1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Y.Cen Dolls Chong Lin

    1. I did not get him from moonlight this time. I got him through another Taobao agent and they are small but authorized dealer for Y.C doll. The price for him is a bit expensive compare to moonlight (I think $90 or so more) but the EMS from South East Asia to me is about $180.

I hope you get your boy safe and soon!

    2. Just going to rant a little about my Wu Qi experience with Moonlight here.

I ordered him the literal second he was uploaded because I'd been wanting him since I saw YC tease him, so I bought him in tan. Moonlight has him listed at $915 and I paid a downpayment of $350 at first. When they came for the second payment, they asked me for $665 more, bringing the total to $1015 so I asked what the extra $100 was for. They told me that light tan and tan were $100 more (this isn't disclosed anywhere on the original order page, although I had my suspicions already at first). So I said whatever, and paid them the extra $100.

Later on, they told me he was ready to ship, and offered me the following options (I am from Australia):

      EMS: $295
      China Air: $170
      SAL: $145
      Sea Mail: $80

Having lost a $1400 costume before in the mail, I don't trust anything other than Fedex or DHL, so I asked them to quote me the prices of these 2 companies, to which they said were the following. They also offered me a third option which I had never heard of before called BaslExpress which I could barely find any info on at all:

      DHL: $340
      Fedex: $320
      BaslExpress: $160

Having shipped ID75s to Australia before from my warehouse in China, I've never been charged more than $230 using Fedex for an ID75, and I know for a fact as I have both at home, the boxes for ID75 and YC76 is basically the same and also similar weight wise as well. So these prices seemed like way too much to me. I then asked for them to ship it to my local warehouse in Beijing, China. They quoted me $20-$35 to ship it domestically. Relenting, I asked them to ship to locally.

The destination ended up being Beijing -> Beijing, and not quite literally, but the distance was so close it may as well have been down the road. They charged me $20 for this using SF Express, except I know for a fact it only costs like 80yuan (about $12) to send an ID75 sized doll from one side of China to the other using SF Express - but to be honest, it wasn't worth my time arguing so I paid it.

I received my Wu Qi in the warehouse today, and they sent me the wrong colour. I received him in Normal, when I ordered Tan, and even paid the $100 unspecified extra for Tan. My warehouse, as expected, is only charging me $203 using Fedex to get him home to Australia as well (as opposed to Moonlight's quoted $320).

So, absolutely subpar experience so far, and if only I didn't realise too late that I could've just bought it directly myself, I would never have used them. I can't even fathom how annoyed I'd be if I had paid the $340 DHL direct to AU only to open the box and find that he's wrong.

Anyways....now to wait for their response to me.

    3. I feel your frustration, my guy is ready to ship ( a normal skin WU Qi

And my quotes to the U.S were
      EMS=$370
      China air=$160
      SAL=$115

My question here was lost in the shuffle of the last page but do you Setsura trust shipping China air? Or to be safe should I just suck it up and do the EMS and then never order a doll or anything via the volume of a doll through moonlight again and just stick with the small items as it seems they are less likely to price gouge those?

    4. As I mentioned, I don't trust any of those, but there is no way in high hells I would pay $370 for EMS, which has been on a massive chokehold out of China ever since Covid started. I've had friends receive things via China Air before but personally I am only willing to use FedEx or DHL. Alternatively, just send it to a Chinese warehouse address of your choice and I guarantee they'll charge you less, as I mentioned. I wouldn't order anything ever again from them if I were you, they've charged up to over 100% upmark on what are just TB items you can buy easily.

    5. Okay, thank you for your opinion. I donโ€™t have anyone I know in China so thatโ€™s not a possibility for me and having to find a proxy might cause even more headaches down the road with the short notice.

Iโ€™ll have to see what they reply from my email and then Iโ€™ll have to pick one and live with it and just not deal with them again with doll purchases.

    6. Update! 77cm body! With more wider shoulders! Check out the pictures (side by side comparing the top portion of the body. Click link to her Instagram.

I love the more buffed look ycdoll maker is going for! Now, I am trouble haha.

    7. Oh, Same here! I like him. Still waiting on my Wu Qi, he was shipped but will probably take a few more weeks to arrive due to the shipping chaos.

    8. She deleted post on Instagram comparing the two bodies side by side. She also updated her Weibao that she will still be making changes to it. Hopefully sticks with the thicc chest.

    12. Oof, I adore these boys and had to grab one in light tan from Moonlight. T_T

    13. To everyone wanting to buy these dolls I DO NOT recommend buying from Moonlight. As many of you know, the markup that they charge is literally insane and the customer service is next to none. In this case, the YC76 in NS with one head's original price is 4200RMB, and jointed hands are 750RMB, which brings a total of 4950RMB. 4950RMB is about ~$685 USD but Moonlight is charging $925 for this doll.

I spoke to YC directly in chinese regarding other possible ways to order her doll, because this is really unacceptable, and many people do not want to to use this agent due to all the problems experience before in the past.

You can order via the following methods instead.

      1. Uncle dolls
This is a THAI agent but YC advised me that they accept orders in english also. I checked their prices and it's much more reasonble and close to the original cost

      2. You can DM YC DIRECTLY ON Instagram.
You MUST speak chinese to her and you MUST be able to pay via TaoBao and have a chinese shipping address. I assure you using a translator is not difficult, and YC herself is very very kind and accomodating. This way, you will be able to pay the original price with 0 markup.

There is also a third agent she is planning to work with, however she has not managed to sort the details out yet. She advised that she would tell me once she has.

Please, save yourself some money and don't order through someone light Moonlight.

    14. Ah shoot... should've checked this thread before I put in the order. :doh the body was perfect for shelling a character I had in mind... guess we'll just wait and see.

    15. @Setsura Bless! Thank you for doing all this research. I just saw how much the coco version is on Moonlight and $1500 is wild to say the least. Appreciate all the helpful info!

    16. Coco was an LE5 limited lottery only run in China. The cost was 8350RMB (~$1150USD).

I'll update the thread again when YC gets back to me about the third agent option, but I really would recommend ordering from her directly. I was able to do so last time after Moonlight tossed me around like an idiot, and not only did I save myself a shitton of money, YC got everything sorted for me SO fast and was SO kind even though my chinese isn't the best.

If you already ordered through moonlight, I would try and see if you can cancel and try one of the other methods instead. It's not a small amount of money difference, it's quite a lot....and we all know how they are when it comes to shipping time...

    17. @Setsura

Does Yi Cen have their own taobao shop?

    18. Yes, but you cannot order directly from it on your own, you must contact her first.

    19. I have been informed that the third dealer will be Stacey's Pink Ocean. Of course, buying directly from her will still fetch the best price, however this and the 2 previously mentioned options are methods for buying other than using Moonlight.

      Hope this helps.
