Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. Now that I've finished moving (hopefully!), these are my goals for 2012:
      (1) Dollshe boys (Bernard, Pabo, maybe one more if timing permits) and their basics (eyes, wigs, etc)
      (2) Add more outfits.
      (3) Carrier bags!

      Other than that, I'm trying to keep my spending relatively low. Next year/end of this year will no doubt be about completing what I already have at home. I mean, those heads need bodies!

    2. It's fun reading people's "updates".

      So, where are you in your doll plans for 2012, now that August is just around the corner?

      I know I started the year with certain expectations, *not to buy any dolls* and of course that plan got totally blow-to-bits by the doll companies! (evil doll companies...)

      First, early in the year, AOD said they were going to discontinue tan skin - so I had to get a Tan Yuki before she was gone!

      Then Dollzone resumed their tan skin - so I had to get my longed for tan Kane, because who knew when tan skin would get discontinued again!

      And then, Mr. Dollshe announced that he's bringing back the classic Hound sculpt, and after this, Hound would be discontinued again, forever - so I had to order a Hound!

      The only doll I had actually planned for in 2012 finally got released with an updated body, an Illusion Spirit Basilisk. Happily, Illusion Spirit was running their Summer Event and I got a free head and free jointed hands! *sweet!*

      Now, I think I can seriously relax. I don't see any other dolls in my future, unless another doll company decides to discontinue another doll that's on my Wish List!

    3. For this year I thought I had enough dolls for the characters I wanted, so I would be less tempetd to buy new ones... I was wrong ! ^^

      I am waiting for a Dark tales' Mayfair in dark purple (an doll from the french artist Ehowinn, I don't think they are already discussed for "on-topicness" on DOA ?), soon ready to ship, and for this winter I hope, for the preorder of a white skin Nobledolls Rasperry via Jpopdolls. :)
      I dream of a Enaibi's Brisรฉis, too, I hope there will be some available in the LDoll (French doll convention this autumn).:aheartbea

    4. I am saving up to get my first doll... Ryucine from Souldoll, even tho lots of people tried to talk me out of it by saying his lips are oddly shaped or his nose is odd in general... Oddly enough I already have a character for him even tho I don't have the doll itself yet! :(

    5. Well, I did get that bod for Mister HOW-Long-Was-He-A-Floating-Head?!... but rather than buying Normai v2, I opted for the LittleFee kid/chibi versions of Kestrel and Cardinal instead.

      Two tinies does equal one mini, right? :lol:

      I also finally got around to buying a Volks Date head (I've been waffling about that for months. 'Poor guy still needs a body, though-), and I had the opportunity to replace my long sold-off and gone white resin Elf Lishe with a NS one. (I've missed Gaia. It'll be good to have her back. ^_^)

      And then there's the matter of Poet... that Soom Jet who just sort-of happened... by total accident... to... fall into my cart. (Yeah. <_< That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

      I really am running out of display space now.

    9. I bought my second girl in 2011, but I'm hoping to get at least 2 more this year. I'm eyeballing an Elsa in the marketplace, but I really really want a Dollzone Hal with the Elsa/Anson body. I have a real job this year that pays more than last year and is more long term so I'm less worried about buying. This is my last year living with my parents, so I figure this is the year to get it done before I have to worry about bills. Layway is gonna save my butt! I can buy tons and still save!

    10. Leona is arriving from IH in a month or so and Then I'm adopting Bibiane. I cannot live without her!

      There's also an EID Erik from IH that's calling my name loud and clear!

      Oh! I forgot! the new KIDs line LE in IH is certainly yummy! that may be my 4th and I'll have a complete family!

    11. I had plans of ordering a second Darae as a twin. Unluckily for me though my mother started giving me death threats and saying "No ordering dolls for the rest of this year".

      Thing is I didn't order any dolls this year (I did on December 28th last year!)

      So for now it is just sticking to purchasing clothing and other things... otherwise I'd be killed mercilessly and my dolls cut into pieces by mumsy.

