1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Why do you need more than one?

Jul 13, 2009

    1. Oh difficult. So much variation, once you get one, you get a hint of what else there could be. Then you sort of get interested in something new, and start thinking about it, and soon enough it's not enough to have just one to play around with :3

    2. What I've kind of done with most of my dolls is buy them used if they're broken or yellowed or just generally not wanted and fix them up nice with some mods and a little spoiling with clothes, eyes, etc. I feel bad for dolls if they've been "mistreated" or if nobody's actually done much with them. Plus, with each one I get to try out new things that just wouldn't suit one of my others.

I'd totally be that person at the pet shelter adopting dogs and cats just so I'd know somebody treated them right.

    3. I thought I only wanted one doll until I got one and wanted more : |

    4. @fiolkow jup so true :o

    5. I think it is because the hobby is down right addictive, but it is probrobly because we feel the need to make doll familys, and you can't just have one person in a family.

    6. I just want more and more , when i have my first i think i will not have second cause i think it's not affordable and regarding their price it will shock my whole family, now i have 4 dolls with diff size and 1 upcoming doll, it's just addictive for me especially if i open bjdcollectasy everyday, looking at those tempting dolls everyday, if i can afford it i'll bought it, i already became their slave XD

    7. Good question. I can't answer that one. I would say it was because this hobby has become a downright addiction for me. When I first started out, I thought I would be happy with Pukifees Ante and Bonny. That was last year. Now I have 6 bids! I can't resist the adorable faces, especially the Tinies. And those cute little shoes........ I guess I just need more feet via more bjd's!!!

    8. I just ordered my first Lati last month. It has not arrived yet but I am viewing other dolls and hope to buy a 2nd hand Crobi T-line Wooyu soon. One is never enough!

    9. I don't need more than one, but I like having a diverse collection of BJDs! There are so many sculpts out there that I want to own and do different things with. They are continually inspiring me.

    10. Same here, I ordered my first lati but then I keep on looking another sister for her.
One is never enough and two is also not enough ha3x soon it will grow more than 10

    11. Because I wanted to create a little family! :)

    12. Because as long as you have the money, you can never have too many dolls! :D Hahaha.

    13. Because they're pretty!

Also because I have OCD tendencies with some mania thrown in so when I start a hobby I don't do it by halves.

    14. i need more than 1 because dolls come in different resin colors, sculpts and sizes.
and i fell in love with the sculpt 1st before buying them. and right now i love them even more. :)
everything looks awesome. especially if there is a winter event :)

    15. IT started as just one, I only planned on having one. I had Lumpi and that was all I wanted. Then my sister got me another one. After that, the floodgates were open for my off-topic dolls. Then came the resin. I only wanted to get one of those. Then, I got this great idea for another one. Seriously, dolls are like drugs and crack is cheaper.

    16. I don't need more than one doll. I'm personally very comfy with my MSD RS/BBB An, but I do see some other dolls I do want, and the thing is, it's because I like to display them, they're like art almost.

    17. Let's be honest here, we all love our dolls. Why not buy more lovely ladies to add to our collection? <3

    18. For me it's because I want to have a doll in 2 different sizes, I want SDs and MSDs. This way I can give each different personalities or looks.

    19. If I could stick to two that would be great. One to display and one to play with. One is NOT an option for me cause I need to have one in perfect condition to display, it's just a weird thing I have. But I have and want more than that cause there are so many cute dolls!!!!

    20. They all have different personalities - and I have different characters that need different dolls.
