It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Jun 23, 2010

    1. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
i already chose a chinese company for my first doll :3 it will be ringdoll *love*

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
ringdoll ftw! <3 the girls are not my type but the boys are teh LOVE

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
if i like the sculpt and if its well made :3 i also decide wether i can come up with a story and character or not.

    2. Most of my dolls are Chinese, I love them all.

    3. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
      In a heartbeat. :)

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
O.O Tons, now. From experience so far, my favorites are Dollzone and Resinsoul. I'm truly amazed time and again by Dollzone (so unique and individualistic), and Resinsoul has the wonderful ability to create charming and beautiful dolls at an accessible cost. I love too many more to name, from observation alone. >.>

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
I have to fall in love with the face first. If I don't fall in love, my interest in expensive dolly is too casual for my comfort~ xD Body is usually next, but whether I'm picky about how it looks varies from doll concept to doll concept (as in I really in particular want a more shapely body for my floating NaNuRi head, but for my next new full dolly, I don't care if it's not :) ). After that I take into account things like customer service, and sometimes cost, given that the lattermost is what jobless me is held back by, lawl. If a company has just horror stories coming from it I usually pocket a doubt for them until I start to see signs of improvement in feedback threads and such.

    4. I dont really care about the company, as long as they have a rather diverse selection of dolls to choose from, instead of just two or three, and the sculpts are aesthetically pleasing to my preferences.

    5. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
Well, it doesn't matter whether it is Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc. as long as I like the sculpts and the quality is good.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
I don't own a doll yet. But my first doll would be from Angell Studio.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
The sculpt and the face-up must be ones which I really like and definately the quality of the sculpts and resin.

    6. I would depending on the company, some of them have beautiful dolls, Heisejinyao has lovely dolls and some of the ring dolls caught my attention.

    7. Why should I care if the company is Chinese? If they have nice-looking dolls and great feedbacks, I will buy from them.

    8. I don't know by heart where all doll companies are located, but I think Domuya, Camillia Dynasty, Fantasy Doll, and Asleep Eidolon are Chinese companies and I have doll parts (1 head and 3 bodies) from those. Looks, quality and price are determining factors when I buy. Country of origin is less important as I'm prone to forget where my dolls come from. :sweat

    9. My first doll was an AOD MSD, and I adore him! Kenji has the sweetest face and a lovely face up, and his body is well made and nicely detailed...my dolls are from China, Korea and my BlueBlood Waltz is from America. I love Ringdoll and B&G dolls! China makes wonderful BJD! The doll's face sculpt and expression are the main factors that make me fall in love with a doll...I like a variety of looks in dolls, from innocent & wistful like Kenji to sexy & haughty like my Luts Senior Delf...I think it's the variety that makes BJD my very favorite kind of dolls...:)

    10. I ordered my first doll from Asleep Eidolon so that counts me in XD I choose by what face I fall in love with. It just so happened AE had that kind of doll XD <3 I saw myself as only regretting not getting her while looking at other dolls so she was the one @~@;

    11. well domuya is actually in singapore ^^, I like angell studio alot, b and g is growing on me so id say those would be my 2 favorite chinese companies. I have one AS and hope to have more and i might get a b and g.

    12. I haven't bought a BJD from a Chinese company yet, but If I decide to buy MSDs I would like to get a few from Dollzone.
As far as which Chinese company's I like, I don't really look too hard at where the company is located, I just look at the dolls xD If I like them I'll buy them. To me the most important part is an attractive head and body sculpt. (Like i tend to like the bodies with more organic looking joints, even if the mobility isn't as good.)

    13. I have 5 Chinese dolls which are from Angel of Dream, Dikadoll, Doll Family, Doll Love and Angel Fatasy. I also have Pado from Dollmore but i think the quality of Chinese dolls are much more better than him.... The pictures of some Chinese companies are now getting better too!

    14. I thought China, because China Post had so much trouble with shipping my package. :sweat

    15. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?

I have hardly even acknowledge the nationality of the companies I buy from. The only reason I even bother to find out is so I know which version of EMS tracking to use to find out where they are. Some of my dolls I simply can't tell you what country they come from.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?

I'm an agent for a number of Doll companies, some of them are Chinese companies, so I probably better not say XD Don't want to look biased!

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?

What they look like. I have to like their faces. Even if they have rubbish bodies, they can be hybrided. I get my dolls based on what face just clicks with me and inspires character creation.

    16. Both mine are (Dollzone Mo and incoming Resinsoul Mei)
And I don't see an issue here... why would it matter if the doll company is Chinese?
I don't understand why that should mater O,o

    17. I just ordered 2 dolls from Oasisdoll, so I have no problems with ordering a doll from a Chinese company, a lot of them are very beautiful ^-^ So far, they are my favorite Chinese doll company.

The most important thing is that I have to like the sculpt. After that, the resin has to be high quality. If I like those two things, it is very likely that I will order. :D

    18. Personally I don't care what country a doll is from. The deciding factor for me is the doll itself, I must completely love it before I consider buying it. Unfortunately for most Chinese companies, their sculpts often don't appeal to me but I do have several Bobobie/Resinsoul tiny elves & a couple of Impldoll MSDs.

Impldoll is probably my favorite Chinese company as I love their resin, weight, quality & especially the way they pose. Eventually I'd like to get their SD size Aaron since I really love his face & face sculpts are what draw me to certain dolls. And I've recently fallen in love with Resinsoul's elf Yun but both will have to wait until I pay off my Limwha Luna.

    19. I could care less what the origin of the company is, all I care about are the sculpts. It's just the correlation of unsightly(IMO!) sculpting and chinese companies seem to be staggering.
However there are exceptions to the rule, as I am deeply in love with Spiritdolls' bodies.

    20. When I'm looking for a doll, there are basically three things I look at:

      - Physical appearance. This is mostly a matter of the face, but if I really dislike a body that might turn me off from buying a doll. I usually look for a doll that suits the mental image I have of a character.
      - Price. At this point in my life, I'm not really willing to spend more than $800 on a single doll, especially if that doll isn't a limited or fullset doll.
      - Company reputation. If a company has all or mostly bad reviews, I'm not going to take the risk of ordering from them.

I usually look at things in that order too, since if a doll doesn't appeal to me I don't see the point in checking the price or researching the company.

Right now, most of my dolls are from Korean companies and one is from an American maker (Blue Blood). I don't consciously limit myself to Korean companies, it's just how things have happened. I am definitely open to buying from a Chinese company in the future, if I find a doll from a Chinese company that fits a character or just grabs me so hard that I just HAVE TO HAVE IT and can come up with the character later.
