1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your doll?

Nov 16, 2004

    1. My dolls have their own two-room apartment in my wardrobe :) I like to furnish it and buy small sweet things like vases and artificial flowers and toys there. It seems like my own flat turned to be larger and I have two more rooms to furnish and decorate. Maybe it is not smart but I'm afraid of yellowing so I try to take them out in evening or when it is cloudy.

    2. Tima sits on my nightstand right next to my bed ^^ I'm too afraid to sleep with her(since her face up is special) but at least there if I want to cuddle her for a bit she's right there :) Once I get SD size though I'll have to have a better system XD

    3. I keep mine on a shelf in my walk-in closet and take them out whenever I want to "play". My room gets a lot of sunlight. There really isn't any point in having them yellow on display when I'm often gone 12 hours a day anyway. :doh Eventually, I'm going make a heavy canopy/drape for their bed so I can just cover them up.

    4. They used to be in the original boxes, but I would like to make an carbinet for them.

    5. Mine are in a display on my shelf, Not sure what I'm going to do when I get more. I am working it out though.

    6. I just finished putting together some new shelves for my guys and girls--they needed it bad too. The poor things were packed in like sardines on the old shelf they had.

    7. Each of mine has gotten their own floor on the bookshelf to decorate. :) Wish I had a bigger apartment, like my last one. There the dolls had their own living-space on the other half of my bedroom. I only needed the bed and the laptop-place. :whee: Maybe next time I move they will have more space to roam on. ;)

    8. They are sitting on a shelf, though it's waaaaaaaay too small for Haruka (His head is on Kurai's lap). When I move to college, I think Haruka is coming with me and I'll figure out where he'll live there.

    9. All 4 girls sit on my desk. Full size girls on the side section on my right, MSD on the front section (swarrico legs help). L-shaped desk in general helps. If/when I get more, I'll just end up displacing more and more "useful" conventional desk items.

Eh, all I really need is room for keyboard, mouse and monitors. Who needs stationery anyways?

    10. I keep my dolls on my desk, which has a shelf behind and on top and on the sides, so there's no way they can be knocked off of it. I have cats, but the worst thing they do is get FUR all over their dresses. Unfortunately I'm so busy lately that I can't give my dolls much attention, but when I do they're easily accessible!

    11. Luna moves around my house. I have chairs and stuff for her so I set her in different ones. but with you having cats I think that a display cabinet would be better for you.

    12. Mine will never enter my room. I still have a fear that at night they might like go all evil and strangle me in my sleep. So out in the livingroom they stay

    13. :XD: I use to feel that way about Cabbage Patch Kid dolls! I went for several years without a doll in or around my room for that same fear. I have since gotten over that. :)

    14. I had a Patty playpal when I was young scared the heck out of me! I used to think she was going to put a pillow over my head, LOL!

My 12 girls have their own 4 shelf curio cabinet in my bedroom. Goth shelf, punk shelf, casual chic shelf and demure lady & young girl shelf.

Eat your heart out Patty Playpal!

    15. Usually from Thursday to Sunday my girl stays in her box, sad to say. But I have to work those days, and my mom takes me earlier then usual. So, I think I should take her out of her resting area for 4hrs, and leave her all alone until I come back.. Just sitting out. Plus, I'm super afraid of her breaking when I'm not around. I think if she were to break *knock on wood*, I'd rather that I slightly broke her then someone else.. But anyways. So yeah!
But when I have the day off, I take her out her box, and just set her on the table next to me. I wish I could like leave her sitting around my room all day. But I'm slightly frightened by dolls in the dark, so don't think I'm ready for that just yet. Lol. And I share a room with someone, and they think my doll is "creepy". So yah. Until I leave where I'm living now. She wont be sitting around all day. Not just yet anyways. XD

    16. A part of my sliding closet is like a "shelf" and I put there, she sits on her mahogony chair with her spare wig + my music boxes and knick-knacks. The floor of the shelf is about my chest level. So when she's sitting her head and mine are almost perfectly eye-level~

    17. I've got this amazing little marble shelf that's installed right into the wall of my room and I keep my boys lined up on it most of the time. (sometimes I'll move them to sit on my desk, or on my bed etc. etc. as the mood strikes me.)
I like the shelf because it's perfectly placed so that light from my window never really seems to hit it directly and it's not terribly high of the ground. I think I've only ever had one or two cases of dolls falling off of it, and it's a soft carpet landing anyway. So it works. :)

    18. Mine sits on my book shelf ^_^ But once my bro accidentily made my Isabell and luna fall *I smack my forehead * Lucky they were on the third shelf to the bottom and that my floor is carpet. But no damage at all.

    19. I only have Vyolet at the moment and she hangs out on my desk. I usually leave her there because she sits on the little shelf for games and it's a little nook/cubby well away from the still-very-much-a-kitten cat.
I don't take her to my bedroom at night. Much more interesting stuff for her to do out here. :)

    20. Well, I haven't got any sheelves in my room and my drawers/cabinet/bookcase are covered in little trinkets and random things that I've collected over the years ... so I can't clear all that away (it DID come first lol).

What I do is use the pillow that my SD came in and have her lounge about on that when I'm not using her. My MSD lounges about in her box, which I have converted into a bed/couch, when she's not in use.

I'm on the cheap lol and due to my recent job loss I won't be getting any more dolls anytime so, which sucks because I've already named them :...(
