1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your doll?

Nov 16, 2004

    1. dolls wander. right now, most of them are on the built in shelf in the living room. I also have one by the sewing machine upstairs. No reason, he just wandered up there and got left behind. I also have a naked mini in the master bathroom. If he's going to hang out there, I really wish he would take a bath, he's filthy.

    2. Most of mine at the moment have claimed my computer chair, that I dont use. They are there right now because Im waiting for an earthquake. That sounds odd I know.. but there is a valcano a few hundred miles away that is threatening to blow.. so they arent safe on their shelf right now. Two sit with my.. one on my side table and one on my computer table.

    3. Since I am an adult with a home office where I spend most of my time, they are on shelves on either side of my desk where I can look at them while I'm thinking.

    4. Mine are sitting on a little wooden bench my Mum got for them at a garage sale. Three of them will have to move, though, when Akando arrives. I'll probably put them on my bookshelves (the three little ones, Cassie and my two WTG boyfriends).

    5. I only have one doll so far, and he currently sits in his little armchair on top of the fishtank cabinet. I love having him there, cos he can lord it over the whole living room, but although it's quite dark, I want to move him to the even darker shelving unit ( I have yellowing paranoia), so I'm off to Ikea today to get a spare shelf. :)

    6. Same here.

    7. Mine stay in my room most of the time right now. I have a shelf where I keep them. But I recently made a little makeshift bed next to mine where I can keep them covered from UV light most of the day. Since I don't use my tiny closet for anything, I want to make a little "doll-room" for them to out of it. But that's going to require me to clean my entire room top to bottom so I can do something with all the junk I have.

Occasionally, I'll bring one or both down to sit by my computer with me while I work. :3

    8. I think there is a similar thread with pictures where people posted lots of pictures on where their resin mates hangout-if you want to actually *see* where people have them ^_^ mine personally hangout on my really large desk. As someone else said I would hate to have them away in a box-especially when it is so nice to look over and see one of them "lounging about" ^_^

    9. I plan to keep my BJD in a drawer under my bed to avoid all dust that we can find everywhere in my country.

    10. Mine stand on my bureau and are occasionally stood (or sat) on the computer desk or end table while I play WoW. They also spend time standing on my sewing desk when they want me to sew something for them.

    11. I tried to stand her in my glass cabinet with my anime statues and figures but the section is not tall enough for her unless she knows down but I dont want Nina to feel trapped so she sat on my dvd shelf with her legs swinging along with my plushies to keep her company.

    12. All mine live in my spare bedroom and have there own little corner with a sofa and mini draws etc, its kind of cute :)

    13. I have a built in shelving unit in my dining room ^^; I keep my cds, dvds, manga books and novels and such on there~ On the time shelf there is a place for my boy until I build him a bedroom or something similar. Which will be difficult, my sister is only 2 so I can't keep him down she'll either break him or scribble on his face.

    14. Mine sit on the end of my bed for now, though they should really move to my unused leather chair in anticipation for when more arrive and I have no room on my bed...

    15. I wanted my dolls and there couches off my floor to have more room and other things, so I had my dad put a shelf back up and they now sit on there couches on top the shelf. So there a bit more safe and away from light if I were to open my blindes. But if they fall theres a futon on the ground. My ZuZu kitty took a dive off once and thank goodness she landed on that. I have 19 of them on there tho some are my friends dolls who are staying over atm.

    16. My boy just hangs out in his box, actually.
Unless I want him out for something, then he`ll just sit next to me. :3

    17. I usually keep my girl sitting either in my dresser drawer or in a chair with all my stuff in it downstairs (where she is now, minus hair because it fell and I didn't have time to look for it...)

    18. I keep my small dolls on a shelf that's decorated like a room (chairs, posters, etc) and my bigger ones have a cute Dollmore wire bench that they share on my worktable. I tried using doll stands at first, but I'm way too clumsy and always ended up knocking them down. XD

Whenever we have company over, I have a large plastic bin I put them in, just in case. :)

    19. Unfortunately right now I have to keep them in their boxes in my room.
Of course I take them out whenever I feel like seeing them, but I really have no place to just sit them in my room.
Plus, I have a pretty big window that has some crappy shades on it.
As soon as I can get some dark curtains to seal out the light, and a flat surface to keep them on, they'll always be out.

    20. my dolls currently hang out on a leather couch i made for then next to my 'work station'. They face the room and conveniently enough they face the TV :)
