Youpla Dolls - Discussion - Part 1

@Sharkyra She is SO stunning!!!! That wig looks unbelievably good on her. Carmen does really fit her style here. My Celeste has made it through customs and should arrive at some point this week but she's blank for now so it won't be nearly as exciting haha....still pretty exciting.

 

@Ctrowbridge77 Thank you so much. The wig was literally the only wig I had left in her size. And it really needs some TLC, but I was also surprised how well it fits her. So she will keep this wig no matter what ^___^.
I'm crossing my fingers that your Celeste will arrive soon! Will you be painting her face-up yourself or are you going to have it painted by someone else?

 

Aww thanks @Sharkyra !! I got her yesterday! She is super cool and I love the purple resin.

I will be doing her faceup myself! I have a bit of a backlog of dolls needing faces lol. I have a white wig on her while I feel out how I'm going to style her....and a white dress. She looks like a ghost. I generally like fancy historical/fantasy stuff so I gotta do some experimenting to see what colors I like with her resin. It's also interesting trying to style wigs to show off her cute ears...and kinda hard!

I am so happy to hear that your Celeste is keeping that wig! So perfect.

 

Will you be moving her up in your faceup to-do list?

But I know that feeling I also have about 3 more dolls here that are in need of a face-up, including my poor Vlad. I actually planned to send him away for a faceup, but I might give in and do it myself in the end, because I don't want him to be away for a longer period of time. I mean poor Vlad is the only guy among my Youpla girls ;D.

My Youpladolls arrived just few days ago, Celeste from the last pre-order and Ziya, bought during the 'in-stock' shop update. I love them so much, they pose so well, and the resin is amazing. I've always wanted a Ziya in light tan, so happy I could finally get one of my 'grail' dolls!
Here are my girls (Ziya is still waiting for her wig to wear )

 

@Sharkyra Honestly, EVERYONE on the faceup list needs to get moved up lol. It's been so dry where I live that I really should start knocking some of them out! I have four girls who need faceups (and two more are on order, so eeep!). I just need to try. The others I have a pretty solid concept in mind - for Celeste, I just may wing it with something pretty and a little shimmery.

I love that you have a whole Youpla crew! How fun! I can see how it's super tempting now for your Vlad to have his face finished so it sounds like a good idea to do it yourself!

The new Alize line Mahina is stunning. I'm not sure where I'll find the funds for her, but I have a desperate need. Especially because I *adore* the posing abilities of my Yoon.

Well, let's see when she comes out and maybe with layaway an order will be possible.

I’ve just ordered a Saddie in petal skin (I fell off the dolly no-buy wagon lol) I am so excited to see how she handles. They look very well designed!

There’s a new global preorder allowing you to pick any non-discontinued mold in any resin color on the website! Open until April 5th.

I’m eyeing Olive and Mahina to maybe join my Lupita and Ziya at home.

 

Does anyone have a chart/picture of all the colors at once?

 

I think mostly they are inside the sculpt information pages - Mahina has a comparison of Tan, Caramel, and Chocolate, and Yoon has one with petal and some of the other colors.

Also the Youpladolls social media usually will say which resin color it is if you are looking at the stock photos.
