1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 20

Apr 5, 2020

    1. How clever & so cute @PoeticSoul ! Going to have a look through my sock drawer now even though I’m not very confident that I could make something decent.

    2. Leave the supplies outside of where your little folk sleep, and you might be surprised come morning! :)

    3. Great idea @El BJD ! If that works I will have lots of little projects for them LOL

    4. Thanks everyone! I really enjoyed making these for him because I love the cute, whimsical patterns of Children’s socks, and they provided the perfectly ghostly patterns. I bought them all at the dollar store (helpful hint: the cheaper the socks, the thinner the fabric which works better.);) And remember to always hand sew with a back stitch. That’s the trick because you don’t lose most of your stretch that way like you do with ordinary straight stitches. In truth, I’ve always loved sock couture (it’s fun!) and I have certain dolls in all sizes whose wardrobes are comprised entirely of this whimsical style (all the way from 68cm to 9cm.):)

    5. Can someone please educate me on what scale RealPuki are? I don't know why I just can't get past obsessing over this concept of scale classification. :? I was on the DoA Height and Scale page and they say that PukiFee are 1/12 scale, but then PukiPuki and RealPuki are even smaller, so where does that leave them? I almost feel like Pukifee would be more 1/8 scale and RealPuki would be 1/12 scale?

Also, when you shop for clothes for RealPuki what search terms do you use to find the right size?

Thank you for your wisdom! :) <3

    6. I like the look of my RP with Sylvanian Family furniture & accessories & they are considered 1/16th. I don't know how applicable this will be for clothing. I've had the best luck with just getting RP specified clothes on etsy.

    7. That is really good to know. I appreciate that advise! I haven't gotten so far as to look at furniture yet, but I will sure keep that in mind when I do! I love doll display making! :)

    8. It depends what age you want them to be. Realpukis wear the same clothes as f.ex Lati white which are like babies to a Barbie (1:6). If you want them to be fairy adults they are more like 1:18 (Lundby). In 1:12 they look like toddlers or very young children.

To me a pukifee is a baby in 1:4 (minifee), but again, it really depends what age you want them to be. In 1:12 they are like chubby adults/ tweens. I think it is more common to have pukifees in 1:6-8.

An older photo of mine, but shows a realpuki, a pukipuki and Lati white sp in 1:12 furniture. I think the pukipuki is probably sitting on her knees.:)
[IMG]Supper. Frida was starving, so she had to get some s’mores while Annie and Thumbelina whooped up something more exciting, they won’t tell me what by Ruthiepooh Steen, on Flickr

Since I can't share a 2nd pic in the same post: Link to Realpuki, Pukipuki and pukifee in 1:12 sofa. My Fairyland family.

    9. I absolutely love the eyes! So perfect for Casper. I am not a fan of green but those eyes are so gorgeous and perfect that I just love them.

LicorneDream exactly the same happened to me so just had to catch up with reading many of the lovely comments.

So great to see the adorable Obi arriving at his/her new home. The beetle helmet and shell is so gorgeous. I really like the grey skin but I normally don't like fantasy colours but it just works so well.

    10. @Booksandtea You are awesome, thank you! <3 That helps a ton!

    11. Looking at everyone's Obis a thought occurred to me. With some modifications, he'd make an adorable little mouse.

    12. I agree. I hope someone takes you up on the idea. I would be tempted if mine wasn't going to be a witch.

    13. That's actually the plan I have for mine! I had a mouse a few years ago that was a little sweetie, and she's the inspiration for Obi!

    15. It's so exciting to see the arrival of so many Obis. I don't think I've seen a tan one on here yet - unless I've not gone back far enough with the posts. My little grey one is on his way to England. I hope I have as much luck as the other person (sorry for forgetting your name) and that he slips past customs.

All my other RP are in storage boxes and I cant find the box they are in. Hopefully when we find a house I'll find them all again. In the meantime I really want to make a house for my crew.

    16. WONDERFUL photos, everyone! Keep 'em coming!

We had to remove a many-years-old butterfly bush. Kaka insisted on a photo with the twisted old trunk.

    17. Lovely photo! I'd be tempted to save that piece of wood for a nice cabin!

    18. @El BJD Thank you! I love the woody texture, too!

    19. These photos are truly amazing! All your little ones have so much character, and it really shines through. Thank you all so much for sharing them with us.:)
