1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Yes!! Just think of the shorter characters that are always forced to be THAT much shorter than their partners!! :XD:

    2. I think 50-55 cm dolls are the perfect compromise for someone who wants a shorter sd. Especially when the character is a girl and 60 cm isnt cutting it

    3. These would probably be the only SD size that I'd be interested in getting. Then again, I've not seen an SD in person, so I'd probably have to hold one in my hands for me to decide whether they are completely out of the question or not.

Merrydollround's dolls come in this size range and they are perfection, so if I was going to get an SD, it might be one of those.

    4. Wow, this thread was pulled out of the depths of time! SQ Lab and Ocean Moon have this size if anyone is looking. A small SD head (8ish inches) looks fine. A larger MSD head (7.5-8 inches) would probably look nice too.

    5. I prefer dolls that are in the 65 cm to 70 cm range so I personally wouldn't be interested in them, but I'm all for more variety and diversity when it comes to BJDs ^__^

    6. I have a Luts Junior and he's a great size! Not too big or small and really cute! Too bad Luts discontinued the Junior line...

    7. Oh my goodness, YES! I really like the MSD size so far but my dear gal likes her men taller and sadly the 60+ cm are just too tall for her. She would look much too childish next to a man of that height, but a 50cm male would fit all too perfectly with her! Especially if their sculpts had a nice mix of the mature SDs and the childish MSDs.

    8. Yes, mostly girl dolls though. I saw some short SDs but didn't really like them because of their look. I'm really into the semi-realistic bjds and it's hard to find bjds that look this way that satisfies my personal taste.

    9. Especially for when they make MSDs look too mature and not child looking, they should make them 50-55cm size. It's a perfect teenager size. (Says the person with a mature looking MSD.) I'm saving up for a 50-ish cm doll right now.

    10. Absolutely. I tend to like slim MSD girls and SD boys, but the standard SD size is way too big for me and would look disproportionate. I'd be soooo happy with a 50cm male body that could fit small SD heads.

    11. I would flip out over a mature looking girl in a 50-52cm range. I adore sewing for the bigger dolls but I've found that anything above 58cm is just too big for me. I love my Fairyland girl on her moe body which puts her at 54cm - one even shorter but in-scale with the SDs in terms of head size/eye size etc to be a younger sister would be perfect!
