Pipos PO-11 Size Tinies

Thank you so very much, I've had a hard time deciding weather or not I want an LTF or Dorothy, I'm to the point that I might even try a hybrid of the two. But I do adore Dorothy's body so much!

 

After a looooooooooong wait, my Dorothy, River, finally has her faceup. Here she is with my most recent Po11 girl, Ginger, a Noel.

Standing next to each other, the height difference is definitely noticeable. The 2.0 body looks like an older sibling.

 

River and Ginger are incredibly lovely! You are right, the 2.0 body really does look like an older sister. River's faceup really works well with that wig. Congrats on the faceup and your new Noel!

Do you find the new body filling out yosd clothes a bit better?

Actually, not really...she's a little narrower than the older body, so the extra space used by the boobage is just replacing that. It will be nice to get her into some more mature looking styles that show off her "charms", though.

She was bought secondhanded here in DoA market by impulse, but I love her the most now

Sorenka, she's very cute! Which face-up does she have - Limited or Gift? It's very pretty

 

Orianne is so sweet, Sorenka! Her faceup is lovely. Sometimes impulse buys work out so well. My Pipos Noel was an impulse buy for me as well, I didn't research much at all, just saw an owner pic, fell in love, and bought her from DDE. However, even researching these girls can be tricky. Anyway, I'm so glad I got her, she is one of my favorites, too. Aren't they just beautiful? That is such a nice dress you have for her, also!

I agree with you totally! It is a cute coincidence, that your Noel is also adopted on impulse XD

The only trouble I experience with Orianne is restringing her. Maybe I should really consider using S-hook.
Choosing clothing can be tricky too as Pipos' shoulders are quite... "narrow".

Wow, long time no posts.

That's really only the case with the most recent Dorothy release...the original three-part bodies aren't as narrow on top. Unfortunately, they're not releasing the three-part bodies any longer, according to their Q/A customer service rep (I asked if I could get it as an option on the upcoming doll).

What do people think of new body for the upcoming Frog Prince release? They've swapped the upper torso joint with a lower hip joint, but they still don't have a waist joint. I think I like it better than the Dorothy body, but I need to see how well it poses before I commit.

I am also very curious about the tan skin they show in the popup...it's a lovely color. Hopefully it will be available as an option on the basic girl and not just for the fullset.

 

I think the preview of the tan resin is quite lovely! I like the sculpt a lot as well, but it seems to be very similar to Dorothy. In general, I'm not a big fan of low torso joints - I like the joint to be either upper torso or a regular waist joint. I can't wait to see more pictures, though!

 

I agree, her face reminds me of Dorothy. Ordinarily I don't care for the hip joint, but I haven't been that thrilled with the Dorothy body, so maybe this one will work better for me. In any case, as much as I like the tan, I may need to stick with NS in hopes of getting her an older body. We'll see what the new body looks like posing in pics.

It is interesting...my Edmund (Ed) is one of my best BJD kids for posing and behavior....I am very
curious to see new body....and wonder why the change?

 

They've been teasing them off and on, but the dolls are up on the website now. Looks like the actual sale won't start until 2/5, which may be too late for her to work as an anniversary present from my husband.

 

Does anyone know how much the limiteds have cost in previous releases? Just wanting to estimate roughly how much they might cost XD

 

Tin Man from the last release was $420, I'm pretty sure Dorothy was the same. I'm curious if there will be an upcharge for the tan versions.

OMG, I love Lloyd!! I want to try for the limited edition, but I have never done so. How fast will he really sell out? I'm thinking it's a "click war" like for Volks items, am I right?

 

I might be completely wrong, but didn't they offer them for a certain period of time, regardless of how many orders they got?
Anyways, the new boy and girl are adorable! But the removal of the other torso joint really saddens me... the upper joint is so helpful when posing...
Oh but I see they also changed their hands, right? The fingers look really tiny and thin!

 

I don't remember previous releases, but a number limit is posted for each of the limited edition dolls this time around. As for the bodies, I love the new ones! Without the upper joint, I think the body looks much cuter!