      Oh boy, things have changed! I have dolls I didn't think I'd get and I've crossed off quite a few things... But here's my list from January:

      1) Buy a wig and dress for Carthusia
      2) Get Carthusia (Cupryl) and Nephriel (Arkose) home and blushed
      3) Buy a wig for Nephriel
      4) Buy a DZ Una for the Galena parts I have!
      5) Try and get an Anson
      6) Finish paying off Christa's fuku commission
      7) Do lots and lots and LOTS of faceups.
      8) ....get paid for faceups? :D

      I've done lots and lots of faceups (and gotten paid for a few, but they're all local people), gotten my fuku commission paid off and got a dress for Carthusia! She and Arkose are home and blushed. I've sold my Galena parts and decided not to get an Una or an Anson, but the biggest change is that Carthusia is not a Cupryl, she's a Garyl! I changed her head from Cuprit to Galena and it fits her so much more than Cuprit would have.

      I've decided not to buy any more dolls for the rest of the year, but I did bring home a Tremo head and horns, Shushu twins and a Souloid. <3

      Well, things have gone from bad to worse. My plans have gone from out of this world to out of this universe...

      I bought a crap-load of dolls this year, when I usually try to stick to one or two a year. I almost doubled the number! And that first was over seven years... *_*

      I'm not sure what it was... a combination of lots of interesting new dolls coming out along with total insanity, I think.

      And then I went to the doll con in Austin this month, which didn't help! Picked up three more there (tinies). And a doll on my Wish List came up on ebay... gah. (3 tinies are Off-T here, a Mushroom Peddler Willow with Buzz the Bee and a K. Lasher Ningyo mermaid... and a big On-T Iplehouse EID Carina)

      Please, please, please keep me from temptation for the rest of the year!!!! *_*

    14. my goals for the rest of this year:

      1) i'm starting a new job, including a small pay increase, in a fortnight & i've already decided that as a treat, the extra money from my first new paycheck will go on a pukifee! i still haven't decided on a sculpt, doubt i'll decide until the very second i hit order because they're all so cute!

      2) start making bjd jewellery to sell - i just don't think there's enough out there! i think it'd be ridiculously fun & cute to make such tiny little necklaces & things hehe

      3) if money will allow, i'd also really like an anthro bjd. either a deer, a kitty or a bunny i think.. so many sculpts to choose from!

      My responsible self says, "Be strong and stay the course. No more dolls this year."

      But the evil little doll voice in my head says, "But your birthday is in just a month's time and technically you didn't buy any dolls this year (one was a belated Xmas gift from a friend and I won one in a charity raffle), so buying just one right now would be totally fine as your doll for the year."

      Then the same evil voice claims that since several dolls on my list (some OT for here) are less than $100, getting more than 1 would be okay as several of them would equal the price of just one of the other dolls on my list. Then the temptation of layaway with its low, entirely affordable monthly payments rears its ugly head and I'm even more tempted to make a doll purchase. *head desk*

      So I will be trying to not to do a layaway on a DZ Edward (with a possible mecha/cyborg arm by Ringdoll) or trying not to buy an RS Dian in tan or trying not to buy OT Obitsu/Volks/Sideshow dolls. Why do I feel like I'm utterly doomed to fail?

    17. I have no plans for this year other than buying more stuff for my one and only doll! I'd like to wait until next year before getting a second doll. We'll see, though.. :)

    18. Pmsl :) I have a similar voice inside my head, it tend to tempt me into buying dolls more than I would like.

    19. I have been a very, very good girl - bought just ONE doll during 2011.
      But for 2012, I have some plans. You see, I fell in love with an Irrealdoll "Enyo". And I mean: head-over-heels in love! Searching everywhere.

      And my other plans for 2012 include: taking pictures. Lots of them! I keep passing 2 beautiful (outdoor) spots, where I want to photograph my dolls. :lol:

    20. i got my first bjd this year and i hope to fill her closet with handmade goodies for the few months that are left of 2012 if possible. i won't by my second until next year, iam pretty much set up with the one i have now, too much work and no time to get things done lol
