1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Why did you decide on an Anthro Doll instead of a 'human'?

Sep 24, 2009

    1. I have to admit I tried that as a kid!! We had a very placid white fluffy part-turkish-angora, Paddy, that didn't mind too so my sister and I used to go crazy with his outfits. Poor Paddy! Maybe that's part of the love of dressing anthro dolls for me... as welll as where they fit in with the plethora of anthro infludences from childhood books, manga, anime and western animation, art, myth and legend I recall growing up with... and the fact that I love animals of all kinds.

    2. Ah, a white Turkish Angora, perfect for dressing up!! We tried dressing up cats as well, cannot recall how successful we were at it. Childhood favorite books would be influential, I would think; like Wind the Willows and the Narnia books.

There are times I am still tempted to try to dress up my cat and have done it with Photoshop :kitty2 Last years Christmas card consisted of all four cats wearing Santa hats and holly. You would be surprised at how many people asked how I got the cats to wear the items LOL!

We need those creative outlets like Anthros and Pipo's provides.

    3. I didn't really fall in love with anthros until I came upon Charles Creature Cabinet, and Bubu Odoroki specifically. Charles's work is just so cute and his dolls have such life in them. They remind me of stop-action movies i watched as a kid like "the wind in the willows."

    4. I also own human doll but anthro are really cute, since I love animal so much anthro are perfect for me. I would love to design those dolls they are really beautiful.

    5. I was originally planning on getting a SD-sized human doll when I first got interested in bjds, but then when my brother lent me one of his to test out I found that the size was a little too big for me. So I was looking at tinier dolls, and I fell in love with Pipos's Mango. I've always really liked Pipos dolls (they are ridiculously cute), and figured that I'd eventually get one. However, I was not expecting one to be my first doll!
