1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Why just a head?

Oct 15, 2007

    1. The heads were on sale, to put simply. My impldoll event head didn't have the option to get the body, so he is just going to be a floating head for a while. My IOS head was on sale too and I wanted to buy the body as well, but didn't have the money at the time. Now he has a body coming home soon ^^

    2. I bought heads because I fell in love with some that were being sold alone. It is a challenge to find bodies sometimes though. But - I fall in love with the heads - whether they are on a body or not. So, consequently - I end up looking for bodies. Sounds funny when you say it!!

    3. I prefer to buy full dolls but sometimes I don't like the body but love the head. One time, I purchased a head from a company that didn't make bodies. Another time, I was buying from a relatively new company and I felt more comfortable about just buying a head than a whole doll because of the amount of money involved and lack of reviews. Also, I had no idea if the head would be available when I had the money to buy the full doll.

    4. I bought my first doll complete and not just a head, but I currently have a head that I'm waiting to receive at the moment. To answer your question, my next doll will be a floating head for a while because I currently cannot afford a doll body, hence why I'm doing it in steps. (Also, the company's body is shorter than what I had in mind, and I'm opting to purchase from a different company.) As soon as I'd have enough saved up, only then shall I get the body.

    5. I prefer a complete doll, but sometimes I like just the head and not the body or a company release a limited head and I don't have money to buy the complete doll. When it happens it's better to buy just the head in my opinion

    6. Alas, poor Yorick I knew him well. The head I just ordered is just a skull that has never been paired with a body. If the company sold the skull with a body I might have considered it but I had my eye on another body from another company.
