Congrats! Its nice to see some of the elves starting to arrive. I have an Elf Emma on order but she is in Brown Tan UV so she might still take awhile if my BTUV Elf Egon order is anything to judge by. He took a few extra weeks past the normal skin orders that were ordered at the same time.

I can't wait to see her with a faceup. There are so few Rubys floating around, t is hard to find good faceup photos of them.

How do you like the fit of the tights? I've been thinking about doing an order from FeerieDollAtelier but I have been a bit nervous since the WD girls are so slim Ive had a few pairs of tights off of ebay come in too loose for them.

 

@hannaliten, congrats! She is pretty even without a face-up. And cute outfit. Her stockings are just lovely!
I also ordered elf ruby and I can´t wait for mine to be shipped!

Oh yes, I already have a BTUV Egon from the first Elf Egon run and I adore the color

I don't really have any photos to show of my Egon because after they arrived and I saw how large Egon's eyes are compared to other Withdoll's I decided I want them to be a girl. So once my Elf Emma comes in the two will be swapping bodies and be siblings ovo

 

I'm really interested in getting a a scarecrow Cathy. But here's the thing I'm not interested in Cathy's head at all. I just want everything else plus the pumpkin head. What are the chances that I can get them to agree to a slight change to full set?

I messaged them already but they aren't the quickest replyer so I thought I get some opinion.

 

I think the easiest option is to take the entire package and sell the Cathy head when it arrives.

 

I'm guessing the problem with just getting the fullset and selling the head is that she wants the scarecrow default faceup, just on a different head. So that's trickier.

 

Ah, I didn't get that from what she posted but it makes sense. Whether they'll do it or not...you never know until you ask.

 

I was referring to not getting the head at all but. I guess it's best to just sell the head?

 

I had asked something a bit similar (but with switching heads) and they told me no because these are their characters and changing them would change that. A bit silly, but it makes sense. So I agree with what the others have said. Buy the fullset then split the head.

Can anyone get the skin comparison page to load on the withdoll page? I keep getting an error message. I would love to see it.

She is fierce! I'm so tempted to add gray skinned people into my story just so I can add a grey skinned doll into my collection. Maybe I will just because they look so cool.

Here you are. Saved them to my Photobucket so you could see them. Note that they do not offer all of these colors anymore. The regular Brown Tan for sure is no longer available but Brown Tan UV is. I THINK regular Rosybrown and Grey might not be available either but I have not really paid much attention. They went to offering just Brown Tan UV and not regular Brown Tan because the UV batches were more consistent and produced less wasted casts..

 

Thank you so much! I will save these photos too! Yeah. I think they save some of the colors for limited editions. I saw rosy brown on the last elf release I think. But this is so helpful. Thank you thank you!!!

Yeah, they occasionally do special skin events for all their dolls but most of the time they only release them on event dolls. It is a bit of a shame because of how beautiful their special skins are, but I understand why they wouldn't want to offer them all of the time. It is easier to mix and match parts between bodies to get the most consistent resin match if you have several dolls to work with as opposed to if only 1 person within several months orders a specific skin tone so they have to just hope for the best that one cast will come out an even enough color all over.

 

They do indeed, from Withdoll I have gray, UV-gray and expect rosy brown that i consider as dark-grayish... Im not sure if its the end

 

So could anyone who owns a Cathy show me what 10mm and 12mm eyes look like in her head? Thinking about adding a Cathy to my collection sometime and would like to know if I need to plan to buy her eyes or if the 12mms I have will be good enough.

Like... My Emmas have taken 12mms for the longest time but the iris looks pretty large and you dont see much of the sclera. But trying 10mms in them looks gorgeous. But my partner's Aiden cant seem to take the 10mms we have without gapping weirdly.

 

@Alaia I've got a Cathy. :3 She's probably the biggest girl head in size and she's got relatively big eyes too - definitely bigger than Emma does (I had Elf Emma for a while so I've seen both dolls in person). Personally I wouldn't put anything smaller than 12mm in her. Actually, in the beginning I had 12mm Mako eyes in her, but to me even those made her look starey, as Mako eyes have slightly smaller irises than most of the other brands of eyes that I've had. I wanted my girl to have a more cutesy look, so now she wears 12mm Enchanted Doll eyes and I'm much happier with her.
