It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Will you choose Chinese BJD company?

Jun 23, 2010

    1. Three of my four dolls are by DollZone (Shoyo, Fenyo and Aimi) and I couldn't be happier with them! :)

Actually, the Shoyo sculpt was the first one I ever saw that made me even consider the idea of buying a bjd to begin with. She just looked so cute and happy! <3

For me, the face is what sells me (or doesn't) on a doll.

    2. I'm waiting for a Ringdoll and they're from China and I love their work!

For me, it really isn't about where the doll is from I base my choices not only on the dolls sculpt (head) but also the quality of the body and resin but also the reviews that I read from other buyers about the company. A company could have beautiful dolls but if I see pages of nothing but problems I wont purchase from them... So really, location tends to be the least of my concerns ^_^

    3. I'm a bit apprehensive with chinese doll companies, only because i have a disgression with the quality of the make etc. and materials. Although, they are cheaper, i'd need more convincing before I jump on their boats

    4. I own a doll from DreamRealm- and their are from china.
DR is my favourite company too!
(I have Dolls from Korea,Japan and China)

    5. Actually some of the mainstream companies like DollZone and AoD who do produce in China are holding their own in the market against Korean and Japanese companies where the quality is concerned. Its folly to presume that being Chinese would make it a "cheaper" lternative in quality as well as cost. DollZone is currently more expensive than Custom House and Fairyland - but others like Bobobie and ResinSoul while keeping their quality control up ,their prices will remain low as they continue to remove the overheads paid by others to maintain expensive websites and make-up artists etc...

    6. All my dolls are made by Korean companies (Iplehouse, Soom, Fairyland) and I own one Volks. I personally have found anf scuplts from the Chinese companies that I like so far. But will say that Bobobe (sp?) makes a really nice tan.

    7. First of all, I like how Chinese people look and how Chinese traditional clothes look.
Second, I LOVE Dragondoll's heads and their face-up artist, especially how they paint the brows! Very Chinese!
      So: Yes!
      Fave company so far: Dragondoll!
I have a 70cm Cheng and found the body easy to pose and rather realistic.
I don't understand the willy on a magnet thingy though.
      1. Does he really need 3 of them?
      2. It keeps falling off whenever you change the clothes or as much as move it.:o
But it shows that they are not afraid to try new things, doesn't it?
      Go, Dragondoll!!!
P.S. I really don't look at where the doll is made, I usually find it out later when my EMS code arrives:lol:!

    8. My first big bjd was a Long from Bobobie/Resinsoul. I found him browsing around when I was looking for a detailed body. I fell in love with the head, and my mom with the body :D

I'm waiting for a DZ Ivan, and a DZ Asura. I love that house, their designs are so nice...

    9. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
My first is from Doll-Love a newer Chinese company and my next two I plan on purchasing from LoongSoul...so short answer all of them at the moment.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
Doll- Love and Loonsoul. They're gorgeous dolls and beautifully made.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
Looks. It is my number one issue, it can be crazy cheap, but if I dislike the facial molds I will never buy from a company.

    10. My first bjd was a DZ Wing -- he is awesome! He was such a great first pick, and I definitely fell head over heels into the Doll Hobby after that. I wanted a big doll, and DZ had the best price point for a big guy -- and pointy ears. We have a good number of dolls from China, but also Korea and Japan. I am not really prejudiced in any way about where a doll comes from. I'm just glad we have such great doll artists and fabricators the world over!

    11. Being that I'm new at this, I didn't even realize where I was ordering from (DollZone) was even a Chinese company. I just was attracted the their sculpts, how subtle and, yet, stunning I think they are and I couldn't look away. So, it was only fitting that I'm getting my first doll (a Wing-2) from them. I guess things like this never cross my mind. When it comes to dolls, it shouldn't matter the country they're from, in my opinion. What should matter is how you feel the quality is and if you think the doll is beautiful or fitting for whatever you have in mind. :)

    12. I ordered my first doll from a Korean company, and then my second from a Chinese company. And I ended up loving the Chinese sculpt more! And my third doll is on layaway and she's a DZ. But I think it's just coincidence, really. It doesn't matter where the doll is made, as long as the quality is good, I like the sculpt, and the customer service is good.
I have a feeling I'll be ordering more from DZ in the future and my first DZ doll hasn't even arrived! XD

    13. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
I have! My first doll was a Resin Soul Ju. ^_^ I didn't know she was from a Chinese company, but I loved her as soon as I saw her. There's many other Chinese companies I would also like dolls from, like Dollzone, Angell-Studio, etc.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
Resin Soul, at the moment. I love their MSD sculpts, they have some nifty colors to choose from, and their prices are also nice.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
The sculpt's basic appearance and the reputation of the company are what matter most to me.

At the end of the day though, where my doll comes from doesn't matter, as long as I love them. ^_^

    14. Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
Ringdoll. Ringdoll will always be my favorite company.

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
The sculpt. If it's something I can love, then it's coming home. Where the company is based doesn't really matter to me at all.

    15. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
Um...I have part of one? XD His body is from Loongsoul, but his head is from Migidoll (which I believe is Korean?).

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
      Hm, I'm not sure. Ringdoll, possibly, though I'm really sad that they discontinued Shao. I really liked him. But I don't know where many companies are located since it's not one of the things I pay much attention to when I'm looking at the dolls. XD;;

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
For an individual sculpt, facial features. I'm very, very picky on this, so I don't find myself liking many sculpts. XD;; For bodies, I care much more about posability than anything else, though there are some styles I really don't like. Muscle men are right out, and so are dolls that look near-anorexic.

    16. Both of my dolls are from Chinese companies. I really happen to like Chinese companies because a) I like a lot of the sculpts and b) they are the most affordable. I feel that the craftsmanship isn't any less (although they might not have "fancy" joints like other companies) and the resin is good quality.

    17. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
I have two dolls from Dollzone and I love them both :aheartbea

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
Dollzone, but I also love Ringdoll and Asleep Eidolon

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
The shape of the face is the most important, but the sculpt is also important for me.

    18. How many of you will take dolls from Chinese BJD company?
I have six dolls from Chinese companies. three from Bobobie, and three from Resinsoul. I love Chinese companies, their dolls are good quality for a good price.

Which Chinese BJD company you love most?
      Bobobie, I just love them!

When you decide to take a doll, what's the point you care most?
The sculpt is what I always look at. I can't help but love a cute face.

    19. I got a Ringdoll En,
      I actually love Ringdoll's sculpts
Compared with other chinese bjd brands, I think Ringdoll has the prettiest faces, but that's just my opinion =D

    20. Between us, my girlfriend and I have three Dollzone dolls, and one Angell Studio, plus others, but they aren't from a China-based company. I don't care where a BJD company is based, really. I just go with what I like, sculpt-wise.
