Your Doll Plans for 2012

I'm going to my first dollmeet this month, and next month I'm going to buy a SoulDoll Fafner! So not very many plans, but I'm too poor at the moment...

2}Doll clothes/accessory's
3}And wigs

I cant be specific...we'd be here all day...and my hand would cramp up.

 

2012 marks my grand entry into doll ownership!

So June saw the arrival of my first doll, and that was fantastic. For the rest of the year my plans are like this:

-Accumulate a few sets of eyes and some wigs for my current doll and potential future ones.
So far, this goal is coming along as planned. I have my favorite set of eyes on the way, and two wigs.

-Find a way to afford MNF Shushu by Christmastime.
This goal is designed to be completed by the end of the year. I need to get started on this because I haven't saved any money towards Shushu. I could also talk to my family about getting her as a gift, but I haven't mustered up the delicacy to do that yet.

-Sew several outfits to build a wardrobe, as well as my skills.
This goal has intimidated me a few times, but I've completed some worthwhile outfits. I would be happiest if I finished many more and had noticeably better skills before the year was up.

And there you have it! What an exciting year!

 

Updating again!
I decided I want to get 4 of my dolls new faceups. My Bomi, Yukio, is off getting his now. I still have an El, Aru girl (Morgan), and two Shiwoo vampires (Sorral), to get done. Sorral is two dolls, one white skin, one normal. The white one was owned by a friend, the normal was my version of him. I want them to look the same, so going to get them done by the same artist, likely Buff.

I also have seven dolls I'd like to get by the end of 2013. Twin Terras, LTF Elf El and Chiwoo, Pine Girl, Bory boy, and Lampard. Deciding on who to get first.

I'd like to get some of those Dollheart packs when they release them too. The Fukubukuro bags that is. Dunno what sizes. Maybe SD and both sexes.

Also my two Mega Gems really need clothes. I could maybe make some shirt for them, and PJ pants, but they need more than that!

 

ok 2012 has been my first year actually owning a doll... I got my little Shay about 2 months ago and i have little Geneva on the way soon... I want to acquire a boy as well and a whole heap of clothes

 

I feel a little silly for doing this so far into 2012 but here we go!!!!!!!

Well, I bought 4 dolls so far this year. (OMG that's a lot) My birthday is in 3 weeks and I'm ordering a doll body for one of my heads. Poor thing has been body-less for a year! I've been practicing face ups so I want to keep going with that. I've found like a zen place when I'm painting my dolls! I also need to get some hair for some of my dolls. I got a couple of baldies hanging around.

RESIST FULL DOLLS UNTIL 2013!!!!!!

 

I think it ok to reply to a calendar based question. So far for 2012 I have finally bought a DOT body for a floating head I have, staeyes sewing a very labor intensive costume for a contest next year, and manage to calm down on buying doll stuff. I wanting to mod a doll to look like Evra, the snake boy from the film The Vampire's Assistant: Cirque Du Freak. Very excited but only will when I can purchase a doll I think would be fitting. For now i'm waiting on the next event from DOD to purchase a Ducan. =D

 

The only plan I have for this year is to get my first doll.

So how I need to faceup him and clothe him! Woop

 

1. Track down a Crobidoll Soi head, and buy.
2. Find a good body to fit her.
3. Invest time and any extra cash I can in her clothes, eyes, wigs, etc. to make her my perfect doll.
4. Not buy a new doll until she is perfect

 

Plans for 2012
1. Reshell my first doll into a new Mold
2. Get a body for that floating head I've had forever
3. Decide to sell my Pale Tan Saint
4. Buy a EID Taregan before the end of the year
5. Try to buy or at least layaway Dollshe Original Saint/Bernard

 

I started the year with Mal on layaway and my hope was to finish paying him off, finalize my doll plans and start to collect more props and clothes.

I have been doing pretty well so far but I would like to have more clothes. I did finalize the plans for my current doll family which is to rehome one of my large boys and find and purchase to SD sized girls. That won't happen this year though.

My plans for the rest of the year, I hope to:

1.buy more clothes
2.get my Hwan head back
3. Purchase more props
4. Take more photos
5. Do my first photo story

 

my plans this year... hmmm. well have a new boy that i didn't plan on lol! and a girl to go with that will be home soon.
-working on my face-ups. hahaha my boys hate me for it!
-i have made the kids a few things so they aren't complaining per say, but its still grumbles from the resinoids. they do need more clothes.
-catching up on my body repairs. they need blushing and some modding here and there. tweaks.
-maybe get some of my intense projects started. well, actually, i start. i just never finish them. have found a lot of inspiration following the fashion challenges. i should make myself do one just so i will completely finish something.

I had six frickin' dolls ordered in 2011 that arrived well into 2011... Many I needed to pay off on layaway. Several I just had to wait months for==
Pipos Derek (layaway, arr. Jan.) --totally UNplanned. he was just too cool to pass up.
Kaye Wiggs White Faun Nelly (paid in full, no layaway allowed, arr. Feb.) --totally UNplanned. again, just couldn't resist
Soom Aphan, post-md event (paid in full, no layaway allowed, arr. Apr.) --I'd been tempted when first released... totally weakened when he was offered in this event!
Souldoll Iraki (layaway, arr. May) --totally UNPlanned... not into msd-sized, but I couldn't resist!
Doll-Chateau Alberta and Jodie (layaway, arr. Jun.)--also not planned... *sigh*

And the 4 dolls that I couldn't help but order this year arrived==
Dollmore Snake Kiss Nayuta (ebay--had to buy, arr. Jan)
Fairyland Soso (layaway, arr. Apr.) -- surprise selling period after being not offered for ages.
Ringdoll Frankenstein (layaway, arr. May) --unplanned...
5StarDoll Aiden (layaway, arr. Jun. 21) --saw one at a meetup and had to have...

Whew. Ghadz, I was in a ton of waiting rooms FOREVER! ... now I sorta miss it... no dolls on layaway or waiting...

BUT, I am still trying to avoid buying more until next year. I still have that Wish List doll I want to get... If I can only hold out... (I can barely ever get anything from my Wish List and you can probably understand why!) Five months... arrrgh!!!

 

Getting my first doll a faceup, some clothes, and some new eyes are something I want to do by the end of this year.

 

I purchased a new doll a few months ago. So my goals for the last of 2012 is to get her pulled together.
I wanna get her some outfits and set up a doll area.
I am looking into getting some sort of Cabinet for her, but if she has to stay in her box until I move - that isn't so bad either. I also wanna set up a picture taking area - which won't be so hard either.

So yep, I just get my girl some clothes right now.

 

Now we are in end July and updating...

1) Done. Volks Ami is here
2) Failed. Currently at 15 full dolls even after letting go of one Ami. Revising this year to just 15 dolls
3) Done for Gals outfits. Sadol yet to fulfil

Still looking at to complete the rest.... darn.

 

Well, I had thought that I wouldn't be getting any dolls this year except for maybe some OT Obitsus that are easy on a very tight wallet. But I won a doll in a charity raffle and since all my dolls are couples... yeah, I've seen the other half to the new doll and I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to get him either for my b'day or Xmas.
