1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Will you sell your doll to me?

Jan 25, 2010

    1. :aeyepop: I just can't get over some of these encounters that people have had! Has society in general really become so materialistic in their thinking that they actually believe that saying that "everything has a price"?!

I've never had anyone ask me to sell or give them Lue, he's mostly the only one of my dolls that travels with me. Of course it probably helps that he is usually either in my backpack or in one of his carrying cases. He rarely comes out except at convention doll meets, and occasionally to go shopping in the dealer's room if it's not too crowded, like on Sunday when a lot of people are busy checking out of their rooms.

It probably also helps that he is an old Volks MSD Kohaku, which seems to have never been a really popular sculpt, even when the more anime styled dolls were the norm. Maybe because the sculpt isn't full on anime style, like the Dollfie Dreams are, or like the anime BJD sculpts that Luts offers. Lol, and it's probably the least realistic looking of the old MSD sculpts that Volks used to offer. So I guess Lue and I are kind of lucky in a way, and we don't really have to worry about anyone coming up and trying to buy him on the spot, or even just making grabby hands at him. ^_~
