5StarDoll is a Chinese company that was established in 2005. Company representative doll*fan stated that the name was chosen to reflect that they "want to offer 5 star quality dolls and 5 star customer service". Their dolls are notable for comparatively low prices and high possibility.
Originally, each doll was offered as a basic blank doll, with the options of adding a wig, eyes, a face up, and/or a set of clothing. Currently their dolls have the options of a blank face, default company face-up, or a custom face-up. 5StarDoll has released 1/6 full set dolls referred to as "Special Release" or SR. The Certificate of Authenticity for these dolls will have "Sculpt SR" followed by the Special Release number (ex; NAME SR-XX).
