    1. Botflybaby, Withdoll did offer the body right back at the start of the SWD launch, but sadly I seem to recall they said that would be the only time. They don't do the mini's bods separately, so that seems to be in line with there general sales pattern. I believe the normal skin is leaning toward the yellow side, but have only seen it briefly so can't give you a firm call on that.

    2. thanks! im really tempted to just buy vera since she's on sale to get the body. i only have like 3 days to decide and i only just discovered this body today, gah! i want to use the body for my elfdoll sooah head. i have no idea if it will work though. from what i've seen these withdoll bodies pose very well, and i'm picky about elbows and these have nice elbow joints. another big plus is the position of the torso joint, its lower on the body instead of being at the breast like just about every girl body these days, which means i could actually sand the breasts off without leaving a weird shape at the joint... i think i'll have to sleep on it tonight and decide if i'm going to take these leap or not in the morning. i wanted a fairyland feeple60 boy body originally, but they are like impossible to get. its even almost impossible to get a regular feeple60 girl body, they are all moeline now.

      anyone know how long withdoll takes to ship a doll after ordering? i'd just be getting it blank with no outfit or accessories.

I need to order that Vera soon... my doll finances aren't very good at the moment and I also need to buy a body for another doll of mine.. but I think I can swing it with the longest possible layaway. Which means I won't see her before late summer... oh well. I already have a face up planned for her and everything.
      Edit/ Aaand she's ordered.

      They won't sell the SWD bodies separately, but the mini bodies are available as are all basic mini heads. The SWD releases should all be limited runs. The plus side is that they'll always be available in special skin tones when they're sold.

      I'd say a general rule is 3 months. Less if they're not as busy and more if you order a darker skin tone, painting and/or extras.

      Withdoll's normal skin is kind of a dark orangey tone. It has quite a bit of red pigment in it and I think it might be somewhat close to Souldoll and some batches of Soom normal skins. Though I don't own those two so I'm only deducting from what I've seen. You can see a normal skin comparison here.

    4. thank you yenna! i ended up buying vera and i hope i can blush the head i have to match the body. i hope that as long as its darker than the head i have right now then it can be blushed. i've seen pictures on flickr of withdoll compared to fairyland resin in 2015 and it looks very similar, just a bit pinker. (not my pic) comparison fairyland withdoll

      Buzzibee, Your Adriana is lovely! I really like that wig, it goes so nicely with her tanned skin. :aheartbea

      Here's a photo of my Adriana from a few weeks back. I'm so pleased with the poseability of this body, with the mini girls it was such a pain to get them to stand gracefully because of the locks at the top of the thighs and the kicky knees. The SWD body is pretty effortless to pose, I think. ^^

      Apate also got new clothes from Yenna, a replica of the uniform that she had back when I had her in 1/4 scale. :D I need to find time to redo her face up and take some better photos of her.

    8. Did you guys notice that Withdoll extended the order period for Vera for another week?

      Now that there's extra time to order her, I'd like to show you a different styling for the Light Vera:

      She's grey skin with a face up by me. :3 The sculpt is absolutely gorgeous. I love her long ears and the fact that the middle of her mouth is actually slightly open: it's super cute! I will be getting her a wig and eyes of her own -and posting some wig testing photos to my blog soon. Unfortunately, though, I mostly have brown wigs in SD size and those don't suit her much, but at least the styles can be looked at.

      In addition to having to buy this girl eyes and wig, I also need to get the same things for my pale brown Dark Vera when she arrives (in summer). I need names for both of them, too. Phew.

Can I ask if her ears feel very fragile? They look even cuter in your photos but I'm a little concerned about accidentally breaking :sweat

      Thank you C: The ears are definitely pointy, but they feel very sturdy to me. Unless you drop the head on the ear (or she falls on it on a hard surface), I don't think there's much danger of it breaking. I wouldn't worry when normally handling the doll, they're not so fragile that you'd need to take special care because of them. In my opinion anyway.

    12. @Yenna Ah, thank you! I'd heard somewhere that the Withdoll resin was a little brittle, but others seem to be very happy with the resin, but I guess I'll find out when I handle my girl ^^
      Love the fact that her mouth is a little bit open, I did not see that from the blank sculpt pictures on their site, it's great as I like slightly open mouths (not surprising since my fav sculpt is IH Soo xD)

    13. @Rivon I don't know about the UV resins, but the urethanes are certainly not brittle. I find them to be one of the sturdiest resin types I've handled. They're made with care and have no discoloration or airbubbles. Withdoll resin is also quite hefty in my opinion. I know my a-line mnf girl was muuuuch lighter than the same size wd girl I had at the same time (and she was an older mnf, I think the new ones are even lighter and thinner).

    14. @Yenna Well that sounds good for the non UV, so I hope there isn't that much difference, I checked withdoll's own pictures of UV vs non uv when it comes to colour, and that at least didn't look too different. But I'll have dolls from three other companies to compare quality with when she gets here :)

    15. @Rivon If you want to know more about the difference between UV and urethane, you might want to check out the first question in this FAQ. And this reference post. There's definitely a difference in the surface (and colour, you can see links to comparisons in the FAQ as well), but I've never owned big enough pieces of the UV to say if there's difference in durability.

    17. Yenna your Vera is so lovely. I adore the grey skin too. I had decided no more dolls for me, but gah! seeing her and knowing that they have extended the sales period I think I will be bringing home my own Vera. I just need to decide whether to go for pale brown or grey skin tone

    19. The circumference is okay, but most of my 8-9"s are too deep. The wig can't be pulled over her ears because of the obvious, so there's empty space left at the top of the head.

      Thank you. You should definitely consider her, she's such a lovely sculpt. :3

      I was really set on making my Soom SG lady a lovely accurate Victorian gown (been planning it for yeas, but I just now finally decided on the fabrics), but now that I got the Vera head and styled her in light colours, I think I might make it for her instead. :3 My SG wouldn't be able to go all accurate anyway because she just needs to show some skin, so it might be better for this Vera because of that too... Ohh, I have so many plans, but I first need to get some commissions out of the way. I want to work on it already..!
