1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your doll?

Nov 16, 2004

    1. my boy hangs out in my room and he sits next to my bed or I have him standing on my dresser and hes never fallen over yet, at the moment hes sat in front of my tv on my tv unit which i keep my xbox in. i feel so bad when i put him in the case i bought to carry him around in as i see his face when i close the top and zip it up and he looks really sad!!. Its a coffin shaped one i bought off coolcat on ebay and its fantastic but I dont like to lock him in there.
I hardly use the case its stuck in a corner of the room, but it looks cool though, lol. Ill just leave my boy where he is as he seems happy to be out.

(I dont have any pets of any kind so i dont have to worry about him getting peed on, chewed up or knocked over by fur-babies)

    2. My Louise IIH Tania) is standing atop my PC case looking at me. My Haruka (Volks Mirai) is sitting on my new MSD sofa with a bear next to her.

    3. My girl Arisa rests in the company box she came in, where I put right next to my bed.

    4. My girlies set on top of my curio cabinet, overlooking my study!

    5. If I had a doll I would keep them in a carrying case or on the shelf near my bed.

    6. My doll isn't here yet *paces*, but when I do get him, I intend to keep him in the box with the lid closed when I'm not home as I have a rather active kitten-cat who's prone to attacking just about everything in his never ending quest to play.

When I am home, I'll have to be a little... circumspect as both the Hubby and The Boy are immensely creeped out by dolls. We'll be working something out for sure though. Hopefully Moswen won't trigger those creepy feelings in either Hubby or the Boy as porcelain dolls do.

    7. My two tinies live where ever they want. Right now they are hanging out on a media storage unit in the bedroom, that is their favorite place, that is where my alter is too. The big dolls live in their boxes on the elevated hearth right now. We are still looking for a good storage answer for them. I have two kids, one is a toddler, and four dogs, two of them huge, and the two little ones are nosey. It isn't safe for the dolls to just sit around, so they have to be inside a cabinet or up very high. We are going back and forth on either buying a nice armoir for them to live in (provides sun protection and accessory storage as a bonus) or trying to make space on the closet shelves for them to hang out. High enough and shut away so the animals and kids can't get to them. The armoir would be nicer, but our bedroom is small and it would take up alot of space, not to mention armoirs can be a bit pricey. Making space on the shelves is cheap if not free, and doesn't add to the cluttered clostrophobic feeling of our small house.

    8. The door to my room doesn't close properly anyway, so the cats can always push it open. @w@ Even if it did, it's only the youngest who likes getting up high, so it seems unfair to deprive the elder of a nice bed to sleep on.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that as well, since entertainment centers usually come with extra cabinets/shelves; the dolls could have their own built in closet and storage space XD

    9. ...i just place them all in a enclosed semi-glass bookshelve in sitting position.

    10. Mine were sitting on the headboard of my bed, but I moved them due the fact I was scared of knocking them over while sleeping. So now they sit across the room, on my dresser.

When I lived at home with the cats, I kept my kids on top of the computer hard drive, which is on the desk. The cats never climbed up there, so the hands, feet and wigs were safe. :)

    11. Up on a nice shelf, sitting in chairs, where the light can't reach them too terribly. :)

    12. I keep the pretties on constant display in a large curio cabinet in my home office, they provide eye candy during the day and good fun when I need a break. :)

    13. I am lucky in the sense that my uni flat has a no pets and no smoking policy so I don't have to worry about that affecting the dolls, so Gabby just lives on my bed, Sasha on my desk and Bastion has his own shelf padded with cushions so as to keep him out of any light what so ever (Tanned French Resin + Sunlight = ;0; ) and also so he doesn't kill the other two >.<

    14. most of my dolls live in on shelves, with no "door" so to speak, but i have seen some in glass-doored cabinets which look really nice as a "display" area... away from intense lights. I also have a few on my bedside table so I can see them when I wake up and just before I go to bed. Every now and then I rotate them... Ikea has great display cabinets... hope I can say that... if not pls delete.sorry.

    15. I got a bookshelf especially for my dolls. The bottom shelves actually hold books (!) - lots of them, as ballast for stability - the dolls hang out on the top 2 shelves. I have 3 cats, but the way it is positioned there is no way for them to get up on the shelves - this also keeps them from direct sunlight (which is only a concern for half the year anyway - it's 24-hour darkness where I live for most of the winter). When my 60cm comes, he will get the very top of the bookcase, which means I will either have to climb up on chair or get DH to fetch him down when I want to play with him.

    16. i keep them on my bed
since my bed is large enough
      they are very comfortable there.^_^

    17. I'd put mine in a sunless place in our bedroom so they don't change colors (they're dolls, not mood rings), where they'd be easily accessable.

At night they'd sleep in boxes like dead people.

    18. I have a wooden house for my tiny tinies. The rest of them have a shelf in a bookcase, are on my night table, or on my computer desk.

I do buy stands for them so that they won't fall over. I'm taking no chances with broken noses or fingers.

    19. I have two dolls and they usually sit on a chair that I keep on my nightstand right next to the bed. I just bought them a new chair that is to big for my nightstand. So they have been relocated to the dresser :( I don't have any pets so I don't have to worry about that. They never stand alone. I'm to afraid of them falling over and cracking their pretty heads in half. For a special treat and change of scenary the sometimes get to spend the night on the table in the living room. I just love to keep them as close to me as possible.

    20. I have a small desk where my dolls sit. So they are not able to fall.
However, after my Feeple Ashley has arrived, I need to find more space to locate them! The desk is quite full at the moment.
But I have a very small bedroom, so it's really hard to find more space for them to sit.
