1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you think you'd be if you weren't in the doll hobby?

Nov 3, 2019

    1. ...I mean... I've collected dolls in some way shape or form since age...uh...two I guess.

      ...I would still have dolls.

...maybe not quite as many. Probably about six fewer. Since I have six bjds. I'm not sure what I'd have spent the money on instead. Even more art supplies, sewing supplies, or possibly flannel shirts maybe? :huh?:

    2. I have a ton of other hobbies, so honestly I'd have probably just put more money into a few of them.. Anime figures, gunpla, ragdolls, retro gaming/computers, transformers, you name it. Other than the money factor, I wouldn't have gotten into sewing which I honestly would sorely miss.

    3. Probably exactly where I've been for the past 16 years

I'm a writer and comic artist and the vast majority of my dolls are character shells. To be honest I'd just keep on keeping on without the additional means of creative expression via BJDs.

Though all the evenings I've spent painting faces and hands while binging YouTube channels would have been a lot more dull

    4. Probably spent the same amount of money on lolita, books, skincare, or some other hobby.

    5. Ahh I've always asked myself this question every time I reminisce my old self. I would have gone to Japan if I weren't in this hobby. Funny story, I was saving up for my 1st Japan trip which was supposed to happen in 2019. Then Covid happened, and I literally just used that funds on BJDs :doh
