1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your doll?

Nov 16, 2004

    1. I keep my BJD's on top of my computer desk.

    2. my guys have the second-to-top shelf on the biggest bookshelf I have ^.^ I have two cats, and was pretty nervous since one of them steals stuffies from high places very often, but so far they've left the dolls alone

    3. I keep my dolls on top of a cabinet in my bedroom, away from windows & heat vents so that they won't get "burned". Sometimes they are on doll stands, sometimes sitting on their couches, it depends on what they are wearing. I used to worry a lot about them falling of the cabinet, but I've been doing this for a couple of years now and it has never happened, so I think it's ok ^-^

    4. Liina is usually where ever I am, normally on the end of the coffee table by where my chair and laptop are, or on the edge of my bed under his own little blanket while I sleep. I need to clean my room and use one of my shelves as a little room for him, but until then he's where I am. XD I take him everywhere when I'm not working.

    5. this is where Alice lives now, on the top shelf :)

    6. At the moment, Ealasaid stays in her box. Which is on my bed - between the wall, my pillow and the bed head.

I will need to do some re-arranging when my new doll comes home.

    7. my dolls sit in my livingroom, some heve their own chair, and some sit on my couch.
never had something happened to them.

    8. Its so inspiring to see what people have done for their dolls....well done everyone :D

I keep my DZ Hong in a box. Under my bed :( Im totally paranoid about something happening to him. Though, my second should be on his way soon and I dont have enough space for two boxes under the bed!!

    9. I keep my doll in a box under my bed, as well. Once I get my second, I'll clear the books on my drawer and make them both live there.

    10. Mine lives in my living room. Behind glass in their cabinets and on tables. Mind, I have yet to have my first BJD, but have reserved room in a glassfronted bookcabinet; second floor. They will have their furniture and be comfortable there :)

    11. When I'm not in the middle of playing with mine (which isn't very often) I leave them on my entertainment section, either posing on their furniture or standing with doll stands to give extra support.

    12. I'm clearing some space out on my desk for my first boy, so he'll always be there when I'm working on stuff. He'll have his own little corner. :)

    13. Mine all stay in my room. I have a small collection so they sit on the stand next to the bed for now until I can make them their own space.

    14. Issun and Mitsumushi (Banjis) have their own shadow-box style doll house. They stay in there pretty much all the time.

The Volks guys... Sunna, Yomi and Hideo... are in the living room. The first two on a side-table and 'Deo in his red chair on top of the bookshelf. Pally, my LittleFee Elf Shiwoo, is currently sitting with Hideo.

The main Turtle House cast (Harumatsu & Zhen Lei, Tien Jen, Chidori and Kitsumaru) are on the tabletop in the hallway between the living room and kitchen. Ishi is there, too, curled up on his mother's lap.

Amber, D and Mystic are sitting around on top of the stairstep cabinet, my jewelry box and the chest of drawers in the bedroom. Al is lounging around on the bed in his PJs.

Kaedae is sitting on the desk right beside me.

Everyone else? They're in their usual places in my library, where they're completely out of the light until I move everyone around and they get their turn downstairs. :)

    15. Right now I keep Kaizer on my bed. He stays wrapped up with a couple of fleece blankets to protect him from my east facing window. The situation will have to change once I get bodies for floating heads. Right now Cloud's head stays in a drawer lined with a couple rabbit pelts to prevent damage. I'll have to make some doll blankets once I get my two or three bodies, so they all stay on the bed. Except for maybe Deimos. That Heliot horn might be staying in the drawer at night. I need my eyes.

    16. I keep putting up shelves in my bedroom, it's horrible really and it looks like I live in a toy store. I guess, personally, I don't mind. But I also live with my boyfriend and I know he wishes he had room for his things ^_^;;
I've moved some of my more "asian-themed" dolls to my living room since it matches.

    17. I don't have any kids or pets so I'm not worried too much about my doll fallling down when I get her. I'm not sure where I'll keep her yet as I'll be getting her only about a week before I move and most of my stuff will already be moved out of the house. But the plan is to sit her on the big bookshelf or have her on a stand in the living room. I expect she'll be with either me or my husband quite a lot so I don't think she'll have a constant place to be.

    18. Because he isnt finished and to prevent yellowing, i put Tamil back into the box he came in for the moment.
My friend and I nicknamed it 'The Coffin'
Ironic, since he's supposed to be a vampire when he's done XD

    19. Well this summer Im planning on making little bedrooms for them in my room, but until then they usually sleep in there boxes and i keep them out on my dresser

    20. Well, if I have to leave her at home, she's sleeps inside of her box that she came in with her pillow. I leave the box open though, and on top of my nightstand.

Other than that, I like to bring her with me places. I'll put her inside a clean draw-string bag and slip that into one of my bigger purses. It's nice just knowing that she's there, and being inside the draw-string bag keeps her out of the sun and pollution.
