@Blankqueen -- thank you! I think I've given myself Miro-mania, too. XD I can't wait to get a Mika, yours is lovely! The faceup and styling are just flawless on her.

@chalyss -- thanks so much! I looove doing faceups, even if they're a lot of work. Your guy looks great, and his clothes are just wow... I love that tan shade to bits, I'll probably get my Mika in tan.

 

@chalyss yes! It is bigger than I expected, the reason why I didn't get the Bella body is because I find the neck long and I knew it was going to bother me so I went ahead and got Venus.

@Blankqueen your Mika is beautiful ! I love the way you styled her and faceup looks lovely!

According to Mirodoll's FB, my Lightning was shipped on the 25th, but I still haven't gotten any tracking info... in so much suspense waiting XD

 

What color did you order lighting in? You should be getting your tracking soon.

 

Thanks missmerrythe3rd and sunnysailor on my Mika photos! She's a very inspiring girl for me. While I love all my Miro darlings, she's definitely one of my favourites. Must not tell the others though... Hehe!

Missmerrythe3rd, you're getting a Lightning as well! How exciting!! I'm also curious about which skintone and body you picked for her and if you already have a style/look in mind for her. I miss my Lightning, it's been ages since I've seen her. She shares the 70cm girl body with my Iris, so she's in fact been in a head box for months... poor thing! Hehe! She's going to be one angry elf when I dig her out of the box. Hehe!

I took some pics of my Annie and Apollo outdoors. I was surprised that these hair colours worked on them as well as they did. I was sure their natural and rather light face-ups could not take such strong colours, but they proved me wrong.

@Blankqueen I follow you in Flickr for a long time. I had never thought that Mirodoll can be so beautiful before I saw your photos.

 

@sunnysailor and @Blankqueen -- My Lightning is in the normal skin classic (I chose a sand-able skintone for her in case I want to make any modifications), and on the 62cm body. I wanted her to be a bit taller to balance out the bigger head. I thought out the 70cm body too, but I thought that would be a bit *too* tall for me (my 65cm EID girl is seriously as tall as I can handle, heh. So heavy O_o). I'm probably going to base her off one of my Blood elf alts in World of Warcraft, probably my rogue, Jett. She definitely has a style picked out, a bit WoW rogue aesthetic meets Harley Quinn. She should be here in a couple days (DHL is always super fast for me) -- I'm so excited =D

Thank you Etaniel! I'm so happy you like what I do with my Miros. I don't know exactly why, but Mirodolls have been the most inspiring dolls for me to photograph for years now, ever since I bought my grey Rain. I think the thing is, that Miro BJDs leave you with that room for imagination and provide just that hint more of a challenge than some other BJDs. Their price point is such that you feel braver to try new things. While they are lovely dolls as they are, you can still feel the satisfaction of making them even more to your own liking. Too much perfection tends to be boring for me. Hehe! I love discovering the potential in dolls and Mirodolls can be absolute gems for that. ( BTW, I noticed I've admired your Alma on Flickr before already, but I now properly discovered your albums. What wonders you have there, such beauty!!)

Missmerrythe3rd, how exciting! I hope your parcel gets to you soon!! Yes, I'd prefer dolls well below 70cm as well, but some aesthetics you just don't seem to be able to get in smaller forms. The 62cm body is in fact my favourite of the Miro girl bodies. Your plan for her sounds like so much fun! I can't wait to see her in full glory.

@Alewife Thanks very much!! I had such fun with Wind in the woods. The day was so lovely and the mood so calm, I really enjoyed myself there. I heard birds singing and regardless of the fact that I had Wind along, it was not windy at all. Hehe!
You're so right about the Miros. They indeed as if call for us to take that next step with them and find our own vision, daring us to find their true essence.
