Your Doll Plans for 2012

I am thinking the concept of a plan is brilliant until I laugh it out the door and spend far more than I was planning to and then feel guilty. So, I think I will stick to my non-plan plan 2012 = Iplehouse and hopefully an IrrealDoll of some sculpt or other. The rest I will play by ear. See what I mean?

 

In 2011 I went from zero dolls to three within six months with three more already bought this year. So the rest of this year will be spent getting them more clothes and props and only buying more dolls if it's reeeeeeeaaallly important to me.

 

I don't believe you..not even for one second!

 

1. Nope they are still floating heads.
2. Nope they are still faceless but I have done face ups on three other dolls.
3. Yes, I did manage to get a Bambicrony girl that has long been on my list...the other two dolls I've bought weren't on my list. (A list that has been heavily edited recently. )
4. Hasn't happened yet but I'm still looking. I'm thinking of a DIM Julius but it's still up in the air.
5. Work in progress but at least I am making progress.

So far, as grades go, I think I'm at a D-

 

i have to get my MSD collection back.....after trying to go SD sized again ^^" i realize once again that i hate that size no matter how small the SD. i really want to get my core group of three boys back again and may get one more for a total of four if i just can't resist the sculpt.

purchases: Dollmore Aidan, Mnf marcia boy, a tan Dollzone boy, and possibly one other to be decided dolly. i don't think i'll accomplish all of this due to money restraints but it would be wonderful to have at least two of my mini boys back before the end of the year...

 

Since I am still in the "Buy ALL the dolls!" mode, I have ordered a limited earlier this year, ordered a No-Longer-Being-Made Dollzone doll, debating buying some Doll Leaves dolls to get Babel (I want the dolls anyway, but I dunno if I should get them NOW), planning on ordering the Loongsoul little dragon limiteds next month, and depending on my job status, will end up buying several sculpts of the not-limited variety.

 

I have 2 dolls on the way and don't plan to buy any more this year. Clothes... well, my girls are spoiled, so I can't promise I won't buy them stuff. Just depends on what comes out.

I'd really like to track down at least 1 kimono. I have 1 for my girls, but because of the color of it, it doesn't go with all of my girls. Just some of them. I'd like to have a kimono for the girls that can't wear the one due to color mis-match.

 

Plans:

Most important: Buy Vivian! Right now she's planned to be a Noble Dolls Raspberry, but who knows, maybe a more perfect mold will spring up between now and when the pre-orders for Raspberry open.... I assume this will be the only full doll I will be getting this year.

1. Buy Dollflower eyes as permanent eyes for my dolls - current and hopefully up-coming. Peppermint has been waiting for almost a year, and I would like my next girl to also have Dollflower eyes.
2. Get proper shoes and a wig (long or short) for Peppermint.
3. Buy a pair of Dollshe eyes as transient eyes for my next girl and permanent eyes for my hopefully future Idealian51 boy
4. Make both Peppermint and Vi their important and unique character outfits (for Vi this also means finalizing the design); Vi can also use some purchased outfits since she is rather fashionable and wears a lot of different clothes when off-duty.
5. Find and commission a face-up artist to re-paint both of Peppermint's heads, and to paint Vivian. Do not have to be the same artist!
6. Start sculpting my own doll?
7. Find a suitable sculpt for Adam?

That's it for now... Since I am working this year, I have considerably more money than I normally do, however most of it needs to either be spent on useful things like clothes for myself, rent and bills, or put into savings.... I don't have that much dolly money, even if I have more of it than usual.

 

My doll plans for 2012 have already been thoroughly bollixed! And it's only May! I'm not plannin' nothin' no more! It's Volks's & Iplehouse's faults, but mostly Volks's. And some crimes of opportunity.

I think my original plan was 2 dolls, JID Colin and SID Lee, to be purchased "shortly after New Year's"-- neither of which I have gotten yet.
First interruption was my friend was selling his incredible DOD Collection Black Ducan, a rock-star of a grail doll I've admired for years, so that was an adoption I absolutely couldn't pass up. Got a reasonable price for an OOAK, but still some serious Ouch.
Then those sinister Volks people decided to release the Tokyo Boys series in chibi form, so suddenly I had to buy a Yo-SD Isao as well. Special fullset means Ouch price, + Dollar totally flaccid vs. Yen that month.
Then Volks decided to release another set of Tokyo Boys in grown-up form, AND he wasn't being sold internationally, so then there was a suntan SD17 Shiro to be chased down on Yahoo Japan. Double ouch with extra taxes and conversion-fee sprinkles on top.

