@petiteballerine To the best of my knowledge they only planned to release the 53cm Lucifer for that crowdfund event. I bought mine in that event. But if they made the body once then they could do it again, right?

 

I'm really curious to see where they take this trend they seem to have started with the Adagio...three sizes so far. I think the 3D printing has really opened possibilities.

@AntarelNefertili do you happen to have the manual for your star lady? I'd love to see that shoulder blown apart.

@Iron_Dog Definitely write to them. I think Crocus really listens to input.

 

I can't afford anything right now as I just bought a doll. But it's good to know that Crocus does listen to what customers ask.

 

All I can offer is anecdotal, but back when I was making my big order, I was really trying hard to figure how to get a mobility joint on the Adagio. I even considered swapping out the legs between Adagio and Vigor. We had several back and forths about it, including the fact that such a graceful body needed a dancer's flexibility...and now this lad shows up. Don't take me wrong. I'm sure I was just one of several with the observation, but he does, obviously, take great pride in the posability of his bodies, so...feedback is an artist's friend!

 

I'm not sure who I'd want as the head sculpt if I was given the choice. I usually need a sculpt to speak to me. But... Garden has cheekbone you could cut yourself on and I like that. Enoch is very dashing. I like the very strong features of Saturn. I'm partial to Mads, too. Yeah, I've got choices. I'd probably go with one of the really dark resin colours too.

 

I WISH I had a character to shell that was really dark.I LOVE their dark resins. My girl coming in is Native American, and I've got black characters in the book, but my two main guys are slavic and celtic, so...pale skins. Sigh. It's a given that I'm going to create cheekbones in any face. I could care less about resale value, just what I want.

Well..not my FL LTFs. They don't need no stinkin' cheekbones.

 

I've got 4 characters who have dark skin/resin.

Dakvir (Doll-Love God-Enjoy boy dyed black) has blackest black skin. His is The Void, the thing that should not be, the taboo child of taboo people. His people hate and fear him because of what he is. He is the only Void that has made it to adulthood in centuries as they're always killed as soon as they're discovered. His story of finding love with his husband, Tyhlian (OrientDoll Tae vampire WS) is Dreaming Of The Void.

Skerren (Akhmel Nathan) is the "child" of Ondraeden (Elder God of Fear & Nightmares) and Valerian. Ondraeden is a Soom ID51 London The Moor in ebony resin. Valerian is an Iple Claude vampire in grey resin. I haven't written Skerren's story yet where he meets his love, Iwa-Xine (Soom Boehm Smoke Sprite) but I have written the backstory for how Valerian becomes the person he is and ends up meeting Ondraeden, which is Metamorphosis. I'm working on Ondraeden and Valerian's story, The Dire Heart.

Sancire is a Soom ID51 London Steam Engine Rider in ebony. He was supposed to be a Dollshe 55cm Saint in espresso ebony but... Dollshe *rolls eyes & scowls*. Oddly, Sancire enters the Divine Worship World tangently to Valerian, where the events at the end of Metamorphosis propel Belial (SD Vito Berial in grey) into Sancire's path which then leads Sancire to meet Liroshan (Granado 53 Lucifer in syringa resin). Liroshan is the God of Dusk & Dawn. Liroshan and Sancire's story is Brightening The Gloaming and is yet another of my WIP's. Belial's story where he meets Kai-Wen (Raccoon Doll Elf Kai in WS) is Freedom Run.

I've obviously got a thing for grey resin, too, and I love the shade that Granado has as their grey. Truthfully, I'd probably have a hard time choosing between getting another grey boy or going for the ultra dark resin they have.

@Vindalootoo I haven't disassembled my girl's arms yet so I don't have any detailed pics of how her shoulder joints look when taken out. Honestly, though, it's quite limited in movement (just goes up and down instead of front and back) and is wide for a female body (no problem for Adhara though, as she can give a neat uppercut if annoyed enough). What's surprisingly awesome is the neck joint. It greatly increases the expressive potential of the doll's body language. You can also post in the Impl discussion about it, as I'm not the only one with the MGB there.

Here is Dormant-Adhara with Guórén from several months back. Impldoll girl bodies are very to-scale with Granado guys, if the female Embody is out of your range.

Ooo...lovely. Thanks for the info on the shoulder joint. I'd love to see a blow apart of Seventh Day's Horus body. Those arms appear to have amazing rotation.

 

Hmm...I wonder if I could ask Crocus to make a really lovely soft boy body? Minimal musculature, really soft, almost pudgy sort of features. I'd just about throw my entire savings at him for that.

 

Wouldn't hurt to ask. If it's something that gets a lot of requests he could see it as something that would sell and do it. He'd likely have the market cornered on that, too, as there doesn't seem to be very many (any?) types of bodies like that out there that aren't child bodies.

 

There are precisely zero. Plenty of curvy ladies out there, but no men.
Wait, I should specify SD size, as I have seen them fashion size, but in tiny runs by independent artists.

 

I've seen a tiny (1/12 scale I think) with a Dad-bod but he is by an independent artist on Etsy. I think Aggatti did a more chonky guy but I seem to vaguely recall he was sort of like a Tolkien Dwarf and I'm almost positive he was, at the most, MSD size but on the lowest end of the height scale.

It would be nice if there was more variety to the body types of the boys. They're either waifs who need several high calorie meals over the period of several months or gym rats who work out obsessively for hours a day. Not to say I don't like either look because I do. But a bit more choices would be nice, too.

 

Most definitely yes! I'd very much love some more diversity in male bodies. You've hit the nail on the head.

 

I ran into exactly this problem when I was looking to shell Orange, since he's a very curvy, chonky boi. I've mostly accepted that I'm going to have to cobble him together from a mix of male and female parts (boy's got some thicc thighs and booty) but I'd be there for it in a heartbeat if Granado came out with a boy body at all workable for Orange (so like 60-65cm and very fem boy)

 

That's sort of what I'm trying to do with a doll right now Ahhhh if I could sculpt then I'd just do it myself, but I think I might leave the hard work to the professionals.

 

Measurement question. I'm trying to get arrival robes done for my boyz and I find I have an absolute mental blank for extrapolating to this size. Could someone please please pretty please measure an armhole in a shirt or coat that would fit a vigor (75cm) sized body? Doesn't have to be exact, by any means. I just want to make sure I get it large enough. What I've got looks...small for the length of the robe. Thanks so much.

Which is which, and who's who? The body/head resin match on the right looks bang on, I never would have guessed hybrid if you hadn't specifically said
