It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Will you choose Chinese BJD company?

Jun 23, 2010

    1. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company.
Yes and I have. I think the concern is pretty out dated now.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
The Chinese company I own the most dolls from is Granado. I love them, the service, quality, uniqueness. I also have LLT which is amazing.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
Sculpt, body, and does it inspire me. In general - do I like really like the doll.

    2. My next doll will probably be an IMPLdoll. I wish for a large tan female sculpt with a realistic face and nice posability. The only ones I liked was iple or impl and impl is much cheaper.

    3. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
All except one doll come from a Chinese company.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
Loongsoul is my absolute favorite Chinese company so far.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
I care about the look of the look of the doll first and it's ability to pose second. I like equal parts realistic or unusually shaped dolls.

    4. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
Personally, I don't own any yet but my oldest child owns two.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
It's currently a tie between HZ doll and Loongsoul.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
I care about how the face looks first, the way the body looks second, and how the whole shape of the doll looks in posing (does it have a nice slender line, is it blocky and muscular, or short and chunky?). How I choose is based on what attributes I want my doll to have, and which sculpt fits that best.

    5. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
I will ^^ I have a beautiful head from a Chinese artist (NyxDoll), and will buy a body for said head from a Chinese company... Before I bought that head, I only had Korean dolls.
And then I am seriously planning to buy two other dolls from a Chinese company. I'm in love with a certain sculpt ^^

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
I really like NyxDoll/OrDoll, Miracle Doll, Ringdoll, MaskCat, Doll Leaves... But there are others. I would have dolls from any of these companies... There are so many wonderful Chinese companies today!

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
Sculpt... I never really cared about poseability, I just want to find my doll beautiful ^^

    6. I have four Chinese dolls, and I love them all. It's all about the face and body sculpt, for me! I don't look at where a company is located as much as I look for good reviews of that company's products. It's all one big Earth we live on, and art knows no national borders! I'm thankful for the wonderful doll artists everywhere.

    7. I've bought from a few Chinese companies. Loongsoul, Dollzone and Camellia dynasty are the ones I can think of at the moment this late at night lol

    8. My collection currently represents more Korean companies than Chinese, but I own dolls and doll bodies from two Chinese companies and there are a couple of dolls from Chinese companies on my wishlist. Country of origin does not influence my choice of dolls at all. I choose based solely on the sculpt.

    9. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
Yeah, why not? There are a lot of good chinese cmpanies. I have a doll chateau and a resin soul and a dollzone on their way home^^

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
I really don't know yet XD

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
I think the most important thing to think when buying a doll is if you like the sculpt, no matter the country where the doll come from or the price. Otherwise you won't be happy with doll, because you'll still be thinking on the dreamed doll...

    10. Since my post in 2010, I've accumulated quite a few more resin roommates. While the majority of my collection is now from Korea, I have several Chinese dolls and hybrids. I really think for the most part, the negative stigma attached to Chinese dolls has dried up. There are more higher quality Chinese companies now, and other companies have improved their sculpting and over-all quality (Dollzone comes to mind). From my experience, Loongsoul and Granado are on par with the quality of my other dolls. Dollzone's newer sculpts show more detail and an evolution of style, as well as Impldoll' s newer dolls. Popodoll also has great bodies that pose better then some of my "higher end" dolls. I've seen many Chinese companies really starting to make efforts to compete with more expensive companies, which is great!

As it is, there is at least 1 big company that outsources its casting to China, and many of my Chinese dolls are thicker cast then them, so quality is less of a concern anymore. I do find myself preferring the aesthetics of the Korean companies, but I have found more and more Chinese companies that are producing beautiful dolls. There are still many companies that produce the classic Chinese aesthetic, but for those who want something different there are many good options now.

    11. I have three dolls from Chinese companies. :)
Right now I am completely in love with Doll Leaves! I find they're kinda underappreciated though :sweat
But my overall favorite is Ringdoll. They have great service and really lovely dolls!! Their sculpts are so amazing and their resin is beautiful.

    12. My favorite company, just based on what I've seen, is Doll Chateau, and my first bjd is going to be a Dollzone! The only thing about Chinese bjd companies is that sometimes I think the default faceup isn't as good quality as others, but only sometimes!

    13. So far all my dolls are from Chinese company's and right now my favorite Chinese doll company is probably Angell-Studio (I want a bunch of their dolls)

    14. I think the majority of my dolls are from China, actually. Granado is probably my favorite Chinese BJD company. I've had excellent service from Impldoll as well. They made a custom coloured doll for me. My two Doll Chateau sculpts are great. I have 2 Miracle Doll hybrids which I think are beautiful.

    15. I didn't know Dollzone is Chinese company. I own one of their older anthro dolls. I don't think i have alot of Chinese dolls. I do have these 2 little bunny dolls from a company called Paper-Sakura Group which i believe is Chinese. Also one of my wish doll is Misha from Ringdoll. I have nothing againts legit Chinese BJD companies. I just don't own alot because i haven't find much i wanted.

    16. Chinese company make good dolls, but Im not interesting in any companies of china... I mean, there is no my taste dolls... It's sad :( but I like their clothes or some items!

    17. My favourite companies are chinese, but I didn't knew this when I was admiring on their prettiest creations.

    18. LLT is chinese right? I don't really think the company's nationality defines quality of the products, I think chinese dollmakers are as good as japanese or korean ones. I have heard a lot about LLT but only recently fell in love with one of their sculpt (roderich) after seeing a very dark/edgy face-up on it *o* So no I'm considering getting one too. I wonder if she will ever release the Ludwig tho... is been so long and I haven't seen much news for it. Bur then I guess she works alone so it might be more complicated for her.

    19. Dollzone and Spiritdoll. Love another companies for chip bodies ( Mirodoll, Impldoll ect)

    20. I don't pay attention to where they come from so much - I care that they're beautiful and legit and that the company has a good reputation. That said, I do have a gorgeous ResinSoul Mei who I need to restring and a Camilla Dynasty Wong (the little cat - I think they're also from China?) that's just perfectly adorable.
