worst part of the sculpt?

Ehehe, my IH Tatiana has the mobility body, and I hatehatehate the thigh joints. I thought they were defective at first, but it turns out they're just really badly made That said, she can do some amazing things so I try to pretend I can't see them and just enjoy the awesome posability she has

My AS Vera has such a beaky nose - I hated it at first and wanted to get it modded to be rounder, but gradually I've come to love it somewhat

My PW Viyol has the most mahoosive forehead ever It's like they squooshed her face all down at the bottom She has to have a wig with a fringe, becase otherwise she just looks like some freaky alien or something Her face-mould is beautiful, but the forehead is just I love her so much though

I do see faults in a lot of dolls, but I find them endearing even if they do sometimes annoy me - people have defects too, so it's nice to see that even dolls aren't 100% flawless

 

right now my biggest pet peeve is the hands on BBB March, and my old DoC Too, both are strung the same way and though they can rotate the wrist really can't bend. One day I will mod them. March also has jazz hands from hell, and though I have modded hands before by heating them hers are remarkably resistent, and never soften for me, so I can't reposition them

Oh and I just got a Domuya Perenniel Faith, stunning girl, but her headcap c=flies off for no reason, as does my Bee A's. No other doll I own has ever done this

 

I really love my two boys' sculpts, the only problem I have is that the eyes aren't quite symmetrical so it makes eye positioning difficult..as the eyes have to be different in each socket to make up for it. I think it gives them character, though

 

My darling Mai is on a Dreaming Doll body, and while I adore the actual sculpt of the entire thing, I can't believe how limited the posability is in both his wrists and especially his legs. His wrists I can forgive since it just takes a little tweaking to make them work, but his legs? He can really only stand one way and when he sits? Yeah...as soon as I'm into some mroe funds he's off to my customizer to get those things fixed.

Prince, my Angell Studio Gus-wow, this boy took alot of work! He had such a straight, huge triangle shaped nose. Yup, got that sanded down and now he looks adorable. His eyes were also much too huge. Got those modded to be smaller too (I only wish I'd gotten them just a tiny bit smaller before I'd gotten his face-up). And lastly his lips (haha, I swear I do love this boy, he just needed a bit of work), I can't do much to change them and I do think their shape is adorable, I just wish they were a little bit bigger. I also have a love/hate relationship with his hands. They're not very detailed and the fingers are SO widely spready it makes difficulty in dressing him. However, I love they're curved shape since it makes it so easy for him to hold his toys and things all by himself which is just so cute.

 

My Angell-studio Cain's hands and wrists...I HATE them. I love his face and his body, but those hands I think I will probably sell him and get a different doll, since I don't know of another company's hands that will match his resin.

 

This is both excellent, yet drives me nuts.

Adelheid (a Soulkid), has beautiful feet. However, she stands really poorly.

Jane (a KidDelf) stands very very well, but her feet are literally, flat. I guess this is a case of where cake can be had but not eaten.

I don't like how there are no double joints on the knees on Jane. However, she's still adorable and I love her to death!

 

Tenshi nipples really make me mad xD
they are like death circles and look nothing like natural xD

bleh. I tend to keep those suckers covered for Tenshi xD

 

I just wish my boys had the mobility thighs, so I wouldn't have to pretty much dislocate their legs in posing with their knees up.

 

One of my Io's eyes is slightly, ever so slightly, larger than the other. O__o;;; Also the fact that his brow ridge is just "bam, there!!" it makes it difficult for archy eyebrows----these shall be fixed!! xD

My Wintery head on the other hand, has no brow ridge---and it looks kinda unnatural!! xD;;;

I just can't be pleased in that aspect it seems. -w-

 

I won't say the sculpt name here, but the nose, oh the nose...
If I like a scupt or not usually depends heavily on the nsoe ^^ if the nose is too pointy or too narrow, I have to say no, as lovely as the rest of the face might be.
I like a nice, cute profile ^^

 

I do think it depends on the doll model and company. I have seen some legs that were to long and skinny compared to the feet. Or arms that are way to skinny and hands that in my opinion are to big for such skinny arms.

Ok, it goes without saying that I love my boys. Now, time for the grieving!

I have a Delf Yder with the type 3 body.. now, while I LOVE LOVE LOVE the joints, and fully intend on buying another one for another character of mine, I really, really hate that his back is arched like it is. Peoples is not shaped that way! I also wish he had a rib joint instead of a waist one. that would be awesome.

Ok, 1 - Hands and feet; I've since replaced his hands, but his feet, I agree with the swollen ankles comment. I hate his feet so much. I really really hate his feet. And the ankles give me constant trouble getting him to stand, even after they've been sueded.
2 - Ears; Dumbo ears! I've since gently heat-shaped these to more elven looking ears, but for a long time he could not wear a fur wig because he looked all 'DERP'.
3 - Bitey joints; I swear, this boy has given me more blood blisters than I care to mention.
4 - VERY. DEEP. EYE SOCKETS; I've taken a sander to them several times but they're just soooo thick. Putting on eyelashes is such a pain.

However, most of these have given me excuses to work on him and make him perfect and mine.. so I'm not complaining.

Edit: Glati. The weight of his horns makes him hard to stand with them, and the way his little hooves work make it impossible to keep much blushing on them without constant chippage. BUT I LOVE HIM AND YOU CAN'T HAS HIM! XD

 

i love my heliot. i think hes a gorgeous sculpt. but if i had to pick something as the worst part it would be his upper lip. it doesn't have that indent , someone modded theirs to have it and such a small difference made me think the doll was even more beautiful. so some day i may have mine modded as well =]

 

My AoD Carter is great....I really have few complaints for him...his default face-up was...horrible but easily fixed....he is strung tight but he stands like a ROCK....only thing I can think of is....the head tilt....which I know from other owners is an AoD tight string thing...this head is always cocked to one side or the other. I LOVE IT it makes him look attentive...but I know to some people it is annoying and makes it hard to angle the head for photos

For my Elfdoll Mir - -Wen he is previously loved...so he is...I guess floppy and he REFUSES TO STAND....just flat out refuses to even try!! Also his feet swivel and it looks so painful and un-natural but I think this is the product of loose stringing and I intend to restring and suede him soon

RS An: Feeeeeeeet~ >< I really love his body, his legs, arms, face.... But his feet! They just look weird. The heels are so narrow and the ball and toe section is so wide! Its just irritating..... And I keep having to push them down so that his whole foot is flat on the floor to stand him which aggrivates me a tad.

DZ Mo: Hmmm.... His little tiny Michael Jackson-esque nose. Its so.... small. And triangular. And I love him but sometimes I wonder if that's just not creepy.

And he has fat hands. >>; I like them, but they just seem fat for his arm. He also sits lopsided, and I can't figure out why, because I've checked the locking hip joint and ITS straight, but he sits tilted, so I have to tilt his torso to one side and mess with that to get him to not fall over. ><

 

Lets see. My Bobobie boys, the hands most definitely. They're so girly! And their wrists have zero mobility.
My B&G Girl, she sits lopsided. I have to make sure to move her torso to one side to even her out.
Migidoll Ryu. Well I absolutely LOVE HIM. But his ears are a little strange, and he's got a globe head. lol. But nothing too bad.

 

So far, I don't like them to look anorexic, so ribs are a no no, but most of them do. Also sometimes noses are ridiculously pointy...

 

My B&G Sapphira has an odd profile. His chin looks really long and flat to me when I turn him to the side! But I hardly ever take profile shots, so it doesn't really bother me.
