Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. Have you ever created a bjd based off one you had in a dream?

    1. I woke up sometime in the middle of the night last night and I had one of my (as per usual) weird dreams. This one was even more odd to me as it's the first time in the 15 years I have been collecting that I have had a dream involving BJDs that I remember!

      Not just remember, in fact, but I suddenly can't get the doll and it's concept out of my head! I was even just browsing to see if this doll was floating around the MP!

      Have you had BJD dreams? Have you ever actually put together a doll or concept from a dream?

    3. @Lillith That isn't quite what I am asking about, so I altered my title. Thank you for the link, however, I'll definitely be reading through it.

      As a side note: as someone who get nervous posting, despite being in the hobby for 15 years now, posts like the one you made can feel very abrupt and like you are scolding. It can make others not really want to create topics of discussion they haven't seen before. In this case, my title was not specific enough, so it's on me.

      I don't mean to come across as mean or harsh, so my apologies if I have. I have autism and adhd and even knowing it's probably the cause, I still had an anxiety spike with the usual physical symptoms from the rejection sensitivity that just happens. I just hope to keep open forums like this as welcoming to everyone as possible, because I know for probably a solid 10 years I was too nervous to post or even make friends in the hobby. It sounded as if you were asking about other peoples experiences with dreams about dolls and interpreted your last comment more as a description of your own experience for others to comment on or add their own to, more like a general discussion about dreams. Especially since there are similar stories in the other thread.
      With the new thread title it is much clearer. I apologize if I made you feel uncomfortable. No harm intended.

      I thought it would be best to be factual and concise, as I assumed you simply forgot to do a search before starting the thread. no judgement, just simply correcting a mistake. Not sure how I could have worded it better, though. Suggesting doing a search yourself may have come across at talking down to you and asking for how you thread was intended to differ from the other may have come across as confrontational. English is not my first language, so I thought just the facts was a good neutral approach.

I'm not really sure what wording would soften it either, it's just something that I know has bothered me because I am stupidly sensitive and I figure I can't be the only one, y'know?     6. Sort of? Over ten years ago, I dreamt of a BJD that was a multiple amputee. After waking, I wanted to make a similar doll, but I didn't want to buy a new one either. So I modded a doll I didn't feel close to. One of the mods didn't work out, so I gave her a hand back, but with surgical scars.     7. I create elaborate stories for my dolls and then use Blurb to make picture books of my stories. Sometimes when I'm working on a story line and get stuck, I'll start dreaming about the dolls in the story I'm working on. It's as if my subconscious mind is helping me resolve the story. I can think of worse things to be dreaming about!

I don't really dream of dolls my only one dream was once that I dreamt my mom accidentally damaged some and felt bad and I was saying to her "they are just dolls", loved my reaction in the dream hope I am such a nice person in real life too but I don't dream of dolls , I rarelly see dreams anyway only when I was getting a certain medication I had bizarre dreams which stopped after I finished treatment . I don't really do special things with my dolls choose dolls that I like and find beautiful dress them in a lovely outfit and admire them my point is to have something pretty not much more . Though even that is a burden today in dusting and cleaning and with my limited time burdensome sometimes

I have a lot of dreams in general, so I've had a number of dreams involving dolls, and one of them, when I was coming up with the overall concept for the new doll, I had a dream where I was actually fulfilling one distinct image out of the four that were the leading candidates at the time, so I woke up and put in a makeup order based on that concept.

    10. I dream a lot, of a lot of things. And sometimes it's doll related.
      When I was a child, I dreamed of a doll (a porcelaine doll at this time) that has deep brown hair and a beautiful blue dress. I wanted it badly, and hunted a doll with brown hair and blue dress for years. I didn't find it, (or not one that was as beautiful as the one I dreamed of) and finally gave up. But then, many years after, I found myself building the customization of a deep brown hair vampire lady (in BJD) and thanks to @AyuAna I was finally able to get her a beautiful blue dress. So my inner child is happy :)

    11. I once dreamt I had made a hybrid out of a chunky uncle body and a Zaoll head... I don't think it works in real life so that concept will have to stay in dreamland :sweat

      I've also dreamed of Volks fcs, but in my dream, it was an in-person process: you had to pick pieces from those available on a table and then go and tell about your choices to a doll committee who would then approve or not. I don't remember what I picked, though!

    12. Yes!!! He was this pale guy with long black hair. He was very quick , almost like a non human creature and I named him Sabriel. He was also kind of the leader of the Dream World and he was a nephilim.