And I regret nothing! But, that means Lee and Colin are still waiting in the wings while I wait for my kidneys to grow back so that I can sell another one. I shall check back in at Christmastime and see if I have managed total fail or not.

 

Heh. Volks really did a number on you this year, J!

Dollzone Moment is long past paid in full, but hasn't shown any signs of shipping to me.

Dollstown 18 boy body should arrive tomorrow!

Ludwig's release has been delayed again.

A surprise Volks Ushiwakamaru totally ganked my Pixy Mano's spot so now I don't know what to do with that poor little head, again.

Still plan to order FCS when SDGr is added.

Still plan to order a YID girl body.

Still paying for girlfriend's SDGou body.

Now really want SoulDoll Karin!

 

Well...I would make more cloths,and eyes

 

I ordered my very first doll, a KDF Caju from Luts, on the 8th of this month, and sometime next month I may be ordering a FDoll Amber.
I want to make alot of clothes for their sized dolls and hopefully share with others on an Etsy store... when I get better at making them.

Sometime late this summer I'm going to buy a ResinSoul Song as well and make it into a Link (Legend of Zelda of course!) character doll for my boyfriend who is a huge Zelda fan.
I may buy another doll from them as well for myself, not entirely sure ^^;

 

• I almost successed but with the release of volks SD17 Shirou I failed as I bought him along with the SDGou Yukinojou D: but he's well worth the exception but with this massive purchsing I won't buy more than 3 dolls this year! "two are from volks "SD17 Isao & SD17 Tsukasa'' if they are released this year!
• Big failure D: I couldn't part with them in the end! but most probably I'll try again in the coming months
• 4 of them had face-ups and the rest plus the new dolls will send them out soon

Just one, which is to get the Spiritdoll Elegance body for my Bambee head. Should probably be able to accomplish it before the end of the year.

 

I still need to do 7, 8, and 11. 9 I want bohth an Elf El and Chiwoo. 10 he has clothes now but not a lot. 12 I am going with a Pine girl, but might get Bory boy later. 14 is currently on layaway!

 

Hmm my doll plans for 2012 are/ were:

*getting a Luts JR Delf Terra *done*
*buying another boy at the end of the year (maybe DZ Mo or D.O.I. Kellan or luke.. let's see ><)
*getting some more clothes for my Terra (It's so difficult to find clothes fitting him >_<)
*Getting a doll from Doll Chateau (Just loove their styles and bodys!!)

 

My plan is to get a combat hardsuit for my Ashanti to make her Commander Shepard from Mass Effect, I've just commissioned her in-game N7 hoody.

I'd also like to get her battle uniform (her default outfit during the Earth prologue with Anderson) and the N7 leather jacket that only Male Shepard got to wear (sexist Bioware thought that FemShep players would prefer a nasty looking fetish dress)

I'd also love to get the Gothic Tower dress from Moulin Rouge

 

Well my plans changed again, I know that. Was gonna save up for my Abadon head's body...but now I'm hopefully gonna have the money by the end of the month to buy a Dollshe Husky during one of the three limited runs the company's doing. Even if he's gotta be naked, hairless, and even eyeless for a few weeks XD

I'll just wrap him in a blanket and show my love by taking him apart and putting him back together XD

 

Well, so far in 2012 I've gotten my first MNF, two Resinsoul MSDs (3 if you include one that's now a floating head) and an Impldoll Dorisy. I'm still in the process of paying off the Dorisy, but after that I'm planning to save up for either a MNF/Rosette Hybrid or a Dikadoll Ruber Vampire on their 73cm body with 5-jointed torso. I'm hoping that I'll be able to afford both before the end of the year, but we'll see.

 

Well I just started collecting BJDs this year. MY only goal is getting as many Fairyland dolls as possible. So far I have 4. Well technically, 2 of them are still on their way^^
