It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Will you choose Chinese BJD company?

Jun 23, 2010

    1. Hm, I own two Chinese dolls, DZ Luke and Doll Chateau Colin, others from Korean.

Actually the company origin doesn't matter to me, but now I impressed by La Legende de Temps.

Haha...I will choose a doll who make me love at first sight.

    2. I think it is really not important where the dolll come from, it depends on how you love particular stlye since every company (chinese, japanese, korean) has a very unique style. And I think now most companies have realized the importance of costumer communication, so that is not a problem.

I also love LLT's works a lot!! I love Roderich:)

    3. I don't think it's important where a Doll is made. I have two doll's from China, one here with me currently and my DollZone Shuang Er has been shipped to a U.S dealer then to me so.. :)

    4. I couldn't care less about which country my dolls are from, but I don't own any Chinese dolls at the moment.
Doll Chateau has caught my attention. They're bodies are so original and interesting. If they come out with a head I like, I would probably bring one home.

    5. I currently own two BJDs. The first an HZ (Heisejinyao&Ziyulinglong) normal pink "Wang-Ye" and AoD's new msd boy, "Shajia" also known as "Jiasha" in white. Funny thing is, I didn't pay attention to where these companies were located and discovered that they were both from China just recently.

Favorite Chinese company? Oh, definitely Heisejinyao&Ziyulinglong. They have great poseability, fantastic resin, (no seam lines), and outstanding outfits that are one of the best out there. Angel of Dream is awesome too, but from my personal experience, the outfits, though VERY cool are NOTHING compared to HZ's in quality.

I plan to buy from Doll Zone in the near future, they have some pretty interesting sculpts.

    6. I just realized something...It seems all the companies I love just so happen to be Chinese. O_o

    7. All my favorite dolls are from chinese companies.
I like a sculpt? 90% of the time it's from a chinese company.

    8. When I last posted, I only had one tiny doll made in China. Now I'm getting a few more.

I started buying BJDs when the companies were in Japan and Korea. Now many dolls are made in China. I really don't pay that much attention to where the dolls are from (other than just being curious). What matters to me is if I fall in love with the sculpt! :D

    9. My first doll is from Angel Studio. I think no matter which country the doll company belongs to, if you love your doll, then its enough~~~But different doll company will have their own face characteristic~

    10. Many of the dolls I drool at are from China. I absolutely adore Dollzone for example. As to quality I see no difference. I think it is the resin components which can make a difference and not so much where it is cast.
I also think many companies might be located in Korea but cast their dolls in China due to the cost being lower there in general (why many companies around the world choose to have their merchandise manufactured in China).

    11. I've chosen two times.
1 Spiritdoll for perfect lines, for realism.
      2 Dollzone for unique ideas.
      I also adore Loongsoul.
Realism, human like looking. High quality. Hope it will be always high.

    12. Both of mine are from China and I love them a lot! There are amazing artists all over the world but you gotta think.. there are a lot of people in China.. XD So a lot of artists... and a lot of really good ones!

    13. Dollzone is one of my favorite Chinese Companies! Their dolls seem to be fairly high quality, and they seem to be very sturdy. I own one of their 70cm boys, and my husband owns one of the Dragon Girls sculpts they gave out one year. I'm certainly careful with all of my dollies, but I feel a lot more "safe" carrying them around verses some of my Japanese ones.
I'm always willing to try Chinese companies if their dolls are seemingly decent quality.

    14. A majority of the dolls I currently own come from Chinese companies (Angell-Studio, Angel of Dream, Dika Doll, and Dollzone). If I had to pick one company as a favorite and to purchase a new doll from, it would be Angell-Studio. Their dolls to me are very high quality(no seam lines, come kipped, and you have a variety of resin options from solid to french resin) and pose very well for me. It's everything I could ask for in a BJD.

    15. I don't really care what country the dolls I buy are from, I have two DZ dolls and I like them as much as my volks. What really matters to me is the quality of the work, and how they fit into my stories.

    16. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
i don't own any yet. I'm not that fond of the Chinese BJD companies I'm aware of the only positives i can think of is that most of the ones i know are lower in price
Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
so far Oasis doll has beautiful sculpts and i think Spiritdoll are nice though they are not my taste
When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
the most important thing is the sculpt the quality of the doll

    17. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
I love dolls from all countries. It doesn't matter to me where a doll is made.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
      My taste varies.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
      How they look.

    18. I totally have. Actually, seems like most of my dolls at the moment are Chinese in origin/from Chinese companies. XD;

I have two boys from DollZone, one from Illusion Spirit, one from 5StarDoll and one from HZdoll.

HZdoll is a wonderful company. I love their sculpts, and the fact that they use a carry bag instead of a box is WONDERFUL. I love it so much/wish that more companies would do this. I want to buy more dolls from them. Also, they make gorgeous outfits.

Illusion Spirit has really awesome giveaways when they run events. I really hope they never change as far as that goes. They also have really nice sculpts, too.

Dollzone was one of the first BJD companies I bought from. I love my DZ Floy and DZ (tan) YUU-2. Their sculpts are actually pretty awesome in person, at least in my opinion. They also have a few other sculpts that I'd consider buying.

      My 5StarDoll boy is an MSD-sized, and I got his head secondhand. A local BJD owner was selling a blank, floating head she had from that company. When I saw the head, I was impressed with the details of the sculpt. I couldn't resist buying him! XD;

So, yes, in a way, I've supported a good handful of Chinese BJD companies for one reason or another. :3c

    19. Too late already have. I bought my first doll, Angel Of Dream Lan. I personally don't see anything wrong with buying from a Chinese company. As long as you like the sculpt which AOD has lots of.

    20. I love 5StarDoll! I bought my first and only girl from there! I don't care where the dolls come from as long as I like the sculpt and quality!
