1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

WITHdoll Mini Discussion Part 8

Apr 8, 2016

    1. It is very subtle. I missed it too and got very frustrated the first time I ordered. It's a little terrifying to just throw money out in the void and hope they get it to the right order! Glad you got it figured out :)

    7. Hi guys, do you know more or less the waiting time from withdoll? I'm planning to get ian and maybe a priscilla if I can't find them second hand in the next months :)

    8. I think it's generally 3-4 months depending a little on what you order, when and in what colour. You won't find an Ian from the second hand market yet, though, since he was just released and none have been shipped out yet by the company. :3

    9. Thank you ~ yup I know about ian but I think I'll order him during the winter event
So I might be lucky until then :D

    10. My Ruby elf girl :">
Unfortunately she's with a new owner now but I still like her a lot XD

    11. Ah wow, everyone's dolls are so cute! I have two questions for any withdoll owners out there:

1: Has anyone tried to hybrid one of their male sculpts on one of their female bodies? The measurements list the female MSD body having 6.5 cm neck diameter and the male body as having a 7.2 cm neck diameter but they don't seem to have measurements for the neck hole on any of their heads *_* It's probably fair to assume that the heads are just made to fit whichever body they are intended to be on and that I would need to mod something (or at least get a neck donut) for this to work, but I'd love to know if anyone has any experience with this!

2: Anyone have any Tarens they want to show off? He's the sculpt I'm most in love with :D

EDIT: this post from the one of the previous discussion threads says that WD themselves said that Taren can fit on the female body, but the posted image is broken :( any chance somebody has that picture saved somewhere/has a working image link?

    12. It really depends on the head. Some of the male heads are as small as the bigger female heads, while others are really huge. I have a photo of Taren on the female body in our WD blog here. Honestly, I think he's very bobble-headed, but then again some of the girl heads are so big that even they are that way. How you like it will depend on your preferences. Taren's head isn't much bigger than for example Priscilla's but his face is wider, so the head looks bigger on the body. The mobility and the head sizes vary, but generally girl heads don't work well on the boy body without modding because the neck is too wide, Boy heads work better on the thinner neck but sometimes they have issues too and need modding.

I'd post my boy, but I don't think I have any photos I haven't posted to the discussions yet, and my friend currently has him as a sewing model, so I can't take new ones. :P My blog has a number of pictures of thim, though.

    13. @Yenna Those pictures are a huge help, thank you! Hmmm...that combo IS a bit bobble-headed, but I think I would rather go with this body swap and have doll with a bigger looking head and resin that matches than go through the trouble of hybriding. I'd rather have a bobble-ish doll than a potentially pin-headed one :sweat

I've seen some of your photo galleries of Min Ki! He's so well dressed (and well accessorized!) and he looks so cute with Mi Cha <3 I love that snowy winter photoshoot you and your friend did especially!

Also: Does anyone in this thread own a Unoa mini and would be able to post side by side pictures with some of the WD sculpts? The main reason I'm looking at this company is to find a doll to pair with my Sist.

    14. @dollmien - Here is my Unoa Sist with Egon Elf and Priscilla:

I do have three more sculpts (Angela elf, Ruby elf, and Emma) so if you'd like to see one of these in particular, let me know. Angela's face is small, more like Priscilla's, while Ruby's face is larger, almost like Egon's.

    15. @vermont chick Thank you! I really love that height difference they have :D I'd love to see her and Emma together whenever you get a chance <3

(Those see-through glitter heels on your Priscilla are incredible by the way)

    16. @dollmien - Your wish is my command. Here are Sist and Emma.

The see-through heels are from WithDoll. They're shown under the heading "Others". WithDoll calls them silver, but they are clear resin with glitter in it. What's funny is the glitter heels are so loose on Emma that they fall off, while they are a perfect fit on Priscilla. My Emma is only very slightly older than Priscilla, probably less than one year, so I don't know what accounts for the difference in foot size.

    17. @vermont chick Thank you so much <3 Huh, I hadn't looked under their "other" section...interesting that they would throw a random wig in with a bunch of resin shoes :XD: Their pumps are all super cute and I love the actual attachable shoe parts too though, I don't think I've seen another company do that! Interesting that they wouldn't fit the same foot mold produced a year later though *_*

    18. You never know what else a company offers, so I always look at all the subject headings.:) I've found some fun surprises that way.

I suspect the foot size might differ slightly from one casting to another if the company has to make new molds. Molds do wear out with repeated use, although I've heard that they get smaller in later versions, not larger. So, yeah, I don't know why my newer Priscilla has a slightly bigger foot.

Iplehouse recently introduced high heel pumps for their FID size that are even stranger. They come with a pair of feet that have no toes. How weird is that? I mean, why not make shoes that fit the existing feet?
