worst part of the sculpt?

It's a personal preference not so much something I hate, but I prefer knees that make a "U" shape instead of an "n" shape.
I also dislike volks tiny sd10 hands, I wish they made them a little differently since it looks very unproportional with their (9-10 inch?) heads.
I also think 43cm Narae's have an unatural right hand /:
However, when an owner drifts the attention away from these small things, the dolls are amazing

 

I have a few things that my dolls do that are frustrating~

Akando - His butt flaps, they bug me. D: I have to pull them out to get him to sit for me, and while I'm getting better at it, if those things slide out of place he comes crashing down. I also wished his head would move a bit more up and down, but with his thick neck I guess it's not possible. also it's almost impossible to put eyes in his head without the S hook stabbing your finger. After a few pokes, I finally got tired of it and took his head off.

Roda - Her knees, they have a mind of their own. They like to twirl around and everything. My Roda also has a bar instead of an s-hook and IT FREAKS ME OUT SO MUCH. It works like it should, but I just feel like it's only a matter of time that it falls through into her body. ;;

Lati Yellows - Kicky little things. Also, to get them to sit, since their head is bigger then their bodies, I have to lean their head forward or they don't sit for me. Not the end of the world, but it limits their posing.

I still love them~~ even with their issues.. xD

 

I think the eyes... Around the eye sockets, the resin when it is cut is kinda thick and it make the eyes look like they are set too far back in the head. I'm sure this could be cured with bevelling (?) I'm not sure if that is what it is called. Doll makers take a tool that looks like a stick with a ball on the end and smooth away some of the material so the eye fits (they thin the resin around the eyes from the inside). I'm not a doll maker, so I'm too lazy (and not skilled enough) to perform this task on the dolls I have. It does kinda bug me though. The female hands and necks are another thing. I think although they might be proportionate, some times they look huge. I notice supia uses neclaces and high collars in most of their photos (only after someone on DOA made a comment about the giant necks they have). I love the Supia mold and the neck won't stop me from getting one, but "big neck".

 

I've noticed that a lot of Souldoll sculpts have lopsided and/or uneven facial features.

 

@dollutional :: It is sooo true Supia's have thicker necks then normal SD girls. I order a necklace from Dollmore, not thinking, and when it came it didn't fit around my Roda's neck. I was..not expecting that to happen at all.

 

On my DOT Homme Ducan, I do NOT like his ankles, they look swollen!! That was the first thing I noticed when I opened him up. Everytime I change his clothes I am haunted by those swollen ankle appearance...
On Aki, my AoD Chi, I find nothing wrong with him. He's perfect. in every way.

I agree with you. My Crobi Nia's torso is the worst. I don't know why they bothered making it jointed, it doesnt hold any pose at all. -_-

And my Dollshe has the ugliest bum ever. It kinda looks like it's melting off! XD
...actually everything on Dollshe boys from the waist down is a nightmare. Stick out "bits", horrid knees, short legs, ugly turny feet. *shivers*

A my DZ boy has ugly hands and arms. They're WAY too bulky and unnatural. -_-


I wish my boys could all have Dollshe torsos and DZ legs. XD

 

I love my Mecha Angels, but -dang- they have some flamingo necks going on, (especially the guys). That'd be the one thing that has really made me go, "Hmm... " about them. I know this has absolutely nothing to do with the (vast) number of times Deneb has headbutted me, but I still keep threatening to dye her pink and stand her on one leg when it happens. (Alas, being that she is resin, the threats, they do no good, and I have a Deneb-head-shaped red mark on my forehead every time I change her.)

I also constantly want to squish my Isabel's head. Know how if you would squish a Barbie head at the sides, she'd go all fishface? I want to do that just a pinch with Isabel every time I see her, since her head is more the rounded, inverted triangle shape than the more balanced oval shape that all the other heads on everyone else on the shelf are, and it drives me buggy only when I see them all together.

Chiron's hands... are big. I know they're probably to scale with the body more than most, but still, they just look enormous to me.

This is a more adult one, and I don't know if it's something I've seen on my girls or just in photos (and I'm not checking under their skirts to find out), but... some of the 'female bits' I've seen trouble me slightly. I'm fine with the simple little |-shaped crease, but some have a more Y-shaped crease with those extra divots across the top, and... ...it always ends up reminding me of a rump on backward since I've never seen that Y look on an actual person, even after many horrifying years in figure drawing classes.

I love Jillian to pieces. But her Volks old F08 alien head is SO big... some wigs don't fit her, and it's tricky to place the eyes so they don't look crooked. o_O'

 

Huge hands and feet. I hate when you get a doll and their hands are so big they cannot fit in any sleeves or their feet do not fit in the standard SD shoes.

 

My 60cm DZ boy's got a quirk that I both absolutely love and find a little irksome ...

His butt. It's a right ghetto booty. It's cute as all hell and makes for some solid sitting/help with posing ... but I'll be damned if I can button his pants up. It's a good thing he wears long shirts, cos that snap ain't snappin' anytime soon.

 

My Kaelin's face is quite asymmetrical, and from certain angles, the uneveness of his eyes is really visible. Same with my Littlefee Shiwoo; his eyewell shape is so awkward, he looks O.O'd easily.

I hate the stringing system my old DoC Zen uses; removing his head is always a battle.

But damn, I love them anyway.

 

It's not a problem as such, they can be just very annoying. I am forever moving them back around to face the right way, although I'm a little unsure which way around they should be xD

Don't let them put you off getting a Delf body, the rest is great, the flaps can just be a harmless annoyance

 

I've noticed that a lot of BJDs have four packs >.<
And my 60cm AOD has a pointy nose that looks alright from an upward or straight-on angle.

the ears that my kiddelf ani has 0.0 they seem way too big, they're always covered by a wigbecause they look very silly. XD I still love her though. the elbows do indeed look weird, but I always cover those up anyway.
