Your Doll Plans for 2012

I have pretty flexible plans, but so far, they're:
-attempt a few face-ups
-if face-ups go well, order an inexpensive practice head or two
-purchase at least one doll, maybe two from my list (It's a long one. :p) I'm thinking a ResinSoul Mei and a Doll Leaves Bailey or Vanesa.

 

My plans is not to spend. Good luck with that as I already spent a lot in only 2 months XD
I'm waiting for a few items and bought a few smaller ones and after all that I have to stop since I may have to get a place to live in. in a few months.

As I do not want to stick to my parents basement I need to save for that so BJD spending will take a very big step down.
Though I still hope to be able to "complete" a few dolls as I do have a little too many heads floathing around but that may only happen when I'm staying at my own new place ^^

I'll try to stick to painting and sewing during the months I won't be able to buy, maybe even open a shop ?
That could work.... ~

 

My plans for this year are.

1)finish off Finn and get his face up sorted, as well as buy him proper wig and clothing.
2)Find a wig for my Dreamhigh Frost as well as start thinking on what clothing he will wear.
3)Save up for the dolls on my list, buy them and then send them off to have face ups.
4)buy Wigs, eyes for my planned dolls.
5)Learn to sew and make them their World of Warcraft clothing/armour.

 

I try to set pretty concrete plans for myself to keep my spending in check. It was going fine till I fell in love with bjds this year.

My plans this year are:
-get faceups for my mui chan and secret doll person
-buy a littlefee ante and get her a faceup
-buy yosd clothes and littlefee clothes
-pay for my enyo (I have a spare kidney if anyone needs one)
-buy some clothes for my poor neglected jdoll
-get faceups for my last 2 dals
-downsize a ton of Blythe stuff.

 

I am fairly new, but I'll soon have 3 dolls already, so my list would be something like this:

- Give all of them face-ups that I'm pleased with.
- Sew them, at the very least, default outfits that they can wear at any time
- Wigs. Make them preferably, buy them if nothing else.
- Start saving up money for a Puki, because they're terminally cute and I've fallen in love with a few sculpts.
- Try not to do more impulse purchases. -.-

Hrm, that's about all I can think of.

 

My plans for 2012: to finish a costume for one of the dolls for holloween, save up funds for a possible limited edition doll, and more quality photo sessions with my dolls.

 

Hmm, think I already posted in this thread, but I have more updates so here goes.

-Get first doll (Check and check--Musedoll Re-che on the way!)
-Learn to do face-ups/body blushing to a point where I can be satisfied
-Make him at least one outfit complete with accessories
-Take pictures/make photostories
-Sell some stuff--either that I made or things I bought and don't use, which leads to the next one...
-Start saving!
-Last but not least, maybe just maybe, order my second doll during a Christmas event...heh

 

The next one I'm going to buy will be a Fairyland female. I don't care which one because I have a faceplate to put on her, and her default one is going to be sold on here some time, probably. Other than that, there's one I'm looking but I can't remember where I saw him. My wife knows the companies better than I do so she can help me find him again.

 

My doll plans for 2012, so far.

+Sew a decent wardrobe for my dolls

+Get a doll display cabinet

+Get Spirit Doll Elegance boy body

+Save up for spring, summer and winter events!

 

I think I will look at adding to my very small collection by adding at least 2-3 more dolls this year after the current one I'm waiting for (stuck in customs... *grumblegrumble*) has arrived. I need a mini army of tinies. The thing that worries me is one day I'll have Marketplace access. That won't be good for sticking to my plans LOL.

 

I thought I'd make a new post, because already my plans have been completely messed up. Damian (SoulKid Maillo) is now indeed for sale to pay for Kyoya (partially at least). But now I've ordered AS 1/6 limited Bella too. So under no. 3 I'm now eagerly awaiting FOUR incoming dolls and I'm nowhere near able to afford 4 and 5. DoT E-An will have to be put off until at least after the summer, maybe even 2013.
No. 9 is done though, I took many many pics this week with all my new gear. Also got no. 12 out of the way: the bed is here and everything sewn for it, YAY! Really happy about that one. So many opportunities for pics! No. 13 is in it's beginning stages, but I'm too busy playing with my dollies and living on this forum to get it really going. I'd like to add a no. 14 as well: I would love to build a room for the new bed. It should be easily put together for shoots, but also fit ito my closet either assembled or disassembled, so I haven't quite figured it out yet...

If anything else happens to mess up my plans (or get/keep them on track), I'll post again!

 

Update!: Uzi's on the way home from getting her faceup, and I'm gearing Aria up for her complete revamp.

 

Plans have already changed, and for the better!
Dollstown 18 boy body is paid in full.
And I've set my sights on the new iplehouse YID girl body, so I don't have to wait around for the mythical Feeple 60cm body or an exceedingly rare white Oasis girl body.

 

UPDATE::: My plans are going great! I've already managed to bring home 2 new dollies this year!

 

Plans for 2012 as of right this second:

--Get Cecil (Elfdoll Wu) home
--Get Bunny (Elfdoll Aden) a body
--Continue scouring the marketplace for Certain Things
--Get the RIGHT eyes for Grey/Shirou/Cecil/Bunny

Aaaaaaaand...that's it. Don't have the funds to go overboard, so I'll be restricting my purchasing to a few very specific things.

 

Hmmm~ My plans for 2012.

-Finally receive my first doll. Crossing fingers for April at the latest.
-Making lots of things for her and show everyone in my family that I am indeed serious about this hobby.
-Perhaps get into the process of possibly getting a second one way later during the year. (Saving up.)

 

My needs for innocent young looking dolls has diminished.
Plan of 2012:

#1 - Sell the young looking ones. (Waiting)
#2 - Get a muscular boy from Souldoll. (Have to finish #1 first)
#3 - Get the curvy girl of Soom FC female. (Almost)

Sounds pretty simple this year...

 

Really I had no real plans for 2011 since I just discovered BJDs that summer Got my first one home in november.

This year however I actually have some plans, these are the ones already in motion:

1. Sell my PW Goldie WUs body and get her a new one from DC.
2. Get my DC Hilary home and give her a DZ Moon head instead. And, if that works out, buy yet another Hilary body for the floating head. If not, I'll look for a new body for Moon.
3. Get DZ Lulu home (she'll get here next week)

After the summer plans/when I get the money:
4. Buy PW Brianna vampire head if/when it comes out as a basic, and get her a DC body as well.
5. Get myself a Realpuki Soso and perhaps Roro as well, depending on my money situation.
6. But Littlefee Ante Elf.

I make the faceups myselt, and the clothes if I can, but might buy some shooes as well for these guys. We'll see

 

My plan for this year is to create a house for my tinies. I have a small glass cabinet with 5 shelves that is perfect for them. Each shelf will be a different "floor" of the home...living room, kitchen, play room, bedroom, etc. I now need to acquire some furnishings so that it looks more like a home and less like a cabinet.

 

Plans for 2012:

-Bring home a mnf mirwen in the spring.
-Acquire default wig and eyes for her.
-Get her a faceup from Kloudei or Rosella.
-Get Faye a new faceup from Rosella.
-Get a practice head and start trying my hand at faceups (Rembrandt pastels, etc.)
