WITHdoll Mini Discussion Part 8

I have a secondhand Withdoll Nana, and one of her wrist magnets seems to be in backwards so neither of her left hands will stay put. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm really not sure how to get the magnet out...

 

@nocchios You can try freezing the wrist part and trying to pull it out with another magnet (but you need a fairly big one) until the glue gives out. Or, you could message Withdoll and ask for new wrist balls. Just make sure to explain the situation and say what type they are (new ones have a locking mechanism when you twist them, old ones don't).

 

I'm at least the fourth owner for this doll, and she's in a limited color resin. I also don't have a COA (owner #1 lost it, so I only have the box now). Would Withdoll still be able to help me?

 

@nocchios It never hurts to ask. You might want to provide a photo that you actually have the doll when you send them a message though.
(But how has it had 3 previous owners and nobody has noticed this? Or did one of the previous ones glue it back wrong?)

 

I bought the doll from owner #3, who suspected the issue but hadn't confirmed it. Owner #2('s cat) apparently caused most of the damage to her, so it's possible the magnet was incorrectly repaired at that point. I'll definitely reach out to Withdoll and see if they could help.

 

Poopy iphone 5s pictures but Rosemary now has an identical outfit to me and the urge to take self-indulgent twin photos is strong (even though my haircolor totally doesnt suit her almost-white brows)​

Does anyone have a DF-H Nan Xing or Yue Jian they can photograph next to a Withdoll? I am needing a custom color head and am trying to find a head that's about the same size as a Withdoll head, so my Withdoll girlie doesn't have a bulbous-headed boyfriend. Thus, I am restricted to companies that could possible custom color such as Resinsoul (most heads are too big...considering a Tang). I have heard DF-H will custom color, but they have not replied to my inquiries yet.

Photos of Resinsoul Ian and Tang compared to a Withdoll head would also be a help.

Sorry, I dont have a DF head to compare with my Withdolls, but I would suggest trying to steer clear of any heads that require a 7/8" wig, as all the Withdolls my partner and I have owned (Mai, Emma, Aiden, Rosa, Egon) all take 6/7" wigs and look small headed next to 7/8" heads.

Not sure if any of the companies on the list do custom colors but @Musume has a list of Mature msds that could be a good place to look for your new boy.

It makes a very long time since he last time I posted here ... Well I have to say that it makes a long time I hadn't taken picture of my Withdoll boy ...
But today I decided to have fun with him, and to change a little his custo to make him cosplaying Saeran Choi, one of the characters of the otome game Mystic Messenger, as he appears in his route.

Seems a elf Ian is coming out!
Kind of hoping the other elves, like Emma, will be rereleased with him - I want an Emma so bad!

 

Elf Ian is interesting looking. It doesn't mention a choice of face-ups, but the lip treatment is different in the two faced-up photos. One is kind of sneery. Wish I had money. Oh well, maybe the next time they release him.

 

It seems there is two different sculpts. They showed unpainted versions and one still had the sneer. I assume once he is released you may be able to chose which head you want?

 

There should be a lot more to the listing than they are showing. I assume this is just a teaser.

 

Probably -- I am sure they are working on the details right now... but if you can get people to talk, talk drums up interest, lol.
I am disappointed that for their last few limited they haven't been offering their UV colors.. and I think most of them also haven't had any of the darker colors (tan, grey, etc) for awhile now... I wonder why? I hope they didn't discontinue them. I really wanted to get an Aiden in either real uv or brown tan or something.
