1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Where do you keep your doll?

Nov 16, 2004

    1. I'm currently making a bedroom for Analeigh on top of my dresser. I'm afraid of keeping her out all the time because of yellowing, so I think I need to find a way to hang curtains or something around so that the sun isn't on her all the time. My bedroom is pretty often lit with sunlight, too. I have to keep her away from places that are unattended at night like my computer desk because the roommate's cat is always trying to knock her over.

    2. i plan on making her a bedroom in a big chest. (kinda like in Rozen Maiden) my room is tiny i already have a big shelf filled with porcelain dolls only, i don't think there's a place for another one. :sweat that's the best i could think of.
      i'm planning to have a friend paint it nicely inside and i'll make small cushions and stuff so it'll be all nice and comfortable.:3nodding:

      i once left a doll on my bed and my dog took it to his own. :sweathe didn't damage her but he licked her thoroughly and she was all wet.:| i wouldn't leave my BJD like that, he'd probably like to hug her too.

    3. I keep my little ones in a cleared-out shelf with their couch, table and chairs, but if I get my MSD sized girl for Christmas, Imma have to make some serious room for her. @____@ Also, the furniture made for her would be seriously big compared to my little barbie-sized girls, I can't imagine where I would store it! (Closet? XD)

    4. I have my little one sitting on top of my computer desk near the window. My only concern is if she'll yellow faster if I keep her there. The sun doesn't hit my window directly, and in the evening; even less light gets in. Recommendations?

    5. I have one of those IKEA shelves, with all the square boxes that make up the shelves. The dolls occupy 3 of the boxes at the moment, one where they dwell, one where their wardrobes are and the other where their wigs and accessories are. Once I get my 2 new Resins in, they might need to expand though :XD:

      Although, I am moving house, and I'm not sure if the shelves are staying or going, so they might have to be relocated. I really like my self system at the moment though, it works. But they're quickly taking it over :lol:

      Sorry, ramble-y post lol

    6. Due to the college rush, I did what I said I wouldn't do. Emma's been in her box for a long time. Not with the lid closed; it's more like a box-bed. I did make her a nicer box-bed, but because things were getting moved around, I decided it would be safer to keep her inside of the box, rather than on top of it.

      I don't know if I mentioned it, but she used to be on my nightstand for a little while, then on my bed. I got really paranoid with her there, though, since I worried she'd fall down and break on either my iron bedpost, or my air purifier, directly below that. I did keep her pillow there, so she would have some kind of barrier, but the pillow kept sinking down.

    7. I tried using pre-made shelves for my doll dioramas but it just didn't work, so I custom built some to the dimensions I wanted. Then I found out that making dollhouses is almost as addictive as dolls themselves ^^;

    8. I'll be getting Lachrimae some furniture really soon, but as of right now he sits on his large pink pillow on my computer desk. He's always right near me, and he doesn't get hit by any sunlight. So I find it a rahter nice place that works for a temporary arrangement.

    9. Chiru is sitting in her chair which is on top of a bookshelf. It's the one place in my room that my cats can't get to. :)

    10. I keep them in big cabinet in my bedroom, dust free and no light can harm them.

    11. Due to space issues, both of my dolls are on my desk where my laptop is. Unfortunately that's the only place where I can put them where it isn't clogged.

    12. I keep mine all over the apartment XD Ahh, the joys of living on your own... ^^;

    13. They lurk in my closet. :>

    14. My doll's main 'space' is under a pop-out table and pajama/bag rack XD It sounds bad but he has a cute little bed and his box under there with him. I mainly keep him under all that so the the light won't get to him.

    15. My 3 dolls are by my side on the table next to the sofa.....when my son finally moves out next year I'll be having his bedroom for myself so I'm going to put a lovely chair in there with cushions on it so they can sit there for me to admire ....and look pretty like they always do :)

    16. My girl sits in her rocking chair on the table beside my bed so I can fall asleep looking at her and wake up looking at her. Otherwise, she's in my hands.

    17. I had to move, and neither of us (my doll and i) have a room of our own. Marc has been staying in his travel case that he came with. What items he has, are packed in his box. After all the holiday chaos, I will see if I can't set up a chest or something I can set him in. Something to keep him safe from the cats.

    18. All of my resin dolls stay in their boxes, I'm really scared of yellowing. My Dollfie Dream and Obitsu girl sit on my computer desk out of sunlight.

      I'm really particular about my dolls, I love them so much and I hate to see when one of them gets damaged.

    19. Usually my doll sits on the shelf or I put him in my dollbag when I'm not at home, out of the reach of my cats and sunlight ^^. But when I'm working with my laptop he sits on my desk where I can see him~.

    20. Since I still have a dog in my room, I keep mine in his box ^^;
