1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Would you buy multiple sizes of your favorite mold?

Apr 12, 2014

    1. I have done this and I would do it again! I had the ltf mnf and f60 Chloe - all the same character. I just loved that character so much when I got my minifee that I didn't really want to get other dolls and make new characters. My attachment to her was so great, and I wanted to investigate her character at different ages. That being said I did get bored of it eventually and have moved on to other dolls and characters (still have the mnf). But to be fair I get bored with all dolls and need a change up from time to time. But I really enjoyed it while it lasted :)

    2. Yes, if money wasn't the issue, I would love to have my grail doll Lishe in different size and different skin color as well!!:love

    3. I probably will if it's that good.

    4. I don't know. My wishlist is pretty long even without duplicates. Maybe it's because I only have a few dolls, but I kind of want to explore a variety of dolls and characters. I do like the idea of having one character at different ages, though. I hadn't thought of that.

    5. Already planning to - I have an F60 Mirwen @ home, & saving for the MNF version. If (hopefully when) they release Mirwen in smaller sizes, I'm down for those too.

Would love the LTF & Delf versions of Chiwoo to go with my two MNFs. And not gonna lie I'd kill for even tinier version of Chiwoo too.

Does that answer the question? LOL

    7. I certainly would. I already have a Delf Breakaway and a Littlefee/Chicline (MSD sized) Breakaway LOL I'd love to own a Feeple65 Breakaway or and Ital, as well. I'd love to own a tiny Breakaway, but I don't particularly like the aesthetic of the LTF/CL Breakaway head on the LTF body. It looks a bit to mature for my tastes...

    8. I actually plan on doing that with some of my boys soon. I want to make little yo-sd's of them. Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this way XD.

    9. I would be unlikely to buy multiple sizes of the same sculpt because the other sizes are never identical to the original. There are always a few changes. I tend to not like the differences that occur when the sculpt is resculpted at a different size/scale.

    10. I would not. I guess it is because I love 1/4 scale dolls and I would not think of getting anything in the 1/3 scale. However, some companies (like Luts) don't have the same molds in different scales, as opposed to others (FairyLand) which do. I suppose it is all personal preference. I would not want two of the same sculpt. But things change, so who knows. I may someday :)

    11. Hi, I have 2 different Fairyland Lishes on layaway; a Minifee and a Littlefee. I want to make them twins but different sizes! :dance

    12. Yes I think I would to fill out my collection.

    13. Nah, I wouldn't. I'd rather collect different sculpts so that I have variety.

    14. I took a look back, and even though it hasn't been that long since I replied, my grouping changed pretty drastically here!

At the time I only had one Shiwoo (LTF) with one on order (MNF); currently, I have one of each size except the smallest (PKF) and wouldn't rule that one out... I'm also planning to add another large Shiwoo (crossing my fingers FairyLand will rerelease him when they start up on F60s again!), and somehow I'm also going to add at least one and probably two F60/Delf Els to be larger versions (more or less) of my LTF El...

That's not even touching where I have two heads the same sculpt for two different dolls, because at the time the only way to get that style of head was a MNM order and I didn't want to miss the chance at getting both characters covered.

    15. Nah, I don't think I would. But I can see why other people would. :) Even if money would not be an issue, I'd prefer to have something new and different each time. It's just more fun for me that way. I'm also really partial to SD+ sizes, so owning smaller sizes would be unlikely anyways.

    16. Well.. I want all the sizes of Ante... so I guess so? Other wise I don't actually have any favourite molds I would buy in any other sizes...

That would be true, except that Luts recently released the MDF line with a bunch of their delf boys, SDF Bory, SDF Cherry, and KDF zuzu Lio and Corni... just saying ;P

    17. No, I wouldnt do it. Usually it is enough for me to have one favourite mold in just one size. And it is more likely that I get another doll wich is different from my previous one. I dont like to have same dolls, eventough they are different sizes.

    18. I totally agree with Azali. Wouldn't do it. Plus there's no point for me to do so when my wishlist has enough to keep me distracted for years.

    19. If I found a doll that I really really loved, then I'd consider getting her in different sizes, but I'd probably style them both very differently.

    20. It's difficult to say... If the companies can design and re-scale well, then yes. But I found kind of difficult. For an example; Luts SSDF Avalanche and MDF Avalanche. I prefer him in SSDF size but in MDF size is kind of strange, especially his body proportion to his head.
