Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Would you buy multiple sizes of your favorite mold?

Apr 12, 2014

    1. I didn't think I would, but I ended up doing something like this.
      I have a Littlefee Chloe with tan skin, but I also fell in love with the Feeple65 Chloe, so I ended up getting her with tan skin, too. To me they look different enough because of the big size difference.

    2. Well, I cannot call it the same mold, but I have minimee of Bededict Cumberbatch from Nobility (SD size) and Owl's moor from Russia (MSD size) and they both are going to be different characters. First, I wanted to have MSD Sherlock as it's easier to take him to events, but then I realized that he's gonna be more individual than to be just a smaller copy of my SD

    3. I've seen a lot of people have multiples of Doll Chateau Ada, and I like it in the sense that they've created entirely different characters with the same body. I don't know if I'd get the exact same head and body sculpt, but maybe same head with different sex bodies, for example Doll Chateau's Bella and Hugh.

    4. Idk, I don't have too many sculpts on my wishlist that are made in multiple sizes. But I'm drawn to certain types of faces, so recently when I showed my mom an SD boy I want to get, she thought it looked too much like my current MSD boy... but I wouldn't want them to be the same character. I would style them differently enough that they probably wouldn't look like the same sculpt.

    5. Nope ! I'll just choose the size I prefer^^ I could buy a sculpt several times in the same size I believe, even if right now I have no intention to do so, but since I have sizes I like better I'll pick the one the I'm most comfortable with.

    6. I would! To make different age versions of them. That way I could go back and forth in the photostories.

      Or just to give me a better idea of what their traits are and why.

    7. I probably wouldn't because I'd rather save that money to get a different doll. I don't really want a yosd for myself and I don't feel the size difference between and MSD and a SD would be worth paying for. Plus a lot of the dolls I love aren't offered in different sizes. Although I do really like seeing photo stories people do when they have the same doll in different sizes.

    8. Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes! I would adore a smaller DC Elizabeth to go along with my regular ones. Maybe as a little sibling or just for variety.

    9. Yep! I'm thinking about it right now! I want another Luts Aragorn and I also want Soom Dia but tawny and another Lillycat Ellana. I just keep thinking of so much stuff to do with these sculpts and having one just won't do!

    10. Perhaps. Getting the same sculpt in different sizes could be really cute! Make parent/child or sibling pairs. :3nodding:

    11. I don't think I would ever get the same sculpt in multiple sizes. I tend to not want to have sculpt duplicates anyway; although I am thinking of making a set of twins.

    12. Well... it's been a year and a half since I posted, and I just have to say I love my triple Shiwoos and double Els. And I definitely want at least one more Shiwoo and possibly two more Els, so I'm by no means done yet! (and they're still the same character at the same age but in different sizes, which has been a lot of fun for me too. I'm looking forward to some free time in the coming year to style them all the same, and likely do some "matching" photoshoots!)

    13. Personally I wouldn't buy a doll in multiple sizes to be the same character, though it would be really interesting to see a progression in a characters life like what they were as a child then teen then adult I feel like I would be satisfied with simple concept art of other designs they may have had throughout their life. I would still really enjoy seeing someone else have different sized dolls of the same character, and maybe my opinion will change in the future if I do see that!

    14. I intend to. FairyLand Pongpong is just too adorable to just have one. I'm just not sure if I want the two smaller ones or if I want to go for the LittleFee as well! Darn you FairyLand, and your cute sculpts! :-}
