Your Doll Plans for 2012

Oh god the plans!
First- Nancy needs scaring, body blushing, seamsanding and a face up
Then- Sam needs dying, sculpting ears and hips, piercings, scars, tattoos, face up, body blushing, and I need to sew him clothes and make him a wig
Lastly: Mordred needs body blushing, tattoos, sanding definition in his abs and hands and feet, mobility thighs, some posing modifications to his back x

So all the things before the end of the year basically

 

No new dolls for me! I will be focussing on my three boys ^^

First, Kiahn, my AR LF Cien mod, will get his alien mod finished and some lovely leather outfits made. I also need to get his hands and feet airbrushed because I've tried to blacken them with pastels, but it doesn't look good >< If money is a little less tight he will get jointed hands ~

Next, Rembrandt, my SD who will turn one in less than 3 weeks! He is in desperate need of a new face-up, a good body cleaning and restringing. I might try sueding him because his Domuya body poses pretty badly ( I should think of a new one soon...). Then, he needs to be spoiled a LOT more because in the year I've had him he only got 4 or 5 pieces of clothing, poor guy. I have also not role-played him properly for months so that will need some 'maintenance' too.

Then there's Copper, who has been with me for maybe 2 months - he has NO clothes, just borred some stuff from Kiahn that is way too dark for his bubbly, boy-like character. I'm thinking of changing his eye-colour from this subdued amber that he has now to bright orange. I have so far failed to find the right colour... I tend to be super picky about eyes so back to hunting the MP for 16mm orange glass eyes...

Then all my dolls will need their own traveling blanket, and in the long run I'd like to make my own SD carrier bag because folding your SD into an MSD bag is not a good way to transport your doll x'D And when all of that is finished, I'll probably have brought home a new doll and all will start over again... |D

So in short, clothes & traveling blankets for all, tentacles for my LF Cien and restringing/bath time for my SD :3

 

Long term I want two 1/3 dolls (To re-shell two old characters) and two tinies. I hope to get one of the sd's this side of the new year. *crosses fingers*

 

My goals are:

1) Do not buy any full dolls
2) Finish all current dolls (some need face-ups, and about half of them need shoes)
3) Sell some dolls/clothes/eyes/wigs
4) Try to get semi-decent pictures of dolls
5) Display all my dolls either in a cabinet, on their couch, or in stands
6) Get a body for a floating head

So far, I haven't bought any new ones- a giant improvement from last year!

1) Get Lucas a new faceup - Done!

2) Get a Delf Boy body - got an f doll body!

7) Winter clothes for Lucas and Rowan

8) Twin Terras for Luka and Sage

9) Littlefee Rachel at least. Maybe Elf El, Chiwoo, Bisou, and DES - Rachel bought!

10) Chicline El - wig, shoes, clothing - Done!

11) Dollheart Fukubukuro bags in November

12) Maybe Kid Delf Kiwi and Bory

13) Get Falcon a new wig, along with a puki wig - Done!

14) Get Macyn an Fdoll body - Done!

1.Look around the forum now that I finally have Internet service back!
2.Restring my existing doll.
3.Possibly buy a new doll, for the first time in ten years.

So far succeeding only with #1.

 

Buy my first doll I'm not going to have time or money for much else before the year's out, unless of course I get one of the jobs I applied for today *crosses fingers, toes and eyes* I'm so desperate to get her.

 

Here's my list:

1. Pay off the rest to get my MNF Shushu
2. Get a Fairyland MNF Chloe and a Doll Chateau Alberta (and maybe a boy, but I can do that also next year :3)
3. Sell my Soom Marl
4. Do more photoshoots of my dolls
5. Go to my first Dollmeet

 

1. Face~up for my Dollshe Saint and Nyx Limos
2. Sell some clothes, wigs and probably my B and G boy so i could get a fund for Dollshe body
and maybe a suit for him too.
3. So basically i am trying to downsize too. I am to send my msd girl to my big sister.
4. I will try not to buy another doll after dollshe. Unless Nyx/Ordoll remakes Heye. Then i have to break my goal.

 

1. Get Ilari and Lil'ari back with from face up artist. &#9829; Can't wait.
2. Find them wigs with the right styles in the same white-blond color. This is harder than I thought!
3. Stop looking at doll stuff all together so I won't be tempted and just enjoy the four I have.
4. ...and maybe join the next Mystic eyes preorder. One of my custom pairs has a scratch. xp.

