Wow I hadn't looked at my Fenny in months and thats definitely a different sculpt. Oh well, I can still look into trying my Fenny into something not a fox.

I love that, the coloring looks so smooth and even, and the fur ruff is really cute. Dyeing or airbrush?
The black is dyed (I used Rit dyemore for synthetics) as I find it works well and holds up well. I covered the areas I wanted white by painting on latex. Unfortunately I still get seepage through the latex and around the edges so there is still a sanding job to do to clean up the white areas. It does greatly cut down on how much sanding there is so worth doing the latex, it's just all a bit of a faff. The good part is the dying is easy as dying to black is the most simple colour to do! Thank you! I wasn't sure if the faux fur ruff would look ok but once I put it on, it doesn't look right without it! It can be helpful to change plans a little if the idea and the doll isn't gelling together. I had originally thought I might make my Truffle a white wolf but once I thought of turning it into a boarder collie, that idea seemed to work better (and be more meaningful).

Wow. I’m super upset right now. I haven’t really gotten back into the hobby so I’ve been trying to sell my lavender Zuzu. I just undressed her for more photos and discovered SHOCKING color change. She’s been sitting in my office—a bright space, but about six feet diagonally from the window and never in direct sunlight—for less than six months. I’ve never seen anything like this and I’m not exactly new to the hobby. Guess my nerves around special colored resin were justified after all. I’m going to have to sell her at a huge loss and wow. I’m just uuuugh. Is this normal??
Oh dang, that IS dramatic. For what it's worth, I think she still looks super pretty? I haven't noticed any color change with Arrow (my Velo, but he's mint grey, so I'm unsure how obvious it'd be, if he does start bleaching out.
The only thing I can think of is heat. A few months ago I had a space heater go bonkers overnight and superheat my office. But if that had done it, wouldn’t the change be more even? It’s a very stark clothing-no-clothing line. She is still cute, and I wouldn’t mind so much if I were keeping her. But I’m pretty pissed about losing so much resale value on an already unpopular doll
Oh my goodness! That's so strange. My 2019 lavender Persi hasn't experienced any noticeable color change, so you may be right about it being a tempature thing. Sorry about the resale value. Hopefully she'll sell quickly, at least.
Where do you keep her? I’ve asked in a couple places and the consensus is that my office is simply too bright. I feel like such an idiot. I’m not new to dolls, but I guess previous houses were just a little darker :/
