Where do you keep your doll?

Noah stays in his box when I'm not home, cuddling with his favorite stuffed animal. I leave the box open, since my cat doesn't bother him and he's in the corner farthest away from the window. If I'm at home, he's wherever I am. He loves to sit in my lap or sit next to me while I sew or am online or whatever, which is fine with me.

The only time my cat bothers him is when he's in my lap. XD She gets jealous that I pay so much attention to him when he's out. (Though she gets to sleep in the bed with me and he doesn't!)

I eventually plan to make a corner with a couch and a bed and all that fun stuff, but right now I just don't have the time. >_>

 

Right now, my Puki hangs out on the table next to my recliner where I use my laptop half my days. The table is glass-top with a metal frame, and her little magnet feet keep her steady on the edge of the table. I often grab her for an impromptu sewing or crochet project, because she's right there!

My Mei has less of a designated resting place. Right now she's hanging out in the living room, because I'm trying to focus on making more clothing for her. Otherwise I try to keep her in her box. She has a gorgeous wig with ringlets, and I feel safest with those ringlets in her box. When she's just hanging out, I take her wig off and put it in the box. Now this isn't to say I don't play with her, because I do and I love her. Her wig just... complicates that.

I also have a Lati Yellow on the way and I don't know where she's going to hang out yet. But I'm working on refurbishing a dollhouse where my tinies will live, so she'll have a home someday.

 

I made a sofa for Leo so he has his own place. And the storage for his belongings is inside of sofa.

 

With 31 dolls, there's not a lot of room to go around! So they all stand, as close as possible to each other, on a couple of boards across the stereo. The B-els sit, but they're the only ones, and that's because I just flat ran out of room. They perch their tiny butts on the edge of a box and stare across at the others standing on the shelf. I'm sure some gestures, comments, and laughs go on when I'm not there.

I have a cat, but she doesn't bother the boys at all.

I have told myself time and again, that I need to get some real shelves for them, but that has yet to happen.

I think you'd better build an extra house for them all...

Mine live in their boxes for the moment, at least until I find/buy/build some furniture for them.

 

Em... everywhere >> Right now there are two dolls on my desk, two heads on the shelf, and four dolls, two bodies and a head on the sofa in my room. I'm waiting on a new bookcase so maybe I'll be more organised when I get that, but right now my room is a mess and dolls/doll stuff makes up about a third of that.

I've only got one, and he sits on my bedside table at night. If he's not there, he's usually hanging out around the house with me. I'll set him on the desk if I'm at the computer, or on the table next to my couch when I'm playing Xbox.

 

Belita is in my sewing room with my "regular" dolls. She stares at them with pity since they cannot bend their arms... I also keep one BJD in my office near my computer so I can play while I work. And sometimes one in my kitchen on a shelf by the sink hoping for guidance with the daily grind.

 

My dolls are sitting on my desk, or in my bookshelf. sometimes I put them to their boxes. : )

 

My dolls hang out in various places in my bedroom!

 

Alice lives in my room, which I lock when I'm away...
(I have a very curious and destructive brother and sister)
I made her temporary room on top of my cupboard...

 

My dolls live on a shelf above my computer desk, well that's were all their furniture is... Their clothes/wigs and things are in a box under my computer desk...^^; They normally stay in my room, but sometimes I just like to have them with me around the house ^^

 

Usually they hang out on my shelf next to my TV but sometimes they'll be on the computer/sewing desk. All of their belongings are kept in plastic shelving that stays on my desk. As they grow in number I'm afraid I might have to start giving up chair and bed space as well. (my room is tiny)

He has pretty comfy chair and away from the light.

 

I also have cats, they are still kittens so they are naturally still pushing their limits, especiall when new things enter the home.
One of my kittens bites everything he approves of, and one of those things is my first BJD!! So for all eeks sake I do keep my dolls in their original boxes under my bed for now, 'sad' as it is. Until I have the space and money for a large curio that will have to be their resting place.

 

Suzaku hangs out in the entertainment center in the living room where she is with me during the day. Somenights she will come into the bedroom and hang out on top of the armoire. I love her being with me but I need her to be out of the kittens reach since they try to steal her wig when I am not around!

 

I just put my dolls next to where I work so I can stare at them. I don't have "a place for them."

Someday I want my very own tiny dollhouse for my Elfdoll Alices. That is way far down the line and far in between so I am not even considering it right now. That is why it is a "someday."

It is cool to read about where people put them though. Always cool to see people who have dollhouses house them and if not at least a corner. I wish I am as fortunate

 

My dolls have a little corner in my room. My room is always dimly lit, and darkened, because I can't sleep with light and am too lazy to put the screen up every morning and down every evening.

Kami (right now my only 'complete' doll) lies in my bed. With his pillow and blanket... Lazy bugger. Wait.. that would be me, since I don't put him on his chair.