 

Buy three pukis and spoil them rotten.

I'm almost there. I'm trying to finish the wig before the body arrives.

 

OH HOLY CRAP here I am changing plans for the third time. Why have plans at all, OMG. NEW TOTALLY FOR REAL PLANS FOR 2012 100%:

--Jointed hands for Max
--Well-made cane for Max
--Fur travel/hanging out wig for Max
--Send Max's head away for a face up where it doesn't look like his lip is bleeding
--Begin prepping for nice photostories
--Make Sokol suit for Yuri because I apparently hate simplicity and my hands feeling nice
--Take Max (and maybe Yuri) to Mauna Kea for photos
--NO MORE DOLLS god damn it Yuri already broke like 5,609,378,599 of my plans enough is enough goddamn D: D: D:
--BONUS ROUND MAYBE PLAN: DSLR for doll photos.

Time for an update!

1. Still no progress on this one... I really hate Ebay .
2. In progress!
3. In progress - choosing permanent eyes is difficult work!
4. Done! I enjoy blushing the dolls and the results are not bad at all!
5. Tried it. Failed. Probably won't try again for a while.
6. Have the Rosette head. Need Fairyland to start selling C-line bodies again.

PLANS PLANS PLANS!

1. Get my airbrush working again so I can practice faceups
2. Get Heibol a body and fix his faceup
3. Airbrush Pai tan and give her a faceup
4. Sew clothes for Pai
5. Commission/Sew clothes for Tony and Heibol (might be too many embellishments to sew myself)
6. Get Pai a wig and finish styling Heibol's
7. Get Tony and Pai the correct color eyes
8. Get some of the dolls on my wishlist preferably Heliot first
9. Get hooves for Pai

So much work to do!

 

Time for an update from me!

1. No more dolls!!! (yeah, I know, but I'm really approaching my limit! Counting the 2 dolls I put on preorder before the end of last year, I'll have 12 which is a very nice sized collection without being more than I can comfortably handle.)

Turns out the two preordered dolls didn't fit in so were sold. Therefore my numbers are only at 10...I could actually buy two more and still be on-goal!

2. Take more photos and learn to do photostories. (I worked so hard on my dolls and displays throughout 2011, I really didn't have anytime to devote to photo taking.)

Partially successful with this one, though my focus has changed. I've been taking more photos and enjoying it so much that I decided I didn't need to tackle photostories...my single photos are telling the story themselves.

3. More clothes and jewelry for my dolls. (Easy peasy...I'll just enter more of the Runway Challenges here on DoA. That way I have built in parameters to inspire me and firm deadlines to keep me on task. It also forces me to take photos of my dolls, helping out with resolution #2.)

Another one I've been successful at. Between the runway challenge threads, the sewing project thread, and a ton of swaps (where I always force myself to make an outfit for my own doll as well,) my crew is being outfitted at a stellar pace!

4. Finally get around to updating my signature on DoA...it's so woefully out of date after the big 2011 reshuffling!!!

Done!

 

Even though those plans are postponed for next year, I have new goals I can (hopefully) do this year:

Piercings and tattoos for Rosiel. I already have everything for the piercings, will probably do it next week

 

Mid-year Update! I didn't really have much planned for this year, so I'd say things are progressing?

* Improve my faceup skills so that I don't feel the urge to redo them minutes after finishing them

Well... this is still a work in progress. I've done a couple that I really like, but for some reason I cannot give my poor Chloe a faceup that she deserves. I may or may not send the whole crew off to get done professionally...

* Do more sewing for my girls

This has been slow, but there has been progress! There would be more but my new-ish job keeps me busy

* Acquire more dolly shoes. I love shoes!

Done! But always looking for more XD

* Maybe a few more wigs. My Rheia seems to reject anything I put on her head

Just ordered a few more from Leeke's summer event, so hoping and praying Rheia will find her wig

* Take more pictures

Still need to do this. And better pictures too haha

* Make some props and furniture so that said pictures will be interesting

Have acquired a few small things, but still need furniture
​

* Work on background stories, characters or at least find proper names for my girls

Very much still in progress, but I'm getting a better idea of their personalities even if nothing concrete has been written down

Originally wasn't planning any new doll purchases this year as I think I'd like to keep my collection small, but I'm wondering and pondering lately about bringing home a boy or two, but don't know if that means some of the girls should go... not making any decisions for the time being
