Where do you keep your doll?

I'm keeping mine in the boxes they came in for now but I'm planning on either buying a nice chest of some type to keep them in or maybe even making some sort of custom segmented chest with a glass window on the top so that you will be able to see inside.

 

right now my haruki's on top of my bookshelf sitting all so handsome ahahha xD

 

They all sleep in different box and place on my bed, haha~~

 

Do your dolls take pride of place in your home or do they occupy a small corner in your bedroom? Are they for everyone to see and admire or are they for your eyes only!

 

My boys are all over the place. I have four stops where they can all hang out. Aoi takes the place above my bed, Dai has his own shelf and bed, and Kizimir and Lithian are in the highest place in my room, along with have the most space! :3 Everyone can see them if the so wish to look~

 

I have shelves in the living room that they hang out on. I like having them there, since that's the room I'm in the most and I can admire them and fuss over them easily.

 

All my lot occupy about 90% of one shelf just above my bed. The large ones have a sofa that they drape on (or one does anyway, she tends to hog it) and the tinies have their own corner by the manga, the minis just spread anywhere

 

im currently trying to make a proper little lounge for my girls to hang out in,at the moment they are on a dresser next to my bed,but i have found a chaise lounge for them and am going to try and make a proper little girls space for them to chill out and relax in style

 

All my dolls get their own part of my cuby shelves (it's one of those Ikea shelves with 25 square cubbies), and I move them around alot so they can occupy my hobby room or my bedroom. At night though I move them back to my bed room where they either sleep with me in my bed or I put them on my many number of shelves or put them on their funiture I have around my room. I typically don't like to put them in other parts of the house because my mother doesn't like seeing them in areas where there can be alot of people especially guest areas because she's mainly worried about them getting hurt. Like if they fell down or something and got damaged from someone who wasn't careful. She knows I really love my dolls, and I go berserk when she knocks over my Zoids Model or Tokidoki Figurine collection just from cleaning alone. So if my dolls got damaged who knows what I might do ^^;;..

 

maybe on my bed may be in the box it depends .
but usually i keep one of them beside my pillow .

 

usually in the box... but they aren't finished yet... I don't want them to yellow! I want to have them on display but my house just isn't good for that right now.

 

I have a bookcase I tried to turn into a "house" for my dolls. It keeps everything but their clothes (there's too much now to put there). There are multiple beds I've collected in the last couple of years. The little ones sit on the bottom bunk of a set of bunk beds and sometimes in other places on the shelf. I usually handle them and change outfits every couple of weeks when my schedule allows me to breathe. The only time my dolls are ever in the boxes is when I'm going to a meet, convention, or moving. I don't like keeping them in boxes. I like looking at my dollies. I keep them out because with the dolls being handled on a regular basis they never get dirty and I don't feel like I need to protect them in a case. However I do protect them from sunlight while they are in my room. I need to take a picture of their "house" once I clean up some.

 

I plan on finding a cool square shelf and making a miniature room in it XD

 

Where are my dolls? Everywhere! Well actually all the BJDs live in my livingroom in a glass cabinet & on shelves. I like to have them around me so I can enjoy their beauty. I've never been a "keep the dolls in a box" sort of person. If I can't see them all the time, what's the use in having them?

 

They sit on their Volks couch on top of the vanity. Ha-ha-ha! Luckily, the wood and upholstery for the couch matches the wood and table runner for the vanity. They all blend in well enough!

 

I have a bunkbed I share with my sister, and as the younger one, I have the top. So I've got all this junk up there that there's enough up there to form an L shape that follows the wall that my bed is against. So in the bottom part of the L *at the head of the bed* is where my dollies sit! I keep them under a dollie sized quilt to keep them from getting dusty if I don't play with them for a long time.

If I had my own room though, they'd probably have their own display area.

 

My dolls are sitting at the top of my dresser.. Right now there's sitting two dolls and there'll be space for maybe five more.. But when I get bodies for all my heads, I start to wonder where I should sit them. I'm in need of more space D:

 

The smaller crowd sits on shelves alongside the bed, and... I need more shelves. I didn't buy enough of them initially to really give everyone the needed space. Granted, I also wasn't entirely sure how they'd work out, so I didn't want to go completely overboard when it may not have worked. But, yeah, shelves along the bed, which will likely be shelves along that side of the room in general eventually.

The bigger kids -- the Mecha Angels -- lurk on top of the taller dresser in the room. They're simply too tall for the other shelves; even sitting they're too big by a hair.

 

I have only one doll, so he pretty much has free reign in my room. XD He's usually next to my computer, but I let him rest in his bed while I'm at school or work. But basically he just sits wherever he pleases, as long as sunlight isn't an issue.

 

I've yet to get my first >3> however~

I have a really huge, east-facing window in my room, which sucks because it means my room always has a buttload of natural sunlight during the summer months, so I'll have to be super careful about where I keep Damien during the day in the summer. In the evening though, I hope she'll get to sit at my desk with me, but I've never had one before so I imagine she might be kinda big, but... we'll see!

When I do get her, I imagine I'll keep her in my closet during the day or while I'm not there, and with me in my room while I'm in there (which is often... heh...)
