Will you choose Chinese BJD company?

Jun 23, 2010

    1. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
I ordered my first 2 BJDs and one of them is an HZ doll.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
I don't have a particular favorite but I am liking the doll selections from: HZ, DZ, Angell Studio.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
I am new to BJDs but I would say the sculpt, the character and expressions the doll can portray, and the body. Down the line I would probably look more closely at the resin, pose-ability, size, and other specific details.

    2. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
      My doll is from Resinsoul.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
I currently love Doll Leaves. I like how their doll poses.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
When I picked my Resinsoul doll, I chose him because of his sculpt.

    3. I own two RS dolls and have two Dollzone dolls on order. I'm not nuts about the way ResinSoul strings their dolls as they tend to be quite floppy even straight from the factory, but they have the widest variety in color. I couldn't have gotten an Evra from another company.

I love DZ but Spiritdoll blows me away. I just haven't found any that would fit any of my characters.

That's how I decide what doll to buy: whether they fit a character. Country of origin doesn't matter. Admittedly, "Made in China" can mean substandard quality in some products at worst and wage-slavery at best, because of the way American companies outsource manufacturing and the reasons why they do it, but this is does not apply to abjds.

    4. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?

I would, if I like the sculpt. ^^ Of course, like any other company, I would read up on company reviews first.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?

My favorite for bodies is Ringdoll... I love(d) their Ring Teen Boy Body 1. I'm also a fan of many of the Angell Studio sculpts.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?

      1. The face is most important
      2. Resin color is second for me
      3. Then the body, for both esthetic purposes and pose-ability
      4. Lastly, the price has to be practical for me. Nothing over $1,000. ^^;;

    5. I have a Bobobie, and I have two 5StarDolls coming to me!

    6. When I searched for a doll for my character I looked at companies who offer tan dolls. Dollzone makes gorgeous tan, so I chose Brant in tan. His quality is great, and he was shipped just in time. Dollzone is a respectable Chinese company. I also purchased a pair of limited boots with him, and they are made out of natural leather - this was a very pleasant surprise.

    7. I tried to find a company is the USA. I could not find a single doll maker here that was affordable. So yes I went with a chinese company.

    8. i prefer chinese company than korean because i think their shoes, clothes etc are cheaper

    9. I have two Chinese BJD's - a BBB Song and an Illusion Spirit LingXi, and A Doll Chateau Colin on the way! No particular preference on companies, the sculpt is most important to me!

    10. My personal favourite company is Ringdoll, but they've been having some problems lately and haven't been very responsive to e-mails. :|

    11. I own an Angel of Dream Rao, and so far I love her to pieces. This Christmas I'm getting two Doll-love girls (an SD and a Yo). So far Doll-love is my favourite because of the way the dolls look and such.

What makes me decide on a doll is definitely the sculpt, faceup and the body. If I don't like the look of the doll I wont get it. However, price factors in me buying a doll, and so does the reputation of the company.

    12. How many of you will take dolls from chinese BJD company?
I certainly will! As my first doll is from the Company Illusion Spirit which is chinese.

Which chinese BJD company you love the most?
I personally love Illusion spirit as my first doll is from there, also i love most of there doll molds, i think there so pretty!!

When you decide to take a doll, whats the point you care the most?
The dolls face sculpt, if i love there face and can't get it out of my head i will save up for that doll. :D

    13. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
I have a B&G doll right now, and I want a Ringdoll...when they sort their problems out...

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?

Hmmm...I like Ringdolls dolls most, but B&G is the only one I've dealt with. And I do like them, the product was great for his price and fast coming out :) And it was no hassle ordering.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?

I buy the sculpts that connect with me. Right now that's a Ringdoll Petter. However, I need to collect the money for him, and hopefully by then, the company is out of its problems....

    14. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
I have a BJD cat from Dikadoll. I'm not opposed to Chinese companies, but I prefer Japanese and specific Korean.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
DZ has awesome looking dolls. I was impressed with Dikadoll's quality.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
Facial expression and then the size.

    15. Currently my dolls are all from ResinSoul (MSD and SD). I chose because I adore their faces and the details on their body sculpts. And I am simply in love with DollZone dolls.

I don't chose a doll company based on place of origin, though. I chose by how striking the doll's face is and, if it's a character doll, there is a resin color that matches the character's skin tone.

    16. It took me a bit to figure out where the dolls on my wishlist are from. I mostly work with dealers and not directly with companies. Turns out I've got one Korean doll on my list and the rest are from various companies based in China. Honestly if they make quality dolls in sculpts I love I wouldn't care if they shipped from Mars

    17. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
So far I know/visited only a few, (I'd like to know more companies in China that are currently not known outside of China please?) But I hope I'll get one.
Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
For now, I really love Beyours head sculpts.
When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
That they can exhibit a character I made or has potential to grow into themselves I suppose, their head sculpt has to look good at most angles to me, and realistic looking faces are important to me too.

    18. I have two dolls, both from Chinese companies (DollLove, DollZone), and I love them dearly ^0^
To me, all that maters is that they fit the characters I have in mind.

Also, I don't understand why I SHOULDN'T take dolls from Chinese companies... the Chinese are generally very good at making all sorts of stuff 8try walking around your house and look at the "made in..."-labels; you'll find quite a lot of real good quality stuff is Chinese) XP

    19. 'made in China' labels are usually meaning that the foreign (American mostly but all first world and some second and third world do) companies that made the product have workhouses in China where they produce their goods because the labour is cheaper. A lot of good quality stuff and a lot of total garbage are made in China, and that has more to do with the companies producing them than anything else.

Dolls are a completely different story since these Chinese companies are actually based in China with Chinese business practices. But from what experiences I've had with them (B&G doll of my own, DollZone of friends), their dolls are completely up to par. Nothing wrong with buying from them.

    20. Yeah, I know that those are mostly foreign companies, but they wouldn't be able to get all their things made in China, and get people to accept it, if the ones making the items were terrible at it.
Here in Norway at least, the Chinese do have a reputation on them for being extremely innovative and good with their hands, so... I (originally) feel better buying something made in China than in a good couple of western countries, because, through my experience, the Chinese products have an overall better quality.

But yeah, of course there're a lot of crap from China too, but those are (again, from my experience) mostly bootleg items, and well, western bootlegs aren't exactly better (the few there is)
