It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Will you choose Chinese BJD company?

Jun 23, 2010

    1. I have indeed purchased from Chinese companies; of my first four dolls, three were from companies in China (Bobobie and Angel of Dream). I've since purchased more dolls and parts from other Chinese companies (ResinSoul, DollZone, MiroDoll), and have a few more planned to purchase.

I believe most of my collection at this point came from South Korea, however, country of origin hasn't been important to me when it comes to dolls. I'm much more interested in the sculpt fitting my vision than the country where it was designed, cast or sold.

    2. I only have Fairyland dolls, but I really like Dollzone dolls and would definitely buy one if the particular doll fit in with a character I had in mind.

    3. I would buy a doll from a Chinese dollmaker as long as I like their sculpt. Currently, the only sculpt I have is a LLT Roderich but I am planning for a Spiritdoll Thuja, Island Doll Odin, Ringdoll Lucifer and a Dikadoll Autumn. Just waiting for other dolls and payments to run through first.

    4. Of course I would ! Some of my favourite companies are chinese, like Dollzone and Doll Chateau (at least I believe they are ?), and I don't have anything against the chinese resin, so they're no reasons for me not to buy chinese dolls !

    5. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?

I do. Actually I don't care much where my dolls are from (except illegal one - I'm really against it!). My first doll and second doll are from Chinese companies (My 2 hybrid bodies too). They are all in good shape and I don't find any different to others. Although I accept that Korean mold look general smoother and more detailed. ;) But body...it's really up to company, not place.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?

I don't have any favorite company for dolls now, not just for Chinese company but also other company too.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?

The quality of resin/joints and the sculpt! ;) If the quality is good but I don't like the sculpt...I won't buy. And also the company service. I don't wish to spend money to a company who isn't serious about selling or ignores buyers.

    6. My first BJD will be from bobobie or resinsoul. They have pretty sculpts:)

    7. My incoming girl is from a Chinese company called Magic Time. I love their sculpts, and I'm flirting with the idea of getting her a friend from the same company. :D

    8. I don't really choose dolls based on what company they're from! But my first doll is from a Chinese company, Dollzone. :)

    9. 1: How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
      - ugh, well most of mine are from cn companies, so yeah, i will.

2: Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
      - doll chateau <3

3: When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
      - the sculpt!

    10. I bought from DollLove before and I would take dolls from my favorites, Ringdoll, Heisejinyao or Loongsoul, any time if I could :wiggle. I also like Dragondoll a lot. Qualitywise, for their sculpts, and originality.

    11. I've really been loving a couple of the RingDoll teenagers ( I think they are called teens') so I would definitely buy from a Chinese company!

    12. Doll Chateau is a Chinese company. I have two DC dolls and the quality and design is very good.

    13. I love Resinsoul! Especially the Mei and Ya she is one of my grail dolls!!!!! So I'd say Resinsoul is my favorite Chinese BJD company

    14. I never really thought the country of origin of a doll was important. I'm all about looks when it comes to choosing dolls. If it looks pretty and I want it then I don't care where it's coming from.

I think its sad that the hobby has created a slight stigma towards Chinese companies.

    15. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?

I have dolls from DollZone (a lot), Ringdoll, LoongSoul, Angell Studio

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?

LoongSoul has the best quality resin - I prefer LS bodies. I guess DZ since I do own 7 of them....

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?

Sculpt, posability, resin quality, price. Most important - does this doll fit my characters/story?

    16. I bought my BJD from Only-Doll, which is Chinese. I just thought he was adorable!

    17. SoreLoser, I think the stigma has gone away over the last year or two.

How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
Right now my collection is about half Korean, half Chinese.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
Granado is my favorite. Impldoll has some interesting new sculpts but I don't own any yet.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
      The sculpt and posing.

    18. I don't have a doll yet, but I'm thinking of purchasing my first doll from a Chinese BJD company. I really like BeYours but I'm not planning on purchasing 1/3 sized-dolls for now so I'm eyeing Angel of Dream for their 1/4 dolls.

    19. All four of my bjds are from Chinese companies actually.

    20. I love my Dollzone Wing, he was my first doll <3
I really love Chinese companies like Dollzone, Granado, Dikadoll and Asleep Eidolon ^^
