Would/do your male dolls wear eyelashes?

Jan 7, 2011

    1. Yes, they have shorter lashes than my girls.

    2. Shot ones?, yes, all my male dolls have them, only one hasn't and it's because it's small (45cm tall), but I love the realistic look it gives them so yes, pretty much all of my male dolls have them.

    3. I love eyelashes on male dolls, not the crazy long ones, but just as many others are saying I think it adds that extra realness to them.

    4. None of my dolls (all boys) have eyelashes. I find that they can already be feminine enough, so I prefer to remove them and try to retain some masculinity. Unless it is character specific or the doll is female, I don't think I'll be attaching lashes to my dolls. But strangely enough I do plan for a doll with white eyelashes as well as a lady in the house!

    5. Well, my girl doesn't right now, but that's because I forgot to buy her any... I think when I do get my boy, he'll need lashes, because I've driven myself about to distraction trying to paint them on my girl! I wouldn't want long, made-up ones for either gender, as none of them are the type to fuss about that. My floating head girl, however, intentionally doesn't because she's a robot, so I wanted her to look kind of artificial. She doesn't have any blushing either.

    6. I like lashes on male dolls, they make their eyes look softer. I do prefer them slightly shorter than female ones, though that really depends on the faceup.

    7. I like eyelashes on all my dolls though I prefer shorter, more realistic lashes on the boys. (I like girls with more dramatic lashes) Right now though only one of my dolls has lashes since I was too lazy to reapply lashes after doing the rest of their faceups.

    8. I have eyelashes on my Ryu. I honestly like how lashes can look on boy dolls - the one's I used aren't super bold or feminine. They're long but give him a softer, sweet look which fits his character. I guess it depends on the doll.

    9. None of my boys have eyelashes. But it's not because I have something against eyelashes on male dolls, I just find how you're supposed to put the eyelashes in vaguely intimidating and haven't had the guts to try it yet... :|

    10. None of my dolls have lashes. Even the girl :) I like them and have had them on in the past, but I also like the look without them.

    11. All of my guys have lashes but shorter than the girls.

    12. No, my boy doesn't wear eyelashes, but neither does my girl. They both have dark faceups so I don't bother, they'd just blend in too much in my opinion.

    13. I have no male doll. But I think pretty much when they put eyelashes on them.
I find it strange when they have no eyelashes. The first time I saw a doll with no eyelashes I did not like. For me, the doll stands out much when the doll has no eyelashes, and is a little weird.

This topic is interesting because eyelashes was the first thing I noticed when I personally met people with dolls. I always thought everyone had eyelashes like you see in stores. And I was surprised when I discovered that not all owners of doll put on them.

    14. I put eyelashes on all of my dolls (except my zuzu) I just make sure the male ones are shorter and not a focus point on my boys.

    15. of course he would wear eyelashes. guys have eyelashes too, and sometimes they have thicker and nicer lasthes than a girl! D:
I know it depends on the person's taste, but for me, I'd totally put lashes on gim :)

    16. All 4 of my boys have long lushus lashes. I don't Know I just have a thing about men and long lashes. I think it looks sexy. But that is just me. :-)

    17. I make up myself.
All my dolls are grown type boys. They all wear eyelashes.
But what kind of eyelashes depends on the character.
Cool and hard guys use the shorter eyelashes~:)

    18. Both my boys have eyelashes, and I think it adds a more realistic element to their faceups (you don't really see people walking around without eyelashes...)I especially like the eyelashes on one of my boys. It's actually one of my favorite aspects of him.

    19. I like the way lashes look on both boy and girl dolls, so I have them on both. Sometimes I get a little concerned about whether they look to "feminine", but it's really a question of relativity. I'm used to seeing boy dolls, and even if human experience would think they are feminine, in my own mind they are still masculine since girl dolls tend have more dramatic lashes and faceups. I don't know if that makes sense, lol. I'm not concerned about what non-doll people think, since they seem to think that even a shirtless boy doll is "just a girl with a really flat chest" - they're only seeing what they want to see, so an issue like lashes is pretty much moot.

    20. I don't have my doll yet, but when he comes he might get some lashes. Or he may not. He tends to look kind of feminine already so I don't know if he'd be mistaken to be a girl too much if he wore eyelashes. Otherwise I love both boy and girl bjd's with eyelashes! It's faaaabulous~
