1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your doll?

Nov 16, 2004

    1. All my dolls sleep in their box with pillow and those box lie in the wardrobe to protect the sunlight. :>

    2. Stephen stays on top of my clothing dresser, he's got his own miniature bookshelf, bed and vanity. However this setup is really temporary, I'm not sure where he'll go later.

    3. Right now Anastasia sits around wherever is convenient - the desk, the dresser, the coffee table, etc. I generally leave her leaning up against something so she doesn't fall over backwards, but she's always secure wherever I leave her. My intent to is keep her on display rather than tucked away in a box somewhere. It may not be as safe in terms of protection from sunlight, etc., but for me, what's the point in owning her if I can't enjoy her. Even if I'm not actively doing anything with her at the time, it makes me happy to look over and see her sitting there.

    4. I put one of them on my bed, another on the doll chair~

    5. I am just making sure they are away from my doggies.... up on a shelf, sitting on chairs.

    6. Mine are standing and sitting around my home. Some in the family room and some in the living room. I have a cat and a dog, but neither one bother to go near them.

    7. They pretty much live in my office but some times in my bed room... Up high away from the kids ether way.. My home is also very dark so I dont worry about sun light.

    8. :)my mini moon sits in a chair on top of my computer when l'm not taking pictures or making things for her.

    9. My doll lies in her box or wrapped in blankets when I'm not around. I'm rather paranoid. When I am at home, however, she is usually somewhere near me...typically sitting ontop of a stack of textbooks.

    10. I just keep Scathach in her original box when I'm not playing with her. It's the safest place for her, because I have got six curious and pushing cats. :sweat But I will install a shelf for her where the cats do not reach her.

    11. mine stay in a pink doll case most of the time. i only take them out to change their outfits, and to hang out with them for a while, then they are back in the case, and back inside my cupboard. i know this is a cruel thing to do, but i dare not leave them around the house like that. esp mine are really small.

    12. i have no choice but to put them in ther carrying case cuz i have animals, i already made the mistake of having my guy sit on my desk and now he has bite marks on his finger....grrrrr:x:...(:doh my cat is a mean girl:(

    13. I've collected dolls since 1990 and have always kept them in closed glass display cabinets (I was lucky to get some from a doll store), for a few reasons. One, to keep them from getting dusty; two, to keep them away from my cats and dog (the Siamese likes to chew on things and the Pekingese wants to steal wigs); and three, because I just don't have anyplace else to put them, I'm such a clutterbug.

But it is fun to keep one sitting beside me sometimes. I bought some nice wooden chairs on ebay, and put one on top of my printer by the computer, and sometimes Sabik or Jace will sit and watch me work (I would put a smiley here, but I don't understand the little blue flashing things).

It would be fabulous if you could make your own case! I remember a guy in England, on another doll board, has a room with glass cases on all the walls, kinda like a jewelry store, it is TDF, I would love a room like that. Or maybe with little nooks, like department store windows, where one or two dolls would each have their own little setting ... like my miniatures have in their American Girl Illuma rooms. Oh, that's the other way I display my dolls, I have four of those rooms, for the tinies--Banjis and Pukis.

      Have fun!

    14. some are in their boxes and some sitting on my table

    15. My SDs are in my desk, and my msd sometimes are in the living room, or sometimes are in the desk with the others.

    16. I have cats :| Mean cats who like to shove my dolls and make them fall. So I have to keep my boys in their box. :...(

    17. My dolls are in my glass cabinet and in my doll room on display on tables etc. Only my B&G Sapphira is sitting on my sofa in my room right now. He gets the special seat now since he's the newest of my crew.^^

    18. I am just beginning a BJD collection, but they will sit on the dresser in my bedroom and on the high shelves of my sewing/doll room away from the inquisitive noses and paws of my 2 miniature poodles. :D

    19. mine are all kept in the living room in 3 different spots. some live on my figure cabinet, some on the mantle, and some on my dolly dresser.

    20. Right now, my floating MD Ryu head is kept in a box until I can get extra money to buy a body. Sadly.
