. I am apparently WAY paranoid. I keep mine in a locked case. I have a seven year old (who is actually really good with my things-she likes to point out my dolls to her friends and tell them they can't touch my vampires), five cats, and three huge dogs. Not to mention eight horses, who don't, obdviously, have anything to do with my stuff in the house....except for the prodigous amount of dirt and manure that wanders in. They are currently crammed in the only case I have wich is housing my Enchantica collection, my Pena collection, my OOAK Barbies, and my BJDs. I am getting two more cases when money allows and splitting them up, fantasy stuff in one, Barbies in the other, and BJDs in their own. I plan on putting the BJDs by the t.v., as I like to be able to look at them all the time. Given my current obsession with them I am also planning on putting another case in my room as I don't think they will last to long in the one case before filling it up. I am planning on buying a few chairs to break up the sea of standing dolls, but I worry a lot about them. Maybe that will pass. When I got my first one I couldn't bring myself to pull back the head cap and put in her eyes. But I actually put a head on recently so I guesse I am getting better (I got my first doll from Rachel Graves, who told me they are way sturdier than I think and not to worry about it...hopefully that will happen someday). I about go into heart failure at the thought of them sitting out exposed...O.o;

    20. i'm in the middle of moving my room to a safer area in the house for my dolls so they are living in the carrying case doa sent with ariel. i feel so horrible always leaving them in there but there is absolutely no where for them to sit right now. all my other precious collections are packed up too. i can't wait to finish their areas so i can finally enjoy them!
