@vermont chick Thank you for the info. I'm looking to hybrid a normal skin Volks head. And Volks normal skin starts out on the beige/yellow tone side.

 

I took my Emma to a small park near my work recently, I thought she looked super cute.




I'm trying to practice photography so I've been taking her out a lot recently!

 

I feel like I've been neglecting my poor Valencia, but she did at least get to go out to a doll meet a little while ago. She towers over all my tiny dolls

Ive been pretty inactive with my dolls over the summer (100 degree F days tends to kill the desire to go out and take photos) But the weather here is getting nicer and soon I should be able to have a dedicated art room to set up indoor shoots for my dolls ovo

And do crafts. My ws and ruv Emmas need animal ears and tails made for them and my elf Emma and Egon are going to be getting demon horns and tails. Will definitly post pics once I take more.

And @Epona sorry if this is a super late reply to your head size question but the difference between male and female dolls varies by sculpt. My partner and I have owned Aiden, Mai, Emma, Egon, and Rosa and they all have similar sized heads (Emma and Aiden can even swap headcaps. Also Rosa has giant eyes comparatively so it makes her look slightly bigger when she isnt) But from what I have seen in photos some of the older sculpts had larger headed males and smaller headed females. Ive never seen them in person but the photos Ive seen of Fenrir seem to have larger heads. And Pricilla or Cynthia seemed to have small heads in some photos Ive seen too.

Soo, long story short, I bought this doll just before finding out I would move to Japan. Due to space restrictions I left her back in Canada uncompleted for almost two years. After visiting home this year, I brought her back with me, and now that she's not eyeless/hairless/terrifying my boyfriend any longer, I'd like to introduce Rosemary to the forum

Yes, she is! Her faceup was done by RuggedRealism back in 2015

 

Hey everyone! It's been awhile. I was wondering... is Withdoll's Real Skin-UV only offered occasionally? I know some of their skin tones are 'special' (like grey, brown tan), but I could swear I've seen it offered alongside their normal, rose white, cream white, and white skins without any special event...? I was considering on getting a Withdoll Aiden and making him a brother to my Withdoll Angela, but I wonder if it'd be better if I was to hold off on it so I could get him in real skin or maybe brown tan.

I could have sworn it was standard, but it looks like maybe it's not/not currently. I will say it's a lovely color that's worth holding out for, and would suggest asking about it on their Q&A board.

 

I want to ask on their Q&A board but I always seem to have a hard time viewing it? Like I'll be logged in, but it always acts like I'm logged out whenever they reply to me, so I can never view it. And it does look really nice - I am kind of surprised I don't see it around more!

 

That's very strange. I might try taking a look myself when I get home... Since I don't always trust the phone to load doll sites properly.

And you're right, it really should be around more! I honestly debated so much on ordering Jace in RUV, and even after ordering I kept second guessing, but I'm so glad I went for it because he looks fantastic.

 

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but does Withdoll usually put on any kind of winter sale/event?

 

I think sometimes during winter, they release/rerelease some Limiteds and typically there is a small discount (eg a female mini being 250 or so instead of 280)? Don't quote me on it, though. XD;

 

Does anyone here have a Withdoll Angela?
If so, does anyone else have issues putting eyes in her?
I swear every time I do so, it always looks like the eyes are glancing/tilting downwards slightly; I feel like at this rate, it's probably related to her eyesockets...? I guess I could use silicone eyes but I don't really want any, so I'll just deal, but I I'll probably try to finagle with it some more... I don't really have this issue with my other dolls, though. I'm using 12mm low domes, so that's not the issue, but it seems like the only time I don't get this issue is with 10mm eyes, but they're a bit too small for her anyways, I think. (but passable, imo)

 

@Epona - My Angela had trouble with one pair of eyes where no matter what I did one eye glanced up and the other eye straight ahead, but her current pair of eyes, which I believe are 12mm low domes, seem to be working fine. Priscilla is the sculpt whose eyes gave me fits. Every pair I tried made her stare like a deer in the headlights. I finally gave up and put a Raccoon Doll elf head on her body instead.

 

I used to have one and never had bigger problems with low dome eyes. But the eyes do leave slight gaps on the bottom area of the sockets if you force the irises under the upper lids a bit. But this happens with pretty much any doll I own, low or high dome eyes -silicone ones too because no putty is strong enough to squish the dome flat. This is her with 12mm (I think) ED eyes:

 

I recently got an Ash the Elf Hunter head to be my Dragon Age: Inquisition character. He just got home from his faceup Now I'm waiting on a set of formal wear from the game that I've commissioned, and I need to paint his hand and make a staff for him.

 

He look fantastic, @solitary agent! May I ask who you commissioned for his faceup?

I've been close to getting an Ash sculpt, myself. His pout is perfect, and those elf ears are . If only I had more money, heh.
