It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.Dismiss Notice

Dollfie Dream is a line of 1/3 vinyl dolls made by Volks.
Although they are made of vinyl, the Dollfie Dream (DD) line is considered on-topic for Den of Angels, as it was grandfathered in when the 'made of resin' rule went into effect.
Contents
DD Basic Body
The first Dollfie Dreams used the DD Basic body, which was strung with elastic. The body pieces were 'hard soft vinyl' with the hands and bust being 'flexible soft vinyl'. The original Basic Body was sold with a blank featureless head and optional hands with slender fingers, meant for gloves. The original price was ¥18,900. Optional heads were available separately and were attached with elastic, similar to resin BJD heads. The DD Basic Body is no longer available from Volks.
DD Basic Body II
The DD Basic Body II was first introduced at Hometown Dolpa Kyoto 3. It has a jointed inner armature, called a 'Dollfie Dream Inner Frame' (DDIF). Like the DD Basic Body, it has 14 points of articulation. However, it has a special neck peg for head attachment. It's available from Volks for ¥22,050, in white and normal skin. It does not come with a head or any extra parts.
DD Dynamite Body
A more curvaceous figure with larger bust, waist, rear and thighs than DD II. The torso joint has been moved higher, just underneath the bust. The leg movement is somewhat restricted compared to DD II due to the increased curves. The head and hands can be exchanged with DD II and MDD, but torso/bust/thigh parts are not compatible.
DD Sister Body
The 50cm 'sister' to Dollfie Dream. This body features improved articulation similar to the Obitsu 50cm doll. The head and hands can be exchanged with other DD bodies.
Character Doll Collection
This is a collection of limited fullset dolls.

Dollfie Dream wigs
Volks sells wigs for Dollfie Dreams, which are about 9". This wig size is also used for many Super Dollfies as well.
Eyes
In addition to regular doll eyes, Dollfie Dreams often look good in animetic eyes. Heads with 'closed' eyes can also take special eye decals sold by Volks.
Hybrid compatibility
The original DD Basic Body was sometimes used for hybrids because the elastic method of head attachment was similar to that of resin BJDs. However, the newer DD Basic Body II has a peg attachment for the head.
