1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Your FIRST face-up

Oct 26, 2009

    1. My first face-up wasn't too bad. It took at good four hours to complete but I'm a bit of a perfectionist so as soon as it was done and I stared at it for about five minutes I couldn't stand looking at it any longer and wiped it. I immediately redid it and I have kept the second one so far.

    2. My first faceup job was pretty average. My color choices were safe and I just used soft pastels and watercolor pencils. Here's a photo:

    3. My first face up came out pretty good, I actually regretted taking it off... but I have progressed even still. :)

    4. My first faceup was just fine and moderate.. until I sneezed when I want to do the eyeliner part. Worst thing? That was the last step and I use acrylic paint. It went ultra messy and destroyed the whole faceup.... -_-a But I let it be for a few days later until I experimented with a new faceup for my boy.

I still keep a picture of that first failed work though haha. Will post it later on the other thread.

    5. my first faceup turns to be not as bad as I've worried... average sweet looks... If I hv time, I think I'd like to re-faceup her.. get her looks more into character :3 It's fun n challenging!!

    6. My first face-up wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. I found the eye-brows to be the hardest part. After a few attempts I managed to get something that makes me happy. It's still not "fantastic" but I don't mind. I prefer plain-er face-ups for my dolls. :3

    7. I redid my first face-up several times. On a blank head you really have to know where you're going. I experimented a bit until I finally got what I wanted. It's not a great face-up but I like it. The face-ups after that were a lot easier. ^^
